I gave the 2019 spider putter a try and I could never get the feel down, the face was super hot and I felt like I was putting with a rattle snake and went back to my trusty Cameron putter. Six weeks ago I decided to give the new Spider model T3 a go, and I am so glad I did. What a great putter and after 16 years of using a Scotty Cameron and the last four with the square back model I have now gone to the Spider, the face is perfect and not as hot as the earlier version and will definitely be in my bag for years to come. In the short time I have used it I have dropped some bombs with it and feel like I can’t miss with it from five feet. I never thought I would ever use a mallet putter but I am glad I gave it another try.

I got the spider Tour in January after a fitting it’s a great feeling putter and feels you with confidence.
Noticed that I get a more consistent roll too.
My miss was always left didn’t realise that a face balance wasn’t rite for me now have a toe hang.
Taylor made it’s a great putter.

Discovered the same thing after a fitting, my miss was left with CS FB putter, went to something with a little toe hang and started making more putts as it also helped with my aiming for some reason.

I tried them all in the shop, have to say it came down to the Tour and Tour X both with a little tow hang, I preferred the look of the X and went with it, very happy with my purchase.

I went and tried all these out at my local Golf Galaxy...ended up ordering the Z3 with a slant neck that night. I didn't mind looking down at all 4 of the different models but the Z fit my stroke the best. Absolutely loved it.

Best of luck with your new putter. Be sure the length and the lie angle match your setup! - DD

@@DavidDusek yessir. 68* lie, 1.5* weaker loft (4.5* instead of 3*), +1.5” longer, and an extra wrap.

As usual, first one here. I keep winning great golf stuff from David Dusek Golf. Just joking, so you all don't send him lots of RUclips mail. Appreciate the video and have a good one.

Hello, I've tried to old (2023) Spider Gtx and loved it. Unfortunately they don't do it anymoe... Which of the new spider would be the closest? Tour? Tour x?

GTX has a massive steel bar in the back that boosts the MOI a ton, so among the 2023 Spider Tour putters I’d guess the standard Spider Tour would be the closest from an MOI perspective. I can see on TaylorMade website that GTX is available at a sweet discount. www.taylormadegolf.com/taylormade-putters-spiderGTX/?lang=en_US

I have failed to find an image of the Spider Tour Black with anything other than 2 x 2g (3 grams actual) of weight in the back ports. So how do you tune an E-1(swing-weight) chassis down to the
D-7 that Tiger plays? And Tiger plays 35", which would make my 34" head into F-3 swing-weight. The chassis is so heavy, that any tour player playing it, has to be using a 'custom' variation, and not something that you can buy in the shops. Don't get me wrong, It looks great, better than the follow on models, and it has its 'attributes' but adjustability doesn't seem to be one of them. Dustin has moved on, but Jason, bless him, is still using his. 3 grams in the butt, means that the ports are cosmetic, whatever the merits of the overall head design. However, there must be heavier weights in the new gunmetal version. Swing-weight NEVER shows up in the specs.

Does anyone know if the cover is magnetic or Velcro?

The head covers on the new TaylorMade Spider Tour putters are magnetic. - DD

Rory has not won a major w/ a Spider putter. He won the PGA with a blade...
