Loved it when Detective Casey actually paused/waited looking over to Brooks and his expression is pretty much saying “Come on object so the judge will say overruled and I can give my answer.”

      Miss Stephanie, it is a common sovereign citizen tactic. They will use what is referred to as "Legaleze" out of the context of the posed meaning of a motion, so that they can appeal or request a mistrial based upon their lack of understanding. The misuse of key terms and phrases is purposefully done,, as it creates a foundation to demonstrate their lack of understanding. For most of the Sovereign Citizens that try this B.S., I can tell its all an act, yet there are a few that are dead-set on asserting that their interpretation of a legal word or phrase and the law is correct and the Family, Civil and Criminal Courts along with all attornies (Which they all work for the British Government because they use the word "Esquire") being wrong or mistaken on the definitions and use and application of certain legal words, phrases and laws.
      It's disgusting to watch, as their ideology is one of their not being liable, negligent or guilty of most crimes due to codified laws (Example: "State" Penal Code §187, 1st Degree Murder) not being applicable to them. Those codified laws are called "False Laws", and this is why he asks if the judges decisions are based on "Legal Law". The Sovereign Philosophy is a narcissists dream come true in the venue of law, as they believe they are remaining immune to most laws and living by only The Constitution and Common Law. They feel that all courts are Admiralty Courts (Identified by the U.S. Flag having a Gold Fringe around it), which would be a maritime court that addresses vessels, shipping and international trade law. That is why he raises "Subject Matter Jurisdiction", asserting that the court is not the right venue to address criminal charges and convictions. Therefore the court is operating outside of its jurisdiction and is not qualified to hear the subject matter, which are the criminal charges for Murder (6), 60+ charges for felonious assault with a deadly weapon and each charge has a "Deadly Weapons Enhancement". They believe that those charges should be heard in a Common Law court, which do not really exist, yet some would assert that a Civil Court would be a correct venue in some instances. This is why he refers to the State Prosecution as a Plaintiff, which is a term that is usually reserved for Civil Court proceedings. It's all a thing and you can see how deep the Sovereign Citizen rabbit hole goes, as I only covered about 5% of it. I hope this helps understand his faulty and misguided tactic,... if we can call it that. Cheers!

      @@luxonlex4453 thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lengthy and informative responds. Some of the things you mentioned I had kind of figured out (through goggle and other research) but it’s nice to know I understood what I researched correctly.
      I figured out that the majority of his “I don’t understand or can you explain that to me” are just tactics and a way to disrupt the proceedings. Brooks understands everything that is going on in that courtroom and throughout the trial. He is fairly intelligent. Ok, I give him maybe not understanding some legal procedures right away since he isn’t a attorney but he understands everything perfectly fine once it’s explained to him. Again, he is fairly intelligent.
      It’s just frustrating to hear him object to pretty much every single question. I thought it was purely to disrupt the flow of the testimony/questioning of the witnesses or to confuse the civilian witnesses, since they are not used to being on a witness stand and are nervous to begin with.
      Thank you for informing me that the excessive objecting and misuse of grounds for objecting is actually a tactic for appeal.

And he should have realized by now that the judge was going to overrule every single one of his ridiculous objections because they made no sense. It feels like he’s trying to find out everything he can about how he was “caught” and how far and wide his actions got attention from. No remorse, no empathy for the families he impacted and the lives he took, he just wanted to be notorious for anything. His music video clearly didn’t do the job and so this unfortunately did. I’d love to see him as a case study in the future for psych students. He does not understand what he’s doing when he’s questioning victims because he’s making it worse for him self out of pure greediness. Which frankly I don’t care about. He needs to rot in a hole since he’s a danger to all including himself, but it is painful to watch people on the stand testifying to his atrocities and not being able to escape him for those moments.

    I'm telling you right now if the judge was male he would not be acting this way. He's used to treating women like this. My ex of 15 yrs was similar. If we had a female homeowner we rented from back then he would treat her differently. It was humiliating. Female waitresses,females at the drive thro window, female store clerks.. if it was a women he would be rude..funny enough every time it was a man he was polite and rarely ever combative. I can spot men like him with egos the size of the moon who are womanizing narrcassisits a MILE away now! In his mind he charmed her and probably even believes she likes him. I can see him going back to the jail telling his homies how much she's into him when reality is she's just a REALLY GREAT Judge whose making this as fair as possible for his ungrateful a**. She has shown nothing but patience with Brooke's to show the jury she's impartial. That's her job and she's done it magnificently!

    I'm watch Kirby again in this trial and he is truly amazing. Brooks just wants to try to prove to Kirby that he is wrong in some way in his police reports/testimony to discredit him - to get back at him for protecting Erika and Corrie. He wants Kirby to think Brooks still "owns" Erika. He is so jealous that he decided to do this instead of calling someone who could possibly help his case (which there is no one). His narcissism and jealousy of Erika are so great that he wanted to do this instead of trying to fight for his life. Kirby we all love you - you are so great to protect the women that day - a wonderful trait you have - hold onto it. You did great in your appearance in court.

I do believe the judge watched all his action during the trail and also during victim statements and she came down on him during her sentencing statements. She let him know exactly what she felt and that in the END she was in control and had power over him and she will tell him what he will do... Everything said about him and to him was correct and valid.

    • @brie9960
      @brie9960 Год назад +14

      I don’t think him calling his witnesses is to even help him. I believe its cause he wants to harass certain people as his personal revenge. There’s no reason to call Erika back but he’s doing it anyway. There was no reason to call Kirby other than question him about the knife that was mentioned and he didn’t get the answers he wanted regarding why it was brought up (DB felt he was lied on and wanted payback) and because he couldn’t fight/ control him on the street. Same with calling the State. He knows it wouldn’t work and didn’t care, he was proving (a dismissed and irrelevant) point. He has no defense and no one to come to his defense and he knows it
