Awesome video! Your videos really helped me when I was applying, and I got accepted this cycle to my top pick! Thanks for all the advice and have a great 2019!
okay , so basically you guys have your semester end exams in MCQ pattern ?? in India its totally different . we have to write long essays , short essays and shorts notes. like really huge answers
Michael Indig I'm class of 2022. We don't need to do part 1 and 2 boards. We just take 1 integrated board exam. And it's way more clinically applicable. Not tons of basic sciences
Don't really stress about much right now. Life will get full of that constantly in the future. Definitely try your best to get good grades so you can get into the best University possible. And if you really want to get ahead maybe look to work as a lab tech at a dental office
For me there was sooo much pressure on studying for the DAT because I know I needed to get as many correct as possible to get a good score. With boards all you have to do is pass! You can miss tons and still pass
Hey Trevor, Thanks for the video. After taking the exam which resource would you say was more useful-dental decks or the mastery app? Also did you use first aid at all? I’m at UConn Dental and plan to take the exam later this year and am trying to decide which tools I want to use... My school has free access to boards and beyond because Dr. Ryan teaches here so I was leaning towards not using first aid because I already have BNB. I do really like practice questions so I was leaning towards either the mastery app or decks, but in your experience we’re both necessary? Thank you! Becca
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience, I wanted to know if at the time of studying for the dental decks you only read question and answer or also read all the explanation, I ask because to achieve it in 2 weeks is a lot of information!
HI. I hope your doing well. I am dental student in my second year. I am studying dentistry in Egypt and the system is a bit different in that dentistry here is 6 year as opposed to your 4 years. I've studied subjects like anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, oral histology, dental anatomy, biomaterials etc. I have yet to take anything of clinical side like crown. I want to do the NBDE and I have a question which I hope you can answer. Does the NBDE part 1 have an expiration date? Like if I do once I finish year 2 and graduate 4 years later will it still be viable? I've been watching your for a while and I was hoping that you could help me out here as I don't know who else to ask
Absolutely. If you are learning from cadavers, go into lab as much as possible. There's a ton of info to get down so staying on top of the material each week will get you a whole letter grade higher on tests rather than waiting for a few days before to start cramming.

Can you tell us the whole books/materials to pass NBDE PART 1 and 2

Begins 6:10
Thank you so much! This video is really helpful!
Can you explain the ndbe part 1 and 2 part. Its difficult for many of us from the outside.
So glad we get to do integrated boards lol
Yeah I'm real jealous of that
Wait what does that mean?
Michael Indig I'm class of 2022. We don't need to do part 1 and 2 boards. We just take 1 integrated board exam. And it's way more clinically applicable. Not tons of basic sciences
And extra time to study for CBSE lol.
So, do you think if I have the option to choose I should go for the integrated exam instead of part 1? There are rumors it's more difficult!
I can’t wait to hear how it went! 🙂
Hello Trevor thanks for your video can you please share how many cards you finished each day ?
Did you finish whole decks
woahhh I tore my achilles playing flag football in Nov 2018. Fall of D1 year. crazy coincidence. hope all is well.
Thank you ! It was helpful !!
I love your videos, I plan on becoming a dentist
How did you afford both resources, isn't it expensive?
Ouch hope your doing well try water walking no maybe it’s great rehab
What would you say to a high schooler (10th grade) to help now to make my chances better of being a dentist?
Don't really stress about much right now. Life will get full of that constantly in the future. Definitely try your best to get good grades so you can get into the best University possible. And if you really want to get ahead maybe look to work as a lab tech at a dental office
I was surprised when you said you would much rather be studying for the boards than the DAT. Why do you feel that way exactly? Really curious.
For me there was sooo much pressure on studying for the DAT because I know I needed to get as many correct as possible to get a good score. With boards all you have to do is pass! You can miss tons and still pass

I would just use mastery app in your situation! That with BnB will more all you need to dominate. Good luck!!
Can you make a video on how you make a dental deck?it would help me with my dental studying life too
Did you pass the exam? I want to try your technique in 1 month. I just want to be sure that i am not the only crazy here lol
Yeah I did! Just go as hard as you can for those 2 weeks and you'll be good to go
Thank you man, I will try my best!
Good video Trevor! Did you read your dental school notes again? Do you think going through the flash cards is enough?
I did a little of there was something I had forgotten. But most of it came back without my old notes
Your alive!!
Only took me a few months lol

How much is a dental deck that someone has already used and doesn't need it anymore ? 🙏
Hi! where do u buy the flashcards? Thanks!
Where did you get those flash cards from?
Did you study from any from books?

Do you have any tips or study resources for gross anatomy?
Absolutely. If you are learning from cadavers, go into lab as much as possible. There's a ton of info to get down so staying on top of the material each week will get you a whole letter grade higher on tests rather than waiting for a few days before to start cramming.
Don't vanish again, for God sake.
Haha it's one of my resolutions this year to not do that again
Was there any picture questions there?
Nope
Pass?
Yeap
Hey buddy please dont get off topic, constantly going on and forth about your medical drama made the video less relevant as well as boring.
Lol
did you study all the gross anatomy flash cards ?
please reply ASAP!
thank you :)
Does the ndbe score matter for applying to specialties?
Nope we don't even receive our score
What is the test I am thinking of that you need a good score on for specialties? And when do u take it? Thanks Trevor!
Each specialty has it's own exam you need to take. For me, I'm taking the CBSE this upcoming August to later apply to OMFS residency programs
🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍😍😍
U only studied 11 days? Wow, i studied for 2 mon.hahaha
Sabrina Marie did you pass The exam?
I’m three years out and I want to start studying, hence why I’m here lol XD

Is the Decks you use volume 13?
