Hey could you do a video on how u can tell if your shoulders are aligned and feelings in your muscles you are looking for I can’t seem to understand where my mental game should be when it comes to engaging the right muscle’s
@@championcityoutdoors2591 I've literally got notes for my next video with this in it already. Good timing on our part!! This video will most likely come out next week.
Glad to see you back in the video making world! I do disagree with you on the pulling through the shot. This was a method taught to me back in the late 80's when I was learning to shoot a bow. It generates the truest surprise shot, and leads less to target panic(which I have had severe cases of in the past) and punching than any form of controlling the shot. Whether that be punching a trigger or rolling a hinge on command. I have used about every form of release on the market, and have found if you can focus on just pulling, and not moving your fingers at all, it helps focus on execution, and leads less to nerves taking over and forcing a shot to break. I have also found that focusing on a low wrist grip with a lot of emphasis on the "low" pressure causes me to me miss a lot high. I like a lower wrist grip, probably just slightly lower than mid wrist pressure but not excessive to keep the bow from driving up or down at the break of the shot.
I need to save this video. It's super helpful. I keep making adjustments and the solution is always more front weight and more holding weight. It's really working at keeping the bow steady.
Welcome back. A few months back my wife noticed see could she her string cables in her peep while aiming. For a while we didnt know what was going on. We now think it was her hand grip position. Maybe torquing the bow. So now if she sees the cables in her peep she lets down and concentrates on getting a better grip. Maybe some that you could address in a future video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Glad to have your videos back! Hope you do one on pin sitting low? And wants to stay there. Its not target panic because i can raise up into it just have to fight my shoulder.
Thanks for making the videos again!!! I took a year off after moving. I have had a problem bobbing low for a long time. I thought I had a low grip, but discovered after watching your video that my grip was really medium. I refocused my grip preasure for a low grip and VIOLA!! Thanks again!!!
Also let off makes a difference. With lower let off (65-70), the holding weight to mass weight ratio is higher. With high let off, (85-90), the holding weight to mass weight ratio is lower. With lower let off, the holding force is more horizontal making the archer hold the bow back. With high let off, the holding force is more vertical making the archer hold the bow up. 60 pounds with 90% let off = 06 pounds holding weight. 60 pounds with 85% let off = 09 pounds holding weight. 60 pounds with 80% let off = 12 pounds holding weight. 60 pounds with 75% let off = 15 pounds holding weight. 60 pounds with 70% let off = 18 pounds holding weight. 60 pounds with 65% let off = 21 pounds holding weight.
@rcrchery I started Archery 2 years ago now, never thought I'd find anything to replace the 2 wheels I Raced Globally all My life, your videos have expedited my learning immensely... Outdoor 3D is my Passion, not soo much indoor Vegas Hahaha... Thanks Mate 🏴☠️🏹🏁
@@fredmerkel1447 That's awesome to hear! True story, I picked up archery to help fuel my competitive drive after deciding to not race motocross anymore. It's a safer thrill but different for sure.
It's not a ton that's for sure. Just what I'd say is normal for the average archer. 8 Upfront on a 30 inch bar and then 12 out back on a 15 inch bar. Keep in mind this bow doesn't tilt back for me bare so I didn't need as much front weight as a Hoyt bow would for example. On a Hoyt I would run 12+ upfront and then possibly 10 out back. But overall weight of the bow is around 8ish pounds I believe.
Question: With a low grip, you mentioned there's a small gap between the web of your hand and the riser. How do you stabilize lft/rt in changing wind direction (ie..headwind changing to lft/rt and back again)?
It’ll be where you’re aiming well at the middle then, usually, you lose a little bit of tension against the backwall and your sight pin drops and the shot fires at the same time.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes back! Glad to be putting some videos out again!

Thanks for the idea! Sometimes with the new bows and flex cable guards this happens naturally but yes sometimes it can be grip torque for sure.
So glad you're back your videos have helped my form immensely
Hey!!!! Great to see you! Welcome back.
Glad you came back.
We miss you big guy.

Does it work when you settle down onto the target to get to the middle or is it from here that it wants to go low?
Good to see someone still shooting a focus an not just the latest and greatest
I love my focus. I'm tempted by the new bows but this one is such a shooter I don't need to change.
@@rcrchery yeah still have mine, nothing really jumps out at me enough to change.
I'm glad you're back. I like your content

Glad you are back Robert!
Thank you for the new video my friend. Sorry for the late viewing as I was busy this week
Thank you for watching!
Hey man, glad you’re back!
That bonus tip echoes with me. I have been shooting like that since the beginning and have always wonder if it is normal, I guess I am not alone!
When I switched to a low wrist style grip my bow settled on target and held much better for sure!
Yes best coaching channel on RUclips is back :)
Thank you very much!
Nice to see you back!
Welcome back
Glad to see you back
Welcome back sir!!
Welcome back!
nice to see you again
Curious to know how much stabilizer weight you have fitted for & aft ? Doesn't appear excessive like some we see that can cause dip/bangs.

Glad you could watch!
I guess that was just at the beginning of the video
Thanks.
Question: With a low grip, you mentioned there's a small gap between the web of your hand and the riser. How do you stabilize lft/rt in changing wind direction (ie..headwind changing to lft/rt and back again)?
I'll put a little pressure into the front of the grip with my index to help hold.
Thanks!
What are Dip Bangs

Good job bud good job but what's wrong with your camera your face looks all distorted
