    I got a 3” leveling kit from rough country. And they do give upper control arms. And they include the spacer blocks for the rear. And front and rear shocks and torsion keys. I guess it depends on what truck u have. It cost me around $750 and made my duramax look really nicr

I bought a 2017 Toyota Tundra last March. 2 weeks later I have 4 1/2 inch BDS on 20/10 33/13 , bushwhacker fenders flare. 3 weeks ago I installed ADD stealth fighter bumper, Go Rhino sports bar n Bak X4 bed cover. Bad ass looking truck

    I recently bought a 2019 Tundra Crewmax Limited. It’s my daily commuter. I don’t plan to do a bunch of off road. I would occasionally like to tow a Travel Trailer. I wanted to change the factory shocks with TRD Pro Fox Shocks, not sure if I should get the coil over with reservoir. I think a leveling kit is best but I wonder the just changing the shocks with add the lift I want.

      reservoirs are overkill unless you're doing a good amount of offroad, otherwise most people cant tell a difference between non reservoir.

Pretty much, a video of What Are Lift Kits for Jeeps made of....? What parts give these lifts the "Flex" over rocks and obstacles on the trails? Are there better or worse Brands?... I have a 2015 ram four wheel drive that I'd would just like to level. I am considering front spacers but have been told something like Bilstein 5100's would be a better option. I do not off-road and truck will barely even see gravel. Im considering going with spacers for that reason but would like a more professional opinion. By the way your videos are awesome! Keep up the great work!

    It doesn't answer the question of what should be done to the rear of a stock truck when doing a 2.5" coilover to the front. Do you replace the rear shocks? Add spacers to the rear? Leave the rear stock?

    • @CustomOffsetsTV
      @CustomOffsetsTV  5 лет назад +1

      The choice is yours

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus 2 года назад

      when people do coilovers in the front with a 2.5" lift, like Fox king Icon Bilstein etc, usually they add a little something to the rear like a lift block or add-a-leaf to keep it level or a tad higher in the rear. Rear shocks are usually always upgraded/changed when doing front coilovers, most brands have matching rear shocks. You dont want awesome shocks in front and be limited by your rear shocks

      if you're looking for more articulation you're going to want to get into actual offroading oriented setups, long travel/mid etc etc! for rears, you can get a few companies that sell leafs. Deaver is one of the more popular

      sometimes you can get a lifted strut for the front, instead of the factory ones, to gain another inch or two on the front. Or put a taller spacer there than what RC already uses (not advised).

    Correct me if I'm wrong
    Between all the mods in suspension and/or chassis lifting or leveling; won't the alignment of the drive train of any brand vehicle need to be realigned compared to coming from the factory being on spec?
    I've been thinking just recently of either "lifting/leveling" out my Taco but yet don't want to suffer mpg due to having any of the chassis or suspension compromised by the aftermarket mods. I've seen some cool ass looking Tacos around me that're lifted/leveled out but wonder how the installation and/or realignment is done.

      alignment is easy with most kits. If you're talking driveshaft angle, there's carrier bearing spacers that get used to correct that angle on taller lift kits

      Anything over 3" we recommend a kit with a differential drop to avoid bad angles. Take a look at the kits that work for your 2017 ram 1500 4x4 here!

    So would a spacer leveling kit do ok when off-roading or should I get a suspension leveling kit?

      A suspension lift would be ideal but if you are just doing some mild off-roading a spacer kit should be just fine! Check out our suspension kits here if you are interested in an upgrade!

      if you go 3" or higher on the front shock tower, its advised to get new upper control arms for alignment, and to allow for the full cycling of the suspension while offroad.

      Tough call, both good choices! If you had to choose between the 2 i would go with the Pro Comp kit because it is a little more friendly especially on the angles and you would also get some good ride quality out of it as well

    I have a 2017 f150 that I put a 2.5” leveling kit on and added 33” tires. The issue arose when I found out new f150s have the crash bars. The guys I had doing it had to then use a press to move the bars back slightly, but it still rubs some especially in reverse. My question now is if I were to do a 3 or 4” lift kit, would that clear all the rubbing??
