    Great memories about the seventies and discovering all the beautiful music from that era. What a time to grow up in! And then finding out about the decade before that. I may sound old ( I am), but the musicbusiness has since then changed rapidly into a moneymaking monster. The Love and Art in writing and composing is now only found within a few authentic and talented musicians. They have become a rare species. But the ones that thrive are our hope for the future.

    • @vonjunzt4130
      @vonjunzt4130 4 года назад +14

      perhaps not as many artists match Klaus in modern times. but there are literally hundreds of electronic musicians today that are decidedly not in it for the money.

    • @Korgano
      @Korgano 4 года назад +12

      @@vonjunzt4130 Totally agree. I spend a lot of time on bandcamp, and there's an amazing electronic scene there, particularly when it comes to aesthetics-based genres. Many artists are asking for little to nothing for their albums. Tons of passion projects there.

    • @FranSchultzMusic
      @FranSchultzMusic 4 года назад +4

      @@Korgano I have a page there at Bandcamp. I spend more time making music than I have time for updating or adding information there and to my own website. Artists who are new or unknown who are in it for money will be extremely disappointed. I have just enough time to create new music, make some artwork for each piece nowadays.

    • @ceef8688
      @ceef8688 3 года назад +3

      seems like others agree, bandcamp is a beautiful turning point for our musical culture. The middle men have been reduced to a tiny percent of a direct profit to the artist. And you can find musicians making music in your town, you can hear albums made in basements that maybe no one has ever heard... or best in my mind, a lot of artists from the 80s or 90s who played that record company game for so long, earning 10 cents for every cd they sold--now they can get 8 bucks handed straight to them, by those who haven't forgotten them, for a career of dedicated artwork.
      Oh, plus you don't have to buy the clutter anymore, unless you want to--no plastic, no shipping, less pollution. This is a great moment.

    This has been cued in my car's CD player all week long. I had an amazing time listening to this on the way to church this morning and watching flocks of birds fly through the air. The block of ice surrounding my heart melts just a little bit every time I hear the lead sounds beginning at the 12th minute mark. Echoes of Time is lonely and melancholic, yet gentle and calming, like watching snowflakes hit the ground during a blizzard.

    Ouvindo aqui a noite em plena floresta amazônica, no auge dessa pandemia. Sons da música misturados aos sons da mata me fazem perceber o quanto somos insignificantes comparados ao universo físico e o quanto somos privilegiados em ter consciência de nossa finitude. Se no fim de nossa história não tiver um deus para nos consolar, valeu a vivência com a percepção desse universo maravilhoso.

    Semana del 25 al 29 de abril de 2022, triste semana para los seguidores de la música de Tangerine Dream y en particular de uno de sus fundadores Klaus Schultz. Porque a los 74 años de edad, muere éste infatigable investigador de los teclados y de la música electrónica espacial. Dejando una colección de excelentes trabajos. Como una casualidad previo a esta semana, estaba disfrutando de algunas de sus obras, y se dá la desaparición física de de KS, pero su legado queda, pues larga vida inclusive después de la vida...

      yves SALANON Bodylove est à mon avis aussi intéressant. Quand on fait abstraction du film, j'ai découvert Bodylove sans savoir qu'il avait été utilisé pour un film et je l'ai bcp apprécié.

      Genial! Has indeed something in common with Wagner... "melodia infinita" and "leit motiv".

    Timeless. Recorded 1975? and yet sounds 80s 90s and beyond. Echoes of a genius

      They are searching and hoarding for the equipment, analogue synths, sequensers thnking that the magic is hidden in them. But it won't just appear by rubbing and connecting them. I remember reading an interview where the journalist asked of the almost agoraphobic amount of possibilities the synthesisers offer. Schulze answered that to master them it takes hours of playing every day to harness them for the creativity.

      i think you're over-exaggerating a little bit, this tune for example is quite standard, nothing that isn't heard today. Be honest with yourself.

      I knew when everyone switched to sterile digital synths in the 80s that they were making a terrible mistake. The DX7 was an awful thing. I hoarded my analogues and eventually people sobered up and realised they are an instrument in their own right and they came back into use. The irony is that this bastard stole all mine, my Moog Prodigy, my SCI Pro-One, my Juno 106 and my Jen SX-1000 (an underrated little gem). I still weep.
      But at least I was right.
