A Havening Exercise for Immediate Anxiety Relief: CPR for the Amygdala® with Dr. Kate Truitt

    Dr. Kate will invite you to turn inward and notice/rank an experience of distress or disturbance that has continued to cause ruminating anxiety or worry from your Amygdala, or a physiological experience of tension or stress.
    She will then walk you through visualizing a personal journey that activates all your senses, and will use breathing exercises to further enhance relaxation. This calming video will take you to a safe space within your mind’s eye where you can appreciate the beauty of what your very own visualization can create.

    I was extremely anxious this winter and could not figure out what was causing it but it was constant. Your videos have helped me so much. I just noticed how calm I feel after doing this exercise. I go to therapy, do yoga, and walk to manage my stress. This has helped me more than anything. Thank you.

    Can we did thing so much that the memory eventually fades?

      Yes! We're helping the brain release the the encoded memory tied into stress and survival. It will not "erase" the memory, so to speak (of course!), but it will soften it and help it become a regular memory. Sending you much healing and warmth!

      @@DrKateTruitt Thank you for replying to me. Sorry to ask another question, but how could I achieve this? Make a memory have no effect over me anymore?
      I also suffer with anxiety with air travel and it ruins my life. I want to see the world but I’m trapped by this stupid fear I have 😔
