    Thank you so much Dr. Kate! This exercise and daily plan goes so much further than the usual regulation tools, taking you just out of anxiety or the freeze response. But your routine does take us TO another state. A positive, dopamine and serotonin supported state of mind and being. A true alternative, that our brain will eventually choose over that agitated, aroused and stressed state of living.
    I only just started following this routine, yet I can already see where this is going. Moreover, I can consciously decide where I want to go, by choosing those qualities and positive states of mind that need to be strengthened or even established. That is so amazing to be able to shape my mindset and my brain my own way! There's nothing more powerful out there that I know of.
    Asking "what if I was..." also makes my mind find its own ways and wants. I don't need externally provided affirmations any longer, since my mind wraps itself around that subject and comes up with creative answers to currently lingering issues. That's soooo relieving and already calming in itself. Woo-hoo!

      I agree! Im just beginning to practice these. Im also seeing a somatic trauma Psychotherapist. So Dr. Kate's videos is a great addition. I just finished her book, Healing in Your Hands.

    I wake up most days with the freeze response. It used to last 8+ hours but I've been getting better and it's now about 20 minutes long. Do you have any tips to mitigate it?
