Hello dr. Truitt, I just stumbled upon your videos. I’ve been struggling with anxiety about falling asleep and not getting enough so it pushes me into a spiral all day. I really hope that I can practice these exercises and that they help.

I was just directed to your stuff via my therapist, and gave these techniques a try. I notice the shoulder's technique gives me body chills or tingles, they arent comfortable either. The other techniques dont so much so I will probably use those first. However im curious on your 2 cents, what do you think about the shoulder touch giving the chills/tingles? Im quite puzzled about that, its something I often feel when facing physical touch from others as well.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for being so thoughtful about how your body is responding. It’s not uncommon for certain techniques, like the shoulder touch, to trigger chills or tingles, especially if physical touch has felt uncomfortable or unsafe in the past. Your body may be signaling a stored protective response or an area that’s holding tension or emotion. You’re doing the right thing by starting with the techniques that feel more comfortable. Over time, as you build trust with your body, you may find these sensations shifting. Hi Dr. Truitt, I was curious if attachment and abandonment issues can be part of complex ptsd without having a dx of BPD? Thank you!🙏🏼☺️
Thank you for asking this insightful question. I'll do a video reply on this 😊❤️
