The first thing I saw in today's puzzle was THREE BODY PROBLEM. I read a book by that title a few years ago. And, I think it's also a new TV series.
“Does it have to do with fish? I don’t think so…” 😂
A skate isn't really a fish (doesn't have scales) so I said to myself "Marine animals". I thought I was close enough on that one.
@@Tiqerboy It is a type of fish - an odd looking one, but nevertheless - and it does have scales. Again, odd looking, but there they are. 😊
My grandfather was a sport fisherman, and my cousin is a marine biologist. I got the fish category first. Skates are a category of rays, perch and pike are freshwater game fish. It's interesting that as a word, fish is so overloaded, the term has no formal meaning in taxonomy. There are species we call fish that are barely related in evolutionary biology. For instance, perch and ocean perch are related only to the extent that both are vertebrates.
Never heard of a skater, thanks for all the info.
The famous Dr. Weil (check him out) recommends eating wild salmon at least once a week.

Was pretty sure of yellow, but solved 💜 first. Then, I got 💛 and 💙 , which left me confused with the 💚 category. I finally guessed correctly with fish. Foue points.
Just the purple for me, though I knew there's a fish and basketball category. Anyways, surely it's a three pointer shot and not just a three shot? This threw me off guard.
I actually got green right away. Must be all the sushi & seafood restaurants I've been to (I personally LOVE sushi), and those marine biology books I read as a kid. 😂
Not familiar with the terms FLOATER/THREE in basketball and not knowing that SKATE is a fish. I am quite good when it comes to getting two categories which are the blue/purple colors today. I am often THE ONE AWAY KING not quite getting my four categories. 😂
I have never heard of floater so that's why the basketball shots category was the last one I got. But I managed to solve it today.

Got green right off the bat. Then yellow. Used three guesses on the hair, then purple by default. I’m bald.
Fish was my first and easiest. Got all 4 within a couple of minutes.
I only found the purple category today 🙈
I was way off on the blue category, which was the 3rd one I solved (after clearing the child and fish categories). I really thought I was looking at terms related to aerodynamics. Then I said to myself "Oh yeah, those shampoo commercials". I have thinning hair and I go the hair salon every 3 months for a buzzcut so it's not like I'm thinking too much about hair style ideas

I didn't get the hair category but that was my remaining category. Got the others with ease. I know a lot of fishes and was familiar with the basketball shots besides floater (which I think is also a type of serve in volleyball?)
The only "fish" I know from the "fish" category is the SOLE! And unlike Doug, I am not a fishphobe!!
