Nice job! In only 10 minutes you get a really good feel for the big journey.😀
Thanks. Glad to hear
That pink light inside the cabin...cool🤩
Beautiful video ❤
Thank you 🤗
Hi Robert, great video. It reminded me of when I arrived @ JFK at night on Laker Airways, back in !980. -Cheers
Did you fly on a Laker DC10?
Do be honest Robert, in those days, I wasn't the airline geek as I was to become. I presume it was a DC10. I travelled so much back then & wish I had kept stuff. But I do have fond memories.@@robertmaher184
@@robertmaher184 if i’m correct, Laker was flying DC 10’s across the Atlantic from Gatwick to both Kennedy and Miami international. I live in Miami and I remember seeing the Laker DC 10 at Miami international.
Nice video - I've always found Air NZ premium economy to be very good (in fact 'for what it is' it is better than Air NZ business class - in other words NZ premium economy is a good premium economy whereas business class is an average business class by modern standards due to the old seat design/layout).
Thanks for the comment. I've never flown Air NZ business class so I can't even comment, but my mate says exactly what you are saying. Cheers
@@robertmaher184 good to know I'm not alone in my view then. I'm normally flying economy, but get a few Air NZ upgrades (and sometimes pay for better class if the deal is really sharp). Particularly for a day flight or if you can sleep sitting up, hard to beat their premium economy. I also like the Skycouch but it's not very economical booking as a solo passenger.
Would love to see Air New Zealand resume service to London Heathrow. I remember when Air New Zealand flew its DC-10 out of Miami International to London. I believe they had an agreement with National Airlines at the time before the merger with Pan Am.
Problem is that the USA does not recognize transit international since the events of 911. If you're flying to LAX or SFO & arrive when the airport is quiet, you can be through immigration and customs very quickly. But if you're flying on to London I believe you have to re-check your bags & go through security all over again.
Nice vid, thank you. Flying WLG-AKL-YVR in June in Prem Ec, can't wait. Quick question please. Why Jetstar out of CHC? Would it not have been easier (and more cost effective) on a single Air NZ ticket all the way through?
You are correct but in this case, there was a Jetstar flexi ticket that needed to be used up. Thanks and all the best for your trip in June
Love your video what day was it please
Thanks very much. Flight date was 11th Sept 2023
How very New Zealand clear blue sky in CHC & rain in AKL
Jetstar crew were very sour in my opinion
Air NZ's premium econony looked comfortable
The menu was jus ok
Cant they think of anything else other that Lamb (yuk) Chicken and Fish
I suppose other than starving I would have chosen the fish.
Great video once again thank you Robert
Happing landings ✈️
Thanks so much. Good comments!
ill go CHCH-SFO-JFK
Sounds like a great trip. Does Air NZ fly direct from CHC to SFO?
American and United start it in December
@@zf5167 I did not know that!
@@robertmaher184 both on 787-9 i think
