Good honest review. This review was just straight to the point. I have one just like it and so far it's great. I tested it with hot 10 mm ammo and no problem.
Took delivery on one a few weeks ago. Man, is it ever a sweet shooter. Rides easy in an Alien chest holster, and brings the bang big time with my handloads. A very good investment!
@@bradcraig5111 Thanks. Factory ambi safety and threaded barrel, available as part of the original purchase, probably would be more economical and more likely to be compatible.
I loved shooting 10mm in my Glock 20, such a great combo! Always drew a crowd at the range because of the not-exactly-petite report :D Definitely agree about the difference barrel length makes in this round. Always fun to meet a fellow 10'er fan!
Yesss! My P320 XTen is my first 10mm and I am loving it! I still carry 9mm for defense, but I've been wanting to hit the range and train with the XTen more!
Just bought a PDP Compact and have been looking for info and found your channel. I know Walther makes amazing firearms, I am a proud owner of a dozen Sig's (including the XTEN), some M&P's, and now a PDP. Best Red Dot for the PDP? Holsters are not the easiest to find. Any suggestions? You got yourself a new subscriber.
How is the slide to frame fit, on yours? I just picked one of these up. Ergos are amazing, trigger is great, it's accurate and quite manageable BUT..... rattly. I can actually make mine "chatter" by shaking my hand. Currently talking to Sig to see what they can do about it. Is yours like that? Side note - I don't spend time in bear country (anymore), mine is carried for its originally intended purpose 😁
@@henryofskalitz2228 NO, while that might have some movement as well, what I am talking about - is the slide wobbles on the frame. In fact, if you take the mag out, put the reticle of the optic on a target, press the trigger back to the "wall" (before it breaks) and release it...... you can watch the reticle move up and down. All BS aside, I have never seen frame to slide fitment this poor. I just bought a $300 PSA Dagger that doesn't have this much "play".
@@henryofskalitz2228 Yea, I'm gonna call them back, Monday (it has been a month or so). They had me send a video of the "play" but it couldn't really show how bad it was. I'm gonna let them know they need to look at it in person. If they still consider it "normal" (their word), I'm gonna upload a video of it so folks can understand what their "normal" is. Sig calls their AR pistol a "Rattler" when THIS is what deserved that name lol

It shoots very well, when you use good fundementals at pistol shooting, it is easy to handle, accurate, and a real pleasure to shoot. Nice fit and flexibility (soon). Having shot, other 10mm semi-auto's, this is definitely my number 1 choice. The 5" barrel, gives a very nice sight radious. I have to look, and see, I believe that 5" is optimal for 10mm
Mine has serious magazine issues. Neither mag will work in a 15+1 set up when using woods carry ammo. They both have FTFs through the first 4-5 rounds then seem to settle in. Contacted Sig, received a cut and paste response that was worthless blather about mags made to very close standards. My Glock and Springfield 10MMs are all reliable and capable of rated loading. Hopefully the aftermarket will help.
I'm having the same issue. Although had the same issue with my x5 legion until I put around 200 rounds through it. No issues since then. Hoping for the same with the x10, we'll see.
Same issue here. Gun is essentially useless as both mags are totally malfunctioning. 1)no way it works with 15 rounds. IF you can smash the 15th round in without deforming the mag lips, the slide will not pull back, or if you insert it with the slide back, it will not pull that top round off and go into battery. stops dead in it's tracks it's in there too tight. 2) loading any more than about 5-6 rounds in the mag, they all get jammed up in the lower part of the mag. you can tip it over and hit it and they all come tumbling out.
I have a Sig 10mm but it's not this, I have the p220 Legion in 10mm, might only hold 9 rounds with one in the hole but if you need more than 9 round of ten? You should likely go to your truck gun or rifle. Keep my VP9 in my waistband my Sig 10mm in my laptop bag, not mush gonna happen I cain't get outta mang!
@@dusterstilldustin The 220 is a proven 10mm design while the 320 is pretty new and I've heard mixed results from 10mm double stack striker fired in general. The fact of the matter is the 220 trigger is outstanding and is going to give you far better accuracy hands down, you may only have 9 shots compared to 16 but chances are you'll hit more with the 220 in my humble opinion. Both are great pistols though and you cannot go wrong with either.
@@dusterstilldustin I have not had on failure with ball ammo or hollow points. The 220 legion has been 100 percent reliable and a dream ti shoot the 10mm caliber out of, soaks up a lot of the recoil

Camping in bear country, that is the primary use case for this gun for me. I live and camp in NC, lots of black bears. Not hunting prehistoric prey.
I have a 4" full size PDP and also just purchased the Xten. I wish Walther would do a PDP 10mm....heaven in the hands. LOL
Would love this in their Scorpion finish!
Oh God! I wish they did!
I already bought my XTen, but I would prefer it in the Scorpion FDE-like finish than the default black.

The Sig Sauer X-ten is a solid firearm , with exceptional accuracy for a non-competition platform 👍🏾
Sounds like a guy who has shot this thing, and probably really well!!! Thanks for watching sir!
Hopefully, a model with a threaded barrel and ambidextrous safety will soon become available.
Apparently there is an aftermarket ambi safe available.

The slide rail tabs on the FCU are literally bent tabs on a stamped part. I’m amazed the slides fit as well as they do.
I have really large hands, is this the gun for me?
If it doesn't fit, try the Springfield XDM Elite.
Great video very awesome I can't wait to try mine out.

really interesting gun. it looks like recoil was not to much a factor in gaugin the sites.
Stayed till the sixth very cool……
Like #109.
I have read and heard about people that put man loads throu it will break it
Man loads need a heavier spring to handle
Is that right....not a single safety? Drop safety, snag the trigger in the field? Am I missing something
Common for striker fires to lack safeties
@@evangraham Not true. The vast majority have trigger safeties. Other actually have manual safety offerings
I'm excluding the trigger safety for this, common styles of safeties are available, but not as common as ones lack them

Same thing with the p365, you dont need a safety if youve got a good holster and arent incompetent

This doesn’t have the Tungsten infused Polymer frame like the P320 X5?
