Super cheater way buy reader at store carefullygently remove from package and use it the one time and take it right back for arefund....the scumbag cheapskate way yes....but maybe ifi itis a store you give loads of business and you don't even put a smudge on The next buyer is not only not harmed but you tested an verified it was a working scanner for them! lol maybe can justify idk....ymmv. Personally I have a garage full of tools and equipment quite a number of items I only used once or very few times....if I can save money or even break even vs paying a shop? I will usually do it and have one more tool....some were kind of a waste but others I have used many times and also helped friends and family with said tools.... Just one random example is the battery load tester I bought years ago and have used it less than half a dozen times....but it paid for itself first couple uses by verifying I still had good batteries instead of being over cautious and replacing batteries there was nothing wrong with....which let's face it many of us do such not wanting to gamble....it's called "shotgun diagnostics" where you just start replacing crap just in case
well it’s not a tool to simply remove the light… he used it to tell him which airbag had a fault. then he replaced the airbag indicated by the scanner and the light went away lol 😃
If anyone is watching this, your car has a recall look up recalled cars and put in your Vin number. My 2006 Mazda 3 has the airbag recall and it got it done for free
Thank you so much, I’m looking at buying my son a 2006 Mazda 3 from my aunt and the air bag light is on. I’m going to contact a dealership right now before I buy it.
Plugged out the cables under the seats without unplugging the battery, one of the cable under the passenger seat was loose. Plugged the cables back and the airbag light was gone.
Can you provide a link for the map sensor replacement? I have a 2016 Mazda cx-5 and the passenger weight sensor is causing my airbag light to come on. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Great presentation. I have replaced my seat airbag on 2017 Mazda 3 and has a light on. Will this tool or scanner helps to clear the light. If it is effective, I will buy one. Thks
Thanks for the video. The airbag system can't be cleared with a regular OBD 2 code reader so you have to get a top of the line scanner or an airbag reset tool. Gone are the days when you could shove stuff up under the seats for storage. I found my wife pushed her boots under there a while back and turned it on. Auto Repair Guy is right the light will turn off when you fix the problem and you don't have to delete the code if you don't want. Doesn't mean it's coming back. He had a bad seat module but it can be other things in the system like seat belt retractors, buckles, etc.
I have mazda cx-5 2023 air bags deployed and seat belts locked everything got fixed can I put back the old module and try with similar scanner to reset the codes ? If I put the old module with new replaced air bags and belts will the old module let deploy again and belts to get locked I send the module to saftey restore they told its locked they can't reset it and I read post online it's showes the module got locked cause I drove it deployed that's why so that why I am asking if I repaired all the damaged parts do I have the chance to reset everything to le t the module unlock so I can send it to reset
What exactly did you tell us in 6 minutes? The only thing you actually did was fix the issue when you weren't even filming. I'll never get that 6 minutes of my life back, waiting to see if you'd say something useful.
It is not necessary to use so expensive scanner. $100 scanner does the same job. In most old Mazda airbag light comes on when one of the airbags connectors get sust/ The simple unplug and clean the contacts works great. Jus don't forget to disconnect the battery.
They say to disconnect battery for virtually anything and everything....but seriously honestly what would happen if not? Someone should do a mythbuster style video and so all sorts of things without disconnecting the battery just to see if you can even get something to respond dangerously....like connect a new airbag and seatbelt etc without disconnecting battery....not that I would risk it I'm just saying I bet 999 times of 1000 nothing bad will happen
I have a Mazda 6, model 20016. The driver's airbag came out, and when I went to the specialized technician, he programmed it, but the airbag mark did not go away, and he says, "Why is it necessary to change the front seat? What is the solution?
Can I delete the code for the driver side air bag without replacing it? A run away shopping cart hit my fender and dented it. I replaced it but my driver side seat is still ripped. I plan to sew it together. All the other air bags work. How would I fix the problem? I just want to delete the code. I don't want to spend alot of money.
There are various ways to fool a computer into "seeing" what is supposed to be there a lot of times it is simply a resistor of a certain value it wants to see as verification in which case finding that R value on an owners group forum and placing new reistor across the circuit and viola! no more code...but here is the problem with doing THAT to get rid of a code ...say you then sell the car saying nothing then someone DIES (maybe a child) Now you might be up for manslaughter (not to mention a life of guilty agony) or whatever because you deliberately put someone in danger!!.....is it worth it to save a couple hundred bucks? You can buy used components quite a lot cheaper than brand new OEM and then it is right....idk maybe you could replace a unit and sew seat up and it would still work if you duplicated the strength of sewing? idk you would have to visit some forums...that at least sounds more reasonable especially if you at least warned buyer it has been repaired DIY....?
These companies that reset airbag module after accident /airbag deployment is that not necessary? Can I simply reset via this tool without removing and replacing or sending out for reset the airbag module? Note I realize I still have to replace beloved bag and any damaged sensors but I just mean AFTER everything deployed or damaged is replaced to I have to remove the friggin module??
So on my 2016+ MX5 if I simply replace my steering wheel/driver airbag then the air bag light will go off? But it will retain the code in system unless deleted with a code reader? Because companies are getting $6 to "reset" airbag module....is that bogus as far as simply getting airbag to function again?? I don't care if code remains in history as the car is already salvage title that will be public knowledge forever that car was wrecked
I’ve got a 2012 Mazda 3 I replaced the clockspring also with a used one from where I got the air bag from same car, could it my horn don’t work because a bad clock spring? Or something else
Hi, I have a 2016 Mazda 2 with air bag light flashing. The code is pressure air bag... Passenger seat has been replaced but the light is still flashing. What next can i do? Thanks
@@hydra2019 I assume he meant the air bag in the seat but would also make sense if he got a great deal on an entire intact seat....I mean if you can trust the seller did not simply sew it all back together and stuff or cut off deployed air bag

So what was the actual fix? Perhaps you could focus on that rather than the versatility of a $600 scanner none of us have and few will ever use.
@ 0:44 "How to reset without any tools" ... except a $600 scanner...
Exactly what I wanted to ask... 🙂
I thought you want to save us money ? We have to buy that $300.00 code reader to turn off our airbag light ? I’ll pass.

Is 500 now :( I wish it was 300 I would’ve bought it 🤣

it’s an investment. go to a shop if you don’t wanna work on it yourself
You’re the same shitbag who would say “500$??? Thats like a 200$ job at most”
If anyone is watching this, your car has a recall look up recalled cars and put in your Vin number. My 2006 Mazda 3 has the airbag recall and it got it done for free

Thank you so much, I’m looking at buying my son a 2006 Mazda 3 from my aunt and the air bag light is on. I’m going to contact a dealership right now before I buy it.

I disconnected the light on the dash so it doesn’t flash anymore - problem fixed 😁
How do I do this?

Why my mazda 6 beeps airbag just once when i start the vehicle?? 🤔🤔
Where is the switch Located for passanger airbag on a 2015 Mazda CX5?
Beginning says no tools needed, then uses tools.. scanner..

You didn’t show us anything to fix without a programmer
Let me grab my handy dandy scanner that I keep conveniently in my toolbox sold at your nearest no where for just $600! Really ??? Video sucks!
😂😂😂
My steering caution light is flashing how can I get it off I'm driving a Mazda 2 sedan 2012
No tools needed, except a $500 scanner?
Hi,
I have a 2016 Mazda 2 with air bag light flashing. The code is pressure air bag...

What next can i do?
Thanks
How much did you pay for the seat ?

Not helpful at all unless you have the code reader what costs more than to take the car to the garage.
Check this out! Worked for me!!!!

What map are you talking about
mat? pressure sensor if occupant is in seat or not?? idk I am guessing
What is PCM and TCM and how do I fix that? Mazda RX-8
TCM is transmission control module
I hate channels that post this garbage, I'll start cutting wires before I buy a $6000 scan tool that I have to renew every year.
His video was misleading
It is great you're trying to help us but you have to slow down your speech and cut out the guys every other two three words
Good
No tools needed. First thing, let me grab my scan TOOL!
Dafuq is this? You're not actually showing anything, it's just a promotion material for the scanner.
He wants to show his favorite toy
This days there are girls so called gals fixing cars cause they have 2
That so dumb. No tools?
Got itd
Kuwi piye lo carane mbah
This is without any tools ?
Bullshit !
lol unless "tools" only means hand tools and $600 scanner is a device not a "tool" Symantec s?
