Belize In Crisis | Times of Trouble

- All things must pass.
After spending 115 days on a tropical island, it was finally time to return home. As the Coronavirus was wreaking havoc throughout the world, I found myself in a country in peril. The Belize economy was crumbling, tourism had vanished in San Pedro, and my own personal health was declining due to a mystery illness. Before my plane departs, I wanted to take a moment to visit some of the most memorable friends I had made on the island, and ask them to tell us just 1 thing about Belize they want the world to know. I had such a lovely time, and met so many wonderful and kind people in Belize, so I hope these past videos have shown you how kind and amazing the people of Belize are. I'm sad to leave, but excited for the next chapter. Stay tuned for my next episode, when I show you what it's like to fly from Belize to Minnesota!

I went to San Pedro in '17 and the place stunk of piss and the couldn't even swim in the water because of this gross kind of seaweed. Placencia is WAY better.

Visit Sarteneja Village when you come back to Belize! One of the largest Fishing Village's in Mainland Belize.just an hour and a half by boat from San Pedro, on the ThunderBolt water Taxi
...oh and the rice and beans ( red kidney ) made in coconut milk is simply DIVINE and one of my all time favourite dishes and I still make it to this day ( over 40 years later after tasting this delicacy ) thank you Belize ♥️♥️♥️
Wow... the island looks so empty! I lived in Corozol for several years and left in early May to my home and family in NY. Brace yourself for US reality... besides all the unrest, virus and economic issue... I was just informed SUMMER IS OVER... ugh... I have really gotten used to perpetual summer in Belize. One thing I would tell the world about Belize is that it is the most peaceful place on the planet, due to the amazing nature and beautiful people. The street venders used to sell a kind of popadom crispy thing with pickled onion and hot peppers on top WOW delicious and the shaved ice in cones with syrup poured over when you are hot and thirsty was much better than anything you could get in Britain from an ice cream van and the carts out side the school grounds selling simple oranges cut in half was like eating natures gold

Belize is NOT in crisis. Stop being so dramatic. San Pedro was Belize's epicentre for COVID-19 cases and you didn't find it necessary to be properly wearing a mask as our laws mandated!!?Additionally, San Pedro is a town not a city.

Right a guy moved into Placencia with 50 million U.S. and is on a building binge, tourist at com I g in as all you need to enter is a docs paper of "no virus" 3 days before arrival. 51 cases of 19 yesterday for the whole country Placencia has had 4 cases in the last year and zero for months. One death and maybe another. That's it.

The government could have avoided this
Why would they want to avoid something that is eliminating the smaller businesses and increasing their corporate giants revenue by 4 fold. The big fish will always eat the little fish. People are just numbers and pawns that can be toyed with or shit canned at will. They are just eliminating the little guys so they can put a lot more money in their coffers. Those few with all the gold make the rules and you can't do squat a bout it. The super rich do not care how many lives they have to destroy in order to get more power and total control over corporate holdings. People are just something you buy and sell and pretend to care about in order to get the desired outcome. In case you forgot. This country was on the verge of economic meltdowns on numerous occasions in the past. But through the use of flooding the bankers and Wall Street with boat loads of new cash they managed to keep it afloat a little longer. This virus was engineered as a controlled crash for the inevitable economic collapse that is festering as we breathe. What better way to keep people at home so they don't start rioting, looting and give them good reason not to hang out in large packs. Lets not forget the easy money big pharma is raking in. This country has been living on credit for a long time. Now its time to pay up.

The president of the United States is promoting the virus and spreading it around the country in his unsafe rallies.
