That egg sandwich trick reminds me of a burger place I went to once that did the same sort of thing with cheese.
It was a neat way to do it.
@@Funfoods if you make sure both sides were soaked with the eggs (tricky and really fast to do it), it gives it a more French toast like consistency.

I'm not sure if that egg, ham, and cheese sandwich is a hack as I've seen that type of sandwich made by several Asian street food vendors. They have been doing this for years.
