As a UK citizen, you can stay in Vietnam for 45 days visa free. So you can do the same thing as you are saying with the 90 day visa, so leave the country after 45 days and come back to renew the 45 days. Or you can apply for the 90 day visa also.
Straight to the point, I found much more in one 6 minute video than I did days trying to get a grasp on how on earth these digital nomads were able to stay for such a long time in Vietnam😂
This is so helpful, Tyler, thanks a lot! The first time we applied for a visa, we had to queue in person at the London embassy for nearly an hour and then we had to pay cash, around £200 (!!!) for a multi entry visa, as we were going from Vietnam HCM to Cambodia Siem Reap (fabulous) and then to Hanoi.
@@BigTimeBentley, it was in 2007, so a long time ago. It was the first time we ever visited Vietnam, but have not been back since. We hope to return next year.
👍 good information 👌 I am planning to come to hanoi vietnam early next year ( Maybe sooner) If things work out the way I think they're going to ... I'll probably be there for many years ❤
Thank you for making things clear. I had questions about leaving the country every 90 days. (how long did i need to stay out of country) Sounds like I just get new visa while in Vietnam then cross the boarder and re-enter. Is it that easy? I like this better than a retirement visa for other countries that require all the financial information and certified documents. Thanks for the video.
Not going with a visa agent can be a problem. On my 2nd re-entry, they didn't approve my visa while I was still in the country. I was lucky I had a visa agent for the bus ride. I messaged them, gave them my visa application code, and they fixed it for me. Without them I would have had to come back in with the 45 days on arrival or waited 5 days outside to do a new application.
Hi . So have I understood correctly. As a uk citizen. With no degree or qualifications as I am a retired firefighter . I can remain in Vietnam for 90days , leave, re-apply for another 90day visa , leave and continue to do this throughout the year? Thanks
You didn't mention that you can not apply for another 90 day visa until you are out of the country, I tried that in Feb 24. You must leave and on the first day you can apply for the visa and wait three days till you get it and then return. I heard there are some Visa agents that can do it in a day but you must leave before they can start it!
Thanks for the video! Can you explain the exiting and re-entry process? Do you have to literally walk across the border into another show your papers to enter said country and then turn around and re-enter vietnam?
Big Time Bentley, does Vietnam have a visa for remote online workers who want to live in Vietnam for 1 year but their remote job is from their country of origin? I heard Cambodia has that kind of yearly visa for freelancers. Indonesia has it too but very expensive.
If I want to stay in VN one year or longer, how do I go about it using this 3 month tourist visa? Do I apply from within VN 5 days, 30 days, before my initial visa expires? Do I leave the country to Thailand or some other place for 1 day, 5 days, how long, and immediately apply for a new 90 day tourist visa online? How do you do it?
Sounds like you would need to leave at the end of the 90 days. Maybe stay in Thailand for five days while waiting for your new 90 day visa to be approved.
It’s so funny that I saw your video because I was about to have a agent do all my visas she charges $120 for each. I just thought that was cheap until my niece said to apply ourself. I was doubting her until you said not needing the agent and just do it yourself. Thanks for the info We’LL be in Saigon Feb for 14 days
I visited in November 2022 for 2 weeks. I applied online from San Diego. Took about 3 days and the visa for 30 days was approved. I just had to print the visa/approval letter and bring it with me. I think now they do the 90 day but it wasn't available back in 2022 as I recollect.
Is there a tax law (like in Thailand) for people who stay longer than six months a year, in Vietnam , please ? thanks for your videos and a possible answer
I have just been traveling for the past 11 months and intend to visit Da Nang in Jan 2024. Will there be any issue if I leave it blank in the occupation section? Will they ask for bank statements in the expenses section? I don't have any as I am in Malaysia at the moment thanks.
If I added more days than the period of my stay, could I have problems? The real day is from the 16th to the 21st, and I added days between the 15th and 30th of the same month as an MS Edge autofill error. Could I hv any problems?
As far as I know, as long as you enter on or after the start of the date on the visa, and leave on or before the valid until date on the visa, you should be fine. So if your visa allows you to enter on October 15 and you enter instead on October 16, you should be ok. However, if your visa says you can enter on October 16 and you try to enter on October 15, you may have problems.
In the link to apply for the Tourist Visa...they ask you to identify the agency/organization/individual one intends to contact when entering Vietnam. I am assuming that information can be left blank if you have no need to contact any of those?
