Its the problem that everyone can put their opinion and if we even slightly disagree we will see the player as a product of the fans. I hate ronaldo just because of his fans.
@furrycheetah social media has destroyed a lot, it destroyed people talking to each other face to face and allowed some people to say things to others that they would never have the spine to say to their face
Football has changed not just because of messi and Ronaldo but we don't have players like before, xavi iniesta busquets ramos Rooney Özil Ronaldinho carlos etc... players like these also played a big role in Ronaldo and Messi's careers

Yeah it’s not just because of Messi and Ronaldo. We long for players like Sanchez, hazard, Neymar who showed authenticity and electricity on the pitch that doesn’t exist anymore. I agree that pepball has mostly killed the childlike joy in modern football
These two just completely dwarf a lot of legendary things in football. Take 2014 for example. That world cup is mainly remembered because of the 7-1. But anyone who watched the 2014 final may remember Bastian Schweinsteiger‘s performance. The dude had multiple fouls and even a bleeding wound and still pushed his German team like an absolute boss til the very end. And he wasn‘t even the captain. It was the best performance I have ever seen in a world cup final. And in Germany, people still talk about it today. But outside of Germany, it is not remembered. Because Messi was on the pitch during that game. Ever since Argentina won in 2022, things like Schweinsteiger‘s performance are even more forgotten. And that is plain insulting…
Talk about neymar.. La remotada(psg comeback), 2014 ucl golden Boot, brazil's all time goal scorer and highest international assists maker in history.. 2021 copa America performance, 2020 ucl especially against bayern final(what a performance).

I personally miss the pre-Messi and Ronaldo era during the 90's and early 2000's when almost every team was full of superstar players wether be it the Premier League, La Liga or Serie A and was not just revolving on a few like Ronaldo and Messi for fame and publicity of the game. Greetings from Mars.
Messi and Ronaldo were simply TOO good, they made other players look bang average, hey if you don't know much about football, this is the channel for you, take a look and subscribe! 👍❤
Messi And Ronaldo era is the best era of all time , pre Messi And Ronaldo era is the second best . This era doesn’t have the same hype And emotions as before
The players in the 2010's especially those who played in Real Madrid and Barcelona alongside Messi and Ronaldo were the greatest to ever play the game.
I enjoyed football more with Ronaldinho and Brazilian Ronaldo. Also, the players coming up now are being taught to play as robots. Herny, Zidane, Ronaldo9, etc. were players with their own style. The biggest problem are not that we are looking at stats, the problem is we are losing players with flair, elegance and character. That being said, recency-bias will, ironically, fix this...
Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are by far my favorite living football legends, they are the reason I fell in love with football in the first place, they are part of my childhood... Henry should have won at least one or two ballon d'or in the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he was so unique and underrated back then, he was almost unstoppable and genuinely a very good all-rounder authentic player. ☯️👌✌️

The genius of these 2 won't be replicated. They've made football look bland. What many considered world class before after after these guys is completely different.

Salah is the best player on the planet right now, yet he is nowhere near Messi and CR7 at their peak. That is the level they set. When you pass puberty, you'll learn that.
Messi and Ronaldo are Millennials. The last younger generation that has old school values in them. GenZ just can’t compete and it’s not their fault. But as a millennial myself, I can only say one thing; Stay humble eh?!
Yea the same the thing was said about messi and ronaldo but the pele and maradona generation. Even from the place i live there was a saying that goes for 1000 messi theres 1 kaka. And look how the tables turned.
The thing is football today is more tactical and there is no scope for creativity. Everyone’s equally perfroming intense and i doubt if theres any scope for over performance

The fan bases of Cristiano and Messi. Especially the ones online, ruined it. Sure you can ignore it of course but it should never reach to the point you got to ignore an aspect of you something you used to care for in order for it to be at the very least, bearable. I'm sure me calling out both of the Messi and Cristiano fans will not get their little panties all in a bunch and bash this comment. Lol talking big online but if given the chance, they wouldn't say nothing in person.
Football was never meant to be so utterly dominated by a player, let alone two in the same generation. Imagine being so good that after you leave, the sport feels bland simply because no one else can recreate the magic you once could
I am personally happy this era is coming to an end. I want new ballon d'ors every year, teams playing collectively, the focus being on more than just two players etc.. They were both absolutely amazing, but I am glad it is coming to an end.
I love watching Messi & Ronaldo (I am not Argentinian or Portuguese), and you hit the nail on the head, aside from the ones you mentioned Suarez, Ibrahimovic, Cavani all got overlooked, if they would have played 15-30 years earlier they would have all won the golden ball or shoe, and now, their shadows are so large, that all these and those players you mentioned did not and will never get the recognition they deserved. I hope you are right, and everyone (especially the press) “reset” our expectations, recognizing that Messi and Ronaldo are once in a lifetime players, we are not likely to ever see players achieve those numbers again in our lifetime (maybe ever) and expecting new players to do so, will only detract from appreciating the great new generational talent we have, and also impact our love/appreciation of the beautiful game. We should give credit and recognize that there are still generational anomalies today, yes, they will not reach the seemingly unreal heights of Messi & Ronaldo, but nevertheless, there are incredible talents that should be celebrated, in short, we need to learn how to appreciate once again, by lowering our inflated expectations.
I think the main problem it's less about football today.. For many players it's almost more important to be big on social media than being great at football nowadays. Players have become a brand making millions in ads and such. back in the 90s-00s some players started to sell for ridiculously high amounts but the primary focus was still on football. Nowadays alot of ppl cheer for a player rather than a team.. we used to have legends on every position nowadays whole teams are often built around 1 diva. idk maybe im biased and nostalgic but I prefer football in the past.
@@NabirMohammed-l2u Not really there isn't much of individual brilliance in most teams except for maybe Madrid anymore but the teams, coaching and tactics overall are getting better and better.
It just makes you wonder how lucky we are to be alive to watch these two game after game. Week after week. showing such masterclass and magical experences on the field. What a ride it has been.
I am so happy I was growing up with football stars like Messi and Ronaldo! They have been pulling up the entire fan society along with them. I really loved football back then. It was amazing to see so many great players and teams who have played different styles. As a football fan you could have found a true idol among them. The style and pace of playing was also completely different. Love their era!❤
The thing about Messi and Ronaldo is that they are simply in a class/league of their own. If I were to make a tier list from S to D they wouldn’t be in any of the tiers. They are outside of that. You could say that Maradona, R9, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Rooney, Ramos etc comes close to Messi and Ronaldo, but no. They might in skill, goal scoring, elegance, importance to a team. But they don’t come close in all the categories. Messi and Ronaldo had the most goals, most assist, most fun to watch, had the longest peaks, not only longest peaks but their peaks is the best ever, most fans, made most money for their clubs, had the whole team looking up to them. In comparison to Haaland for example when you watch Messi and Ronaldo you see how their skills as footballers lead to the goals and assist. Haaland has been fun to watch because it’s unprecedented to score on almost every chance you get. But he mostly stands in the box and finishes. In school football no one liked the guy that played like that. Messi and Ronaldo could get the ball in any part of the pitch and you would never know if they would create magic and score. Longevity, a peak that lasted 10-15 years, their numbers, importance, magic and how they are the faces of football shows how everyone else needs to be held to a different standard
@michaeltrumph121 bro, this is disrespectful, no offence but you can't compare messi and Ronaldo with any other player in football other than themselves.
You could blame social media for making football not being as enjoyable anymore. If social media wasn’t as widespread, we’d appreciate the new guard almost as much as we appreciate the the old guard of the 2000s
Their era also was set up by the Ronaldinho/Zidane/Rivaldo era, maybe the most beautiful of eras and it felt like Messi and Ronaldo were the wildly perfect culmination of what had come before. They were like what we had seen in part with the great Brazilian Ronaldo, but in an era when all the pitches were perfect and players weren’t kicked to the same degree, protected more by the game. And both played for one half of the greatest derby in football. It was just perfect.
Messi didn't only score goals... people are in awe because he is also the best playmaker we've ever seen providing the most assists, opening up the pitch, enabling others. You can't put messi in a box e.g. goal scorers like Ronaldo. Its like you combine the best qualities of Ronaldo, Cruyff and a bunch of others... and even then you are short of what Messi brings to the pitch.
@@laserloui2008 There are way better playmakers, dribblers, and ball controllers than Messi. What Messi has achieved is unprecedented and wasn't expected but to downplay Ronaldo because you're a Messi fan is childish. Their Rivalry was what took them to such heights. Think about it if you so rubbish Ronaldo how then is he Messi's Rival in the first place. The things Ronaldo and Messi did and contributed to football are priceless. As a Messi fan, I get so mad when you people behave this way.
@@iknow376 I didn't downplay Ronaldo at all. I didn't even talk about him. Ronaldo is one of the best goal scorers in history.. on par with Messi. But thats it. I was pointing out that Messi is much more than a goal scorer (most assists, most dribbles, playmaker qualities, pitch iq and the list goes on). Thats why its fair to say that Messi ist a hybrid of Ronadol, Cryuff and a bunch of other legends, all combined into 1 player, hense he is the best footballer there ever was. How is that insulting towards Ronaldo? When it comes to best goal scorer in history Ronaldo & Messi are on top and sure, you can argue who is better all day long... but thats not the point.
In the olden days our attention could only be captivated by what was available on TV, but today there are niche interests. A certain RUclips content creator, a tiktok influencer or a video game could be enough to captivate you. People's attention is no longer subjected to one particular thing or whatever narrative the old media channels are pushing.
Social media is just a Messi Ronaldo propaganda machine. Not because they are overhyping them… it’s because they get implemented in every video/ short / conversation that has nothing to do with them at that moment. Like we’ve seen their goals and plays so many times it gotten so annoying. And then the players that are good for like a month the media overhypes them and then the next season the become irrelevant. It’s really annoying.
This is the first Ronaldo-Messi video I’ve ever enjoyed in my life, no comparisons just a view on how great they are. I wish you could’ve gone on for an hour, this is INCREDIBLE!!!! Please redo this video but longer, absolutely magical.
True. My dad has watched football since he was a child. He is 57 now. He said and I quote "Messi is gone, Football isn't enjoyable anymore". (I like Messi and Rono but that's what my dad said)
I think you are right, but the problem is that it hasn’t only affected the viewers, it’s affected the players. The passion when somebody scores a goal is often not there unless it’s in the highest of stakes. As well as this, tactics have often shifted away from trying to display the beauty of football, and more towards tactics which prioritise efficiency. Players today are often discouraged to show flare because it might cost them a goal, and power and raw athleticism is favoured more.
Bro 8 minutes to deliver a message that was already obvious by the title and thumbnail. If this video was 0 seconds long I would have extracted the same info out of it. And no: football is still enjoyable and when people see the ability of Mbappe, Yamal or Vinicius still gets super excited. Messi and Ronaldo are the past as Federer and Nadal but people still watches and enjoys the sports they love
First of all, no, football isn't enjoyable for a lot of people, 2nd, this is an issue, a problem, solving a problem requires a few steps, following those steps to solve this problem is what took 8 minutes. You feel me?
Look man let's not get into this lol, we both know Ronaldo is a perfect blend of speed and power, we both also know Messi is technically much better, let's just appreciate em both!
Zidane,R9,Ronaldinho, Cruyff,Pele,Maradona and Pele are also much better. Please stop calling Cr7 a goat because he is not.Hardly anyone knowledgeable considers him to be the Goat.Foitball is more than just numbers.Cr7 is just a goalscorer, nothing more
Tell me you have only watched footbal for the last 5 or 6 years without telling me you have only watched football for the last 5 or 6 years. Is that why Messi needed so much shady favoritism from FIFA? Favoritism which is basically a consensus within the entire football community.. This video is trying to celebrate both, try not to come off as ignorant
These 2 will be All time Greats for more than just decades and we as the fans of Football ended up forgetting that we really are fans of Football n not just Messi and Ronaldo fans,, we all forgot that we also still have other talents to appreciate n appraise ,the 2010s stars were mainly ignored just for the existence of Ronaldo n Messi .. quite sad tho
That's not true at all, messi ain't about numbers at all, messi was just pure football the numbers was just the cherry on top he did everything so perfectly and elegantly people started expecting that performance from other players, not the scoring only
ronaldo aint all about the numbers too, before 2014 that is, i mean no one looked at ronaldo before 2014 as a pure goalscorer or a stat merchant. he was a very good dribbler
@YousufAhmed-cg3qh yes he was a decent dribbler at united, moved to Madrid and became obsessed with Messi. He realised Messi was head and shoulders above him, and knew that goals was the only area he could ever be compared to Messi, and became a stat padder of the highest order. What football were you ronaldo fans watching to even think that both are capable of the same thing? ronaldo would've been injured for life if he tried some of the things Messi did on the football pitch.. You people are insane man.
@@charleyblack6796 ronaldo was capable, and even some cases he went toe to toe with messi, besides cr7 became a striker not because hes obsessed with messi but because he knew thats where his other strength lies, football is changing, thats why messi changed from a free- roaming role to a playmaking midfielder later his career, one day you'll understand kid
I always have that conversation with my friends. Messi & Ronaldo spoiled us. Note that all of my friends and myself are 30, most of us started watching around 2004-05. We really watched them through most of our lives. Childhood, teenage and adulthood.
Messi is the only player that has ever made me doubt my eyesight. Too many times, he does things that make zero sense as you watch. CR7 was great, too, but Messi will be impossible to replicate imo.
There have been players like messi and ronaldo thoughout history, with similar styles and characteristics. Ronaldo and Messi just bumped up the efficiency of their respective styles to ridiculous degrees. Its not even close to unthinkable for new players to come up and replicate their styles and even careers. Its not likely, but its not impossible at all. Learn a bit more about football.
That's why 90% of fans who love watching football are also turning dumber by the minute. I'm way more satisfied with Pablo Gavi, Jordi Alba, Nacho Fernandez, Sergio Ramos, Erling Haaland, Casemiro, Luka Modric than just CR7 and Pessi!
Ronaldo and Messi are Epic Players Great Game changers and Goats of the Game I agree they have Raised the Standard so high that no one will ever Replicate it again That's because what they did is So Extraordinary Ronaldo known for His Strength, Skills, Speed, Height, Stelt, Power in the Air, Goals, Creativity and Quick Passes Messi Known his Dribbling, Quick Feet, Low Center of Gravity which makes him Glide pass Defenders easily, Skill, Speed, Playmaking, Goalscoring and Endurance They are indeed the Goats of Football
Really great stuff man. I love it when smaller channels make content this good! Just keep doing what you are doing and you definitely got a new follower!
To think that goals were their only contributions to football, show me that you are leaving out their style of play, Messi's goals were only one part of the game. Ask Zidane, who mentioned a connection with Messi, knowing what he intended to do, Renaldo also turned into a more complete player as he got older. Do you think their teams asked them to slow down their goal scoring, I hear the pundits of the primere League talking about the many wonderful players playing in their leagues, they Messi and Ronaldo were something special, but now it's coming to an end, every sport has it's once in a lifetime talent, formula one, basketball tennis it happens then you have to move on until one day it happens again, enjoy your sport, anomalies happen in life everyday somewhere at someplace, just sit back and enjoy your favorite sports, because things change everyday, it will pass but talent goes on and on.
Also insane the way ronaldo dominated individually in top 3 leagues which is EPL, la liga and serie a, nobody else could do it like that, such players don't exist anymore
I believe the existence of Social Media and this GOAT talks being pass around everytime makes it hard to recognize other talents. Some may goes around, hey this player is doing great this season, he might be the best player I've ever seen. Then some guy will reply, hell no, he is nothing to Messi or Ronaldo. Everytime, some talents were to achieve something, to show great performance, there would always be that random guy bringing Messi or Ronaldo in the conversation.
Maybe you’re slow or maybe just stupid but when you raise the standard too high it makes other players seem uninteresting to watch because they’re being held to an unattainable standard
How is it 'unatainanble' whenit has clearly been attained?? Why are so many of you so insistant of accepting average performance and not wanting to see greatness spring up and humanity follow after greatness?? Footballers MUST rise and stop being average. Messi and Ronaldo exposed that many footballers are just average and people are crying about that. Its like many of you fear those who perform in superhuman ways and you don't want to see what is beyond that which you know and have seen before.
Actually Ronaldo fans spoiled everything. Their debate lies solely on goals. Imagine using goals to compare Vini and Rodri. Football is just a beautiful game but everything else must be centred around goals in their opinion. A player can be MVP without even stacking up goals and assists. But Ronaldo fans will call it rigged because it definitely must be goals and assists
I think because new gen fans are also not understanding or appreciating the work rate of some positions such CDM most demanding work effort yet rarely noticed by fans nowadays..
Stats are only a quarter of a picture when it comes to football. For instance I present the great Emile Heskey. 60 odd appearances for England and what, 4 goals? But every striker that played alongside him was better for it. He did the donkey work that created the space for Owen. Especially when Owen’s legs were gone. You could take a keeper at the bottom of the league. He might be world class, but his defence is utter shit and constantly leaves him exposed. Look at the stats though and it doesn’t tell the story. The only stat that matters at the end of the game is the score.
They didn't ruin the sport because they were too good. They ruined the sport because they went on to a bad league and advocated for it. eventually taking players who still had potential in europe. ronaldo is mainly at fault, he talks that the football is good, but in reality the money is good the football isn't. I say this as a ronaldo fan, its sad to see some great players leave europe just because of the influence
Few years ago everyone loved Mbappe, now at least half fans violently criticize him when he doesn't play well. "But he never scored in CL semifinals, but he always played in Ligue 1, but he plays badly at Euros, but..." They can't appreciate his talent anymore, they are obsessed with what he missed. I would not be surprised if it happens the same with Yamal. Now everyone praise him, but I'm sure that with years passing, if he doesn't mantain every high expectation, it will happen the same thing
Because it was Neymar brilliance who used to provide with him assists.. He is flop at madrid because he always want genius like messi and ney to assist him.. Alone he is just a poacher
@@ShivanshJain-si6og I disagree at all, if you say this, It means you underrate what he did at Monaco and with France National team, especially at world cups

As a new football fan i definitely see this everywhere. When mbappe recently switched to real madrid everyone was expecting prime ronaldo numbers which obviously isn't possible. Everyone was calling hin a disappointment but for what?? He's playing mostly off his favorite position and he's getting used to a completly new team of course he isn't gonna preform amazing and even then he's doing really nicely considering the higher level of leagues he entered.
i think the issue is that even if people shouldnt expect Ronaldo level numbers... he is far from it to begin with. Ronaldo scored 1 goal per match in his first season at RM with a butload of assists. Mbappe isnt even close to those numbers. Dont forget that Mbappe egged RM on for years with the "Im going.. im not going" charade. People had major expectations and its partially his fault.
Not just Football, another example is Chess Magnus Carlsen is arguably the greatest player to ever live, he achieved a peak rating of 2882 twice (which is very similar to how they rank National teams), for reference everyone out of the 15 players that even reached 2800 dropped off eventually except Magnus, he remained 2800+ for like almost a decade and half now. He is a 17-time world champion across different time controls of chess (speed chess, slow chess...), he reminds me of Messi how he was good at literally everything. He set the bar so high that World Championship matches aren't even that high level anymore, and even young talents that are super insane exist behind the shadow of Magnus's greatness.
Also Tennis is kinda like this. The big 3 that came last 20 years. All of them broke so many records that it will take generations until somebody becomes better.
Exactly! its like Usain Bolt set such an impossibly high standard that anyone running after him almost seems slower by comparison, even if they're incredible athletes in their own right. His dominance, charisma, and effortless style on the track have made him the ultimate benchmark. People will always say, “Yeah, but he's no Bolt,” because his legacy is just that untouchable. A true GOAT
3:20 yes fans debate that Robert isn't on the same level of Messi or Ronaldo cuz he just isn't. Ask Robert about it and I guarantee you that his answer would be same. Nobody is doubting his greatness. He is a legend of the game. But Messi and Cristiano are all time greats
I think this is simply what defines this era. Like you said, football was never about individual performance but so much more. However, we lived through a period defined by that because we had the 2 best individual players of all time playing at the same time and were consistently better than everyone and every team around them. Football will go back to how it was because there is no way we will see players like Messi or Ronaldo for a very long time and therefore teams and groups of players will stand out beyond just individuals. Its unfortunate that for the next few years players will be defined by what made those 2 great but isn't that to be expected? The world has celebrated their brilliance because it was truly incredible to watch, not just the numbers but their ability with a football was magnificent to see for 2 decades. I do miss seeing players stand out for their brilliance at certain parts of the game but theres a reason why Ronaldo and Messi are considered the goats and it isn't because of recency bias.
Not a fan of any but I like to watch Ronaldo more than messi because Ronaldo looks like he does a lot of hard work to score a goal whereas messi is like gifted .. he scores goals like it’s nothing ( not saying that there’s no hard work ). Don’t know who’s better but always love watching Ronaldo play.
Nowadays players with 20+ goals a season feels like they had a good season But to Ronaldo and messi era it's a bad season 😅 Ronaldo worst season at real Madrid was 33goals like WTF... 33 is too much even vini will be happy to score such amount... But Ronaldo called it a bad season 😅 They came and made history for themselves and football will never remain the same ❤
Two different types of players. Vini isn't a goal scorer he's a winger Cr7 used to be a goal scoring winger, like Mbappe. I know Mbappe is bad this season but it's better not to compare vini to cr7
There are many layers to it, but I 'd wager that Real Madrid, Barca & La Liga are more to blame. Why? First, at the time the rivalry started, Spain had the most football talent of any country, most Latin American footballers had Spain as their preferred destination. As set up, Real and Barca each controlled more TV revenue than the rest of La Liga teams put together. This meant that Real & Barca had access to the very best talent in the world. The two could also out bid any other team other than Man City & PSG. The second problem is how the 2 teams decided to deploy their talent. Rather than playing in a balanced way where goals were to be expected from a variety of players, they set up the teams to play like water carriers for the two. Both teams had competent penalty & free kick takers but they had to forfeit all those chances to Cristiano & Messi. There was a particular time when a Real player took a chance & scored when Cristiano was in a position to, Cristiano threw a tantrum for being denied the opportunity. The league played their bit by giving away far too many dodgy penalties & free kicks to the 3 teams. Finally, the international federations also played like fan boys by behaving like there were no other players of winning the top prize. Over that period there were years when Iniesta, Ribery & Neuer were far more deserving but the Cristiano vs Messi rivalry had to be stoked. This on its own brought a sense of entitlement that we saw in 2024 when Real threw a hissy fit when they learnt that Vinicius is not winnings the Ballon d'Or. My observation? They most definitely ruined football.
Barca played as a team whereas Madrid played for ronaldo.. The difference is that when you have Messi on your team, you give him the ball and watch him do his thing.
@@charleyblack6796 Not entirely true, when Messi started at Barca it was all within the flow of the game. However, Messi joined Ronaldo in the stat padding game too....Messi wasn't the free kick/penalty taker at the start but he started taking them regularly to pad his stats. Let's also not forget that Messi went to Pep & told him that it's either him (Messi) or Ibra....Ibra had to leave, why?
They both normalised 30+ goal Golden Boot worthy seasons year after year. Those are god-like numbers, barely matched by the best strikers of this generation in their peak season. Ronaldo's power and Messi's finesse were a delight to witness, especially watching them clash on Clasicos. One as decisive as the other, Ronaldo is the player you want in an important match but Messi will drag your team through the different stages leading to that match. 91 goals in a year is mental. 17 goals in an UCL campaign is mental. 14 combined Ballon d'Ors is mental. 78 combined titles is mental. The best football era. Highly unlikely we see something as impressive in our lifetime. We are truly privileged.
There wont be a better striker in the next 100 years than ronaldo, but Messi just is the most complete you can get. Dribbling unmatched passing unmatched paired with his vision and left foot is just out of this world
Lionel Messi destroyed football. We called his style back in the day Goal-hanging. Granted, he does have vision when distributing the ball, he's not known for long distance strikes with power and accuracy. He side foots and places the ball 99.9% of the time. It's weak, and kids mimic this.
Messi and Cristiano aren't on the same level. As much as i respect Ronny, Messi is so so so much better. The only time Ronaldo came somewhat close was in 2008. From a former Real Madrid admirer that started watching fc Barcelona because of Ronaldinho and fell in love with football because of Messi.
We don't see stepovers all the fancy moves of ronaldo and we don't see the insane mind , game changer like messi anymore.. we're just waiting for there retirements ..after that football will be over
Sorry I was with you until the Neymar stuff - he IS a disappointment 😆 can't blame his failure on CR7 and Messi. At least the other players you mentioned(like lewandowski) were still performing and in good form. Whenever anyone mentions Neymar there are two things that pop in my head: party and injury
You're right you're right, but Neymar at barca was a great player no doubt, going to PSG to "escape messi's shadow" was just the downfall for him, hence, a disappointment for sure
To me it's diving and injury 😂. I even speculate(and maybe the media helps with all those controversies nowadays) that he intentionally injures himself(maybe even fakes it in some way) just to be able to go to those parties and birthdays.
To be honest, it's none of their fault or other players'faults either. Messi and Ronaldo were two exceptional players, proving that working extremely hard and focusing on your goals would get you to the top! If they could do it, others can do it too, but others are more focused on their image, followers, social media and put less effort into advancing their skills. Why isn't it fair to work hard and be better than others? Come on now, you can't be serious! Ronaldo is well known about how serious he is about his health and workout, it's not that someone else can't do
Anyone puts Ronaldo in comparison with messi is delusional, sure Ronaldo is one of the greatest football scorers of all time but thats it thats all of his game but on the other hand messi is on top of everything, hes by far the best dribbler, the best free kick player the best score with man of the match the best scorer scoring more than 850 goals with less than 200 games than Ronaldo, 8 ballon dor, 6 golden shoes, 3 fifa the best and 46 world titles the top ever with greatest trophy the world cup. I can explain more and more about how messi is light years ahead of Ronaldo and everybody else so don’t just put Ronaldo in the conversation of the greatest of all time coz that title worthy of messi and messi alone.
Having speed, power, accuracy, being able to score with your right left and head is something Messi could only dream of, I'm not suggesting Ronaldo's better or anything but he's different from Messi and there won't be anyone like them again
You are a delusional Football fan So A Guy with the Most Assists in UCL, Euros and Nations league History Is only a Scorer A Guy with the Most Dribbles in a Single game is only A Scorer A Guy with the Most Chances Created in Euros History is only a Scorer Use your brain for once
I can also explain Why Ronaldo is miles better than Messi as a player He Won Back to Back Trophies and players of the Season in Different Leagues and teams He won Back to Back player of the season for Club and League in the 3 Biggest Leagues in Europe While Messi outside Barcelona was Getting Dominated by Young Mbappe Ronaldo won a UCL outside Real Madrid Messi won Zero UCL after Xavi and iniesta left Barcelona Ronaldo won 3 UCL in 3 years Messi won 3 UCL in 17 years Ronaldo has never used his Massive PR, Football Aesthetics and public image to Rob players of their Hard-earned Awards unlike Messi He prefer using his Work to Win Awards not his image Imagine winning 2 FIFA the best with one world cup 🤮🤮🤮 Aside Barcelona, FIFA, Robbing and Steroids Messi is absolutely nothing
Messi and Ronaldo didn't ruin football. They were the last and greatest of the old game when athletic ability wasn't the most important attribute a player could have. In a way Messi was the purist form and Ronaldo a piece of things to come.

Great video. But it's not over for Messi and Ronaldo, they will still be in management or ownerships. And then maybe there kids can continue to break them records. Please 📌 me
Yes we have all been spoiled rotten by those two, also there now seems to be too many games per week with different cups and euros etc it doesn't quite feel the same as years gone by. If Messi goes into management but isn't successful, it would tarnish his name. I hope he stays away from management. Also Ronaldo was never quite as good as Messi, Messi had much better overall play on top of the goal numbers.
@@sweeneysbarbershopacademys6244 Ronaldo maybe, but Messi, idk, hell i would be surprised if he even took a coaching role for the u9s anywhere, He may contribute to the football world when he retires, but to do so as a coach is very unlikely
I believe this is a trend that is affecting various sports. It’s no longer enough to achieve success just once; athletes must continually win, consistently outperform their competition, and maintain excellence over time. We see this phenomenon in sports like football, NFL, basketball, Formula 1, golf, tennis, baseball, and the 100-meter sprint. Legendary athletes such as Messi and Ronaldo in football, Tom Brady in the NFL, LeBron James and Stephen Curry in basketball, Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher in F1, Tiger Woods in golf, and the trio of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic in tennis, along with Serena Williams and Usain Bolt, have not only excelled but have also set exceptionally high standards. This relentless pursuit of greatness seems to spoil fans, as they come to expect extraordinary performances consistently across these sports. The same principle applies to movies and any other area that has a dedicated fan base.
In some ways football has deteriorated because the top teams have got better. With some exceptions virtually all the trophies are won by a handful of teams whereas in the past there was a much wider spread of winners. In the UK the first division winners came from a fairly wide range of teams. Now there is the very occasional dark horse like Leicester but it’s down to a few candidates. Even the best teams lost games and you were happy when your team won. Now is more a relief when they don’t lose because even a few losses in a season can be fatal.
I never watched football regularly. But even I, as someone who never had much interest in it, can understand that thought. In the last few months I started watching a few games and I must say I had fun, especially for example the Barcelona games. I don't know why but I like to see young players being creative and trying to develop their own identity on the pitch. But comparing them to, as you said, anomalies that won't be achieved in the next (I don't know) 20+ years is just ridiculous. So as a "new" fan of the sport I can only say I'm having fun, even though I probably missed the best time of football. But hey, as long as someone is having fun with the sport I don't care. But still an interesting video👍
*I don't like what football has become today. They have changed the look and feel of football. Great stadiums like Real Madrid's Bernabeu stadium have turned into indoor arenas. They play with the roof closed. What's cool about playing football with a roof? This is not indoor football. Football is an outdoor sport and is supposed to be played outdoors. Football stadiums are outdoor arenas. Now all new stadiums are now semi-indoor or fully indoor arenas. You want to play football out in the fresh air. You need maximum oxygen to perform.* Then there's VAR. Every contact is awarded a penalty. Football is a contact sport. Contact is allowed to happen and will happen. Anytime a player gets contact they go down on purpose or easily to get a penalty. They also wait for contact to be made or move their body towards the opponent to make contact on purpose. VAR don't even look to see if the player is going down on purpose, easily or trying to make contact on purpose. They make their decision based on replays in slow motion. Slow motion makes it look worse than it actually was. We don't live in a slow motion world. Reality is not in slow motion. They should make their final decision watching the replay back at normal speed after looking at the incident in slow motion. Most penalties should not be awarded because the players go down on purpose. It's already clear in slow motion and even more clear at normal speed. Normal speed shows the reality. Then there are other things like all new stadium the fans are further away from the pitch. The atmosphere was better when the fans are as close to the pitch as possible. Other strange rules like Yellow card for taking your shirt off. Yellow card for touching the fans to celebrate. Also the match balls have become inferior. Traditional 32 panel balls preformed the best. They go where you want them to go. It's not fair today's players are playing with balls that have weird panel shapes that perform less. That's why we had better football in the past and amazing stylish players with their own unique style like Ronaldinho, Zidane, Beckham, R9 etc. because they were using 32 panel balls. The look and feel of football has become worse.
Someone needs to put those two in one team . At least for a charity match. We want to see them together for the first and last time .
So true!! This is literally every football fan's wish
I'd never watch football again if that happens (which never happens)

I enjoyed football more with Ronaldinho and Brazilian Ronaldo. Also, the players coming up now are being taught to play as robots. Herny, Zidane, Ronaldo9, etc. were players with their own style. The biggest problem are not that we are looking at stats, the problem is we are losing players with flair, elegance and character.
That being said, recency-bias will, ironically, fix this...

Football was never meant to be so utterly dominated by a player, let alone two in the same generation. Imagine being so good that after you leave, the sport feels bland simply because no one else can recreate the magic you once could
Those two were having 40+ goals in league games alone, and still losing the golden boot to the other. Unreal.

Longevity, a peak that lasted 10-15 years, their numbers, importance, magic and how they are the faces of football shows how everyone else needs to be held to a different standard

the reason why messi and ronaldo shined is because 2010's was weak compared to 2000's.

I think you are right, but the problem is that it hasn’t only affected the viewers, it’s affected the players. Rubbish. Maradona, Pele and Cruyff,Zidane,R9,R10,Romario
Let's not call him pessi, guy deserves some respect 😭🙏
@@real.footballhd Yeah, hey that was a typo error. My bad! Cool for calling me out on that.
Ronaldo and Messi are Epic Players
Great Game changers and Goats of the Game
I agree they have Raised the Standard so high that no one will ever Replicate it again
That's because what they did is So Extraordinary
Ronaldo known for His Strength, Skills, Speed, Height, Stelt, Power in the Air, Goals, Creativity and Quick Passes
Messi Known his Dribbling, Quick Feet, Low Center of Gravity which makes him Glide pass Defenders easily, Skill, Speed, Playmaking, Goalscoring and Endurance
They are indeed the Goats of Football

Thank you so much mate! Your subscription means a LOT to me!
Damn.
Also insane the way ronaldo dominated individually in top 3 leagues which is EPL, la liga and serie a, nobody else could do it like that, such players don't exist anymore
Football is only enjoyable when people are themselves playing the game at their local park, instead of just watching the game on TV or Internet.
They did not spoil football, they raised its standard.
Same thing no? They spoiled us
exactly. its not their fault the new players want to have their cake and eat it too.
@@kingsolomon_fitness Oh WORD!?

Actually Ronaldo fans spoiled everything.
Their debate lies solely on goals.
Imagine using goals to compare Vini and Rodri.
Football is just a beautiful game but everything else must be centred around goals in their opinion.
A player can be MVP without even stacking up goals and assists.
But Ronaldo fans will call it rigged because it definitely must be goals and assists
True
Exactly coz that's their only argument. They know other than scoring goals, ronaldo can't do what Messi does on the football pitch.
Messi fans started this G/A nonsense
Y'all said Vini didn't deserve the balon dor cause of his numbers n all the trophies he won more than rodri
I think because new gen fans are also not understanding or appreciating the work rate of some positions such CDM most demanding work effort yet rarely noticed by fans nowadays..
Statistics ruined football.
True
These guys are the reasons why stats became commonplace
Remember, players who don't have the greatest statistics are considered as "overrated".
That's a great point! Never thought of it that way
0:29, it's MESSIIIIIIIII...and then RONALDOOOOOO
Haha I hope you enjoyed it!
@ I did, well done
Start respecting ney until he is gone
@@ShivanshJain-si6og I disagree at all, if you say this, It means you underrate what he did at Monaco and with France National team, especially at world cups
@@simonelongato6470 at world Cups? 2018 was so goated team with out him also they would have won wc, meanwhile Brazil depends on ney.. In2022 ngl he played well but we all know his final was only good (that too two penalties) and before 62nd minute bro was literally ghosting
Exactly the point! Standards are at an all time high!
i think the issue is that even if people shouldnt expect Ronaldo level numbers... he is far from it to begin with.
Ronaldo scored 1 goal per match in his first season at RM with a butload of assists. Mbappe isnt even close to those numbers.
Dont forget that Mbappe egged RM on for years with the "Im going.. im not going" charade. People had major expectations and its partially his fault.
What a beautiful and insightful thought. Great Video ❣
Not just Football, another example is Chess
Magnus Carlsen is arguably the greatest player to ever live, he achieved a peak rating of 2882 twice (which is very similar to how they rank National teams), for reference everyone out of the 15 players that even reached 2800 dropped off eventually except Magnus, he remained 2800+ for like almost a decade and half now.
Great reference!
You might lack in views or subs, but your content is Excellent. Inshallah you will do well🙌
Thank you, in sha Allah I will!
Sure, messi looks more gifted thats why i like messi more. Ronaldo looks stiff to me
Nowadays players with 20+ goals a season feels like they had a good season
But to Ronaldo and messi era it's a bad season 😅
Ronaldo worst season at real Madrid was 33goals like WTF... 33 is too much even vini will be happy to score such amount... But Ronaldo called it a bad season 😅
They came and made history for themselves and football will never remain the same ❤
So true man! Hope you enjoyed and subscribed ❤
Two different types of players. Vini isn't a goal scorer he's a winger Cr7 used to be a goal scoring winger, like Mbappe. I know Mbappe is bad this season but it's better not to compare vini to cr7
The problem is this 2 goat are in the same era and push each other to the extreme that they set the bar so high for other rivals.
That's a great take! Thank you for your opinion!
@@edowino I've wasted my time already by responding to your clueless frame, but I won't again coz you're just talking rubbish.
@@charleyblack6796 What makes you think the feeling is not mutual?
Dribbling unmatched passing unmatched paired with his vision and left foot is just out of this world
I think cr7 is the"most complete" whereas messi is the best
@@254_Caliber nah thats just stupid tbh
There will never be another Ronaldo. Nowadays I see players with Messi-esque playing style like Cole Palmer, Yamal e.t.c. but none like CR7.
Ronaldo is not a striker. Jesus Christ

Naymar, Ronaldinho, Dany Alves, David Silva. all suffered from overentertainment.
@@real.footballhd for sure; neymar at barca was phenomenal
You are a delusional Football fan
So A Guy with the Most Assists in UCL, Euros and Nations league History Is only a Scorer
A Guy with the Most Dribbles in a Single game is only A Scorer
A Guy with the Most Chances Created in Euros History is only a Scorer
Use your brain for once
I can also explain Why Ronaldo is miles better than Messi as a player
He Won Back to Back Trophies and players of the Season in Different Leagues and teams
He won Back to Back player of the season for Club and League in the 3 Biggest Leagues in Europe
While Messi outside Barcelona was Getting Dominated by Young Mbappe
Ronaldo won a UCL outside Real Madrid
Messi won Zero UCL after Xavi and iniesta left Barcelona
Ronaldo won 3 UCL in 3 years
Messi won 3 UCL in 17 years
Ronaldo has never used his Massive PR, Football Aesthetics and public image to Rob players of their Hard-earned Awards unlike Messi
He prefer using his Work to Win Awards not his image
Imagine winning 2 FIFA the best with one world cup
🤮🤮🤮
Aside Barcelona, FIFA, Robbing and Steroids
Messi is absolutely nothing

Well hey it's two different perspectives, both are correct in their own way
Messi and Ronaldo didn't ruin football. They were the last and greatest of the old game when athletic ability wasn't the most important attribute a player could have. In a way Messi was the purist form and Ronaldo a piece of things to come.
One thing that will be misled in future is that Messi and Ronaldo's goals were really ordinary and were easy to score.

Greatest video on RUclips.. share this video to soccer fans as quickly as possible

Their numbers will never be eclipsed for both of them to average 50-60 goals a season will be unmatched
Exactly! Exceptional stats.
Thank you for your take! Let's hope football reaches newer heights for the better.
What changed football is that they no longer play for entertainment or passion it's now as business
Messi is the complete player. Nobody else today is like that. He's not a selfish player, yet his goal scoring numbers are staggering.
This is a top tier video, keep it up.

@real.footballhd most definitely
You need maximum oxygen to perform.*
Then there's VAR.
Great explanation mate. Couldn't have said it better myself!
