It’s sad but there’s no main sponsor, limited budget and it’s hard to promote a race like this that doesn’t really have an identity. It might be the last edition or close to it of the ToB. Also I don’t think the UCI or ASO were too impressed by the race being cancelled last year for the Queen, so they didn’t win many friends with the clout to help them out there
ha yeah, stage 7 finally broke that up a bit with now 2nd-11th on +3, 12th (Nils Politt) on +9, 13th-35th on +39, 36th & 37th on +58, 38th on +59 w/ +20 penalty, 39th on 1:12, 40th on 1:23 & 41st on 2:12, then it's from +3:43 for Connor Swift in 42nd back to +Jos van Emden in 86th on +38:38 (with probably no sponsor money available to award him the ToB equivalent of the Lantern Rouge, no doubt). Caerphilly is looking like a decent stage to finish on tomorrow, though sadly I'm gonna be out of the house at the footy so can't watch live.
The team Saint Piran is actually pronounced San Peeran. They are actually quite particular about the pronunciation, so thought I'd point this out so everyone knows the correct pronunciation. As I say I believe they are a bit prickly about the pronunciation, so do say it as San Peeran. Keeps them happy.
Sheesh....it's like the organisers are trying to kill off the event. What fool thinks that 6 flat stages in a row is a good idea? This is like watching a local club's Sunday club ride, over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.
I prefer the more traditional presentation where you show the stage results then show the GC list. I was confused by not seeing the former. If I may ask for more, I would have liked to see more of the overhead finish. I was wondering at what point WvA lost Kooij.
Next year let’s have a big summit finish. I’m thinking winnats pass or hellfire pass in Wales or both. Oh and try to get pogocar and van der poel in the race as well.
This ToB is turning out to be the tour of Sunday cycling club runs. Poorly planned, when there is so much interesting and challenging parkour the country can offer. Still what do we expect of broken Britain with skint local authorities.
doesn't appear to be one, well not according to their website results page, as the rankings tab has these sub-tabs for each stage & aggregated classification: INDIVIDUAL POINTS KOM YOUNG BRITISH TEAM Might have been one that one of the former sponsors would cover in previous years but now they can't afford to so have trimmed down
He's bad. Bora is going with Van Poppel now who immediately gets better results. It's harsh but i doubt there is much more to it. Well maybe Bora is less generous to him now that he is leaving aswell.
They don't even show the actual sprint??? What's the point of making a summary like this?
I don't think the British Cameramen/Motards know 'how to' bring that to an audience. I mean... how would they?
Should be renamed Sprints of Britain. What the hell were the organisers thinking with this years route?
I think really boring maybe sums it up
Mate, I live in West Yorkshire and my commute in to work is more challenging.
Zero budget… that’s why 😢 sad to see, and nobody wants a cycling race interrupting their commute

Bore of Britain?
The number I had trouble finding: only 52 riders are tied for second place at 3 seconds back. No change today.
This means it's still ANYONE'S race!😁😁😁

With so many great climbs in so many different parts of the UK, why on earth are they doing stage after stage on the flat?
Lol everyday it's the same: TDT-Unibet attacking early and eventually the stage ends in a mass sprint....
What‘s the sense of winning a stage in a sprint if there are no bonus seconds to earn?
I'm looking forward to the Cotswold Mountains.
Why is it held at the same time as the Vuelta? Seems poorly scheduled.

🫠Finally a breakaway that has a snowball’s chance…and THREE flat tires?!?!?!
Dont like cyclist round them parts, dont pay any road tax
Thats why they moved ride London north

It's a Tour of We Have To Do Everything Our Own Way Even If It Doesn't Make Sense 99% Of The Time, what else were you expecting?

"The last flat stage"? Hoo-effing-ray!
Next year let’s have a big summit finish. I’m thinking winnats pass or hellfire pass in Wales or both. Oh and try to get pogocar and van der poel in the race as well.
Winnats pass would be a great finish..
Hey the first ten riders don’t have THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY???

Nice to see Magnus Sheffield finish 12th. I assume he was part of the lead-out for Pidcock.
Like a club ride around suburbia. Utterly dull.
Danny van Poppel must have thought it was a mistake that he won ...
Dear Tour: How can we find the daily 'Combativity Award' winner? Where is that info? Thx!

What’s happened to Sam Bennett?

So boring!
😴😴😴.
Awful tour. Could be a really tough tour but Britain isn’t really a cycling nation compared to those in Europe
