    I just realized that when Ms. Baker saw clarence riding his bike into the woods. She was changing the tire to a truck that belonged to a man who looked really pissed off. She was wearing a pretty dress that implies that she was on a date with him and he was making her change the tire in the rain while he was seething in the vehicle all nice and dry. She is very sympathetic and helps her students make better choices but cant better herself when it comes to her bad taste in men, which explains the dark circles under her eyes in a lot of episodes. I'd like to see a breakdown video on Ms. Baker soon.

    • @kingcamelot1395
      @kingcamelot1395 13 дней назад +214

      I won't discredit Baker completely. Remember the whole "Turtle Hats" episode. That happened because a person she was texting had their original text "Totally Hot" auto corrected. And then, it's revealed that he wasn't even talking to her, and texted her by accident. You know how she responds to that? Blocking his number.
      Seems to me that is a mature way to handle that situation. So yeah, her taste in men may be terrible, but she's not afraid to break it off once the signs are made clear.

      @kingcamelot1395 I remember that episode. That's very true. I agree with you that she does have boundaries. I just don't understand why she would change that man's tire in the pouring rain. Sometimes, I believe she is too kind-hearted. I love her character, though.

      Maybe he has an allergy to water.

    The ending of the episode was actually sad but also sweet, the episode takes a deep dive into depression and how neglectance and not talking to anyone just makes things worse and it causes you to do all these bad things you would have never done. Its not everything. He just felt bad and got punished for feeling bad, he didn't thought that he still in punishment, rather he was upset that not a single person liked his doll. This episode definitely has a deep meaning, but given the nature of the show it couldn't be expressed that well. Even author of this video didnt took it seriously which sucks cuz themes in this episode are familiar to people who felt similarly

      in the end and center, Clarence just cannot comprehend his own actions, much more of his own stupidity. Though, I guess some of that came from his mom molding her hidden hatred of her jerk of a husband walking out on them, hence why she's dating a gorilla of a man but at least he's aware and better "gasp" CARES for Clarence's well being!

    Catexia (idk how the fck is it called in English) is a defense mechanism where an object or subject has a deep emotional impact and relation in someone, Catexia can go in two ways, he either hates the relationship he had or he tries to replace the emotional side he had originally with something else.
    To overcome this feeling is to accept the fact that the connection is over and can't be replaced or forgotten. In this situation he repressed both emotions and fell in an even deeper depression (or that's what I just learned)

    I think the idea here, or rather a part of it, is that Clarance believed his playful and energetic attitude got him in trouble, which then led to him destroying the doll. So then he refused to show any emotion. Which then also got him in trouble. But speaking up while being punished, to his understanding, was an absolute rule. So he just refuses to speak. He was stuck in perpetual punishment for something he could not control.
    As a kid with autism, I acted a similar way sometimes.

    I actually saw someone talk about kids feelings and everything. Even the slightest thing they do whether it’s trip and fall in front of family members or get laughed at in class because you got a question wrong is so much more traumatic for them than you can realize and this episode showcases that perfectly. Where even though the doll isn’t real he still hurt him and as adults were never understand why this hits deep but every little thing a kid does is 10 times more painful than we can realize.

I wasn’t warned, and I’ve done what everyone else has done. Walking back to the building. But the teacher decided to punish me, and it was nothing bad. Just me in class where I can do anything I want. But for some reason I still think it was unjust even after these years and I was too afraid to question authority because it never goes well.

Children don't understand the world like adults and sometimes the smallest things can have an impact on their world. I can't even count the amount of times I had something happen that was difficult to me, but it felt like nobody understood or cared why, so I get it so much.

It might've not worked for you, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work for anyone. Therapy is more of a guide; it's not an instant fixer-upper like everyone thought it was. Therapy is quite literally something to help you decide/figure out how to help yourself.

    When I first watched this episode , I was afraid of dolls for a long time. Also I feel bad for Clarence even now! I know , that he scared ... well his whole class and this random kid . But instead of putting him in time-out , a teacher should explain to him that not everyone likes his " buddy". But no! Putting a 11-yearold boy in time-out without any reasonable explaination is better! If that teacher just TALK him Clarence wouldn't be depressed and I wouldn't have nightmares for the last 4 years . Sorry I 'm being so dramatic , but I 've seen something simmilar in my school . That's why it is important for the teacher to talk with kids/teens .Being a teacher is not just teaching , its also being a parent , that not every kid has( I'm not a teacher btw).
