When you begin your Pokemon journey, you’ll get to choose a Pokemon to start out with by your side. But let’s be real, as cute and cuddly as your starters are when you first take them with you… The end goal is to watch them grow up and evolve into their final forms. And the truth is: Not every final evolution is created equal. And our starter Pokemon vary quite a bit when it comes to how powerful they can become.
So, today we ask: Which Starter Pokemon Final Evolutions are the most powerful and ferocious… and which ones never really get the glow up the others do?

I think Incineroar should've been higher.
It quite literally defined the gen 8 competitive scene.
For sure, he didn’t clarify single battles. Incineroar is unquestionably the best VGC starter since being introduced.
I would put it top three with greninja and cinderace.
Charizard and typhlosion in the top 5 is just terrible.
I don't think he's talking about doubles.
Also imo it was best pokemon in smash bros
It's kind of funny how so many starters (such as Charizard, Chesnught and all the Gen 2 and 5 starters) were better in other Generations then the one it first appeared in.
I'd make the argument for Greninja as well. As in the gen 6 games where you're most likely going to have torrent as an ability, is only barely good against Olympia and is good against the Fire elite four member, but is bad against everyone else

@@FuckRUclips069 It is but not in Gen 6 because it was the worst starter (Kanto starters included), Mega Lucario was a much better Fighting Type while Grass Type isn't really needed outside of Gen 1, And it can't take a Flying Type attack even now and the one method it has for that is useless in a playthrough.
So happy to see my boy Blaziken in the top 3. He’s definitely one of the hardest hitters in my team.

My favorite starter is Swampert, I love Mudkip. Swampert is also pretty strong, the water and ground typing has not only the least weaknesses, but also being immune to electric type attacks, despite being even more weaker to grass

Venusaur has also been a very strong Pokemon since the beginning. Chlorophyll has always been great, and Mega was quite good as well.

My X/Y teams had to have Charizard X/Y and Greninja. They were still super viable during Sun and Moon.
Same for me in Gen 7 OU,Ash Greninja is Good on sweep and. Charizard X for Electric Resistance and Basically for Sweet Dragon Type
As of Gen 9 Meowscarada has to be amongst the top of the most powerful starters all time. Very hard to beat flower trick
As someone whose favourite pokemon is fennekin I'm glad to see it's final evolution got to a reasonable spot.
Top 3 Strongest By Type:
Water: Greninja
Fire: Cinderace
Grass: Serperior
Btw it’s nice to see that my favorite starter Serperior is the strongest grass type!
Cinderace literally had The same Hidden ability like Greninja (Protean and Leibro are the same)

Raichu is on a world champions team so I wouldn’t call him a dud, in fact he’s got me through most of the games I’ve played by himself. He’s a dud when it comes to rock and ground types, and I’m not even a Raichu fan I’m a Charizard/Typhlosion fan.
Man put Incineroar that low? He hasn't seen what that big cat can do.

Good video but you missed something. The Hisuian forms of Samurott, Typhlosion and Decidueye.
There's actually a good reason for that. You see, this script was made before the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus so I wasn't aware of the Hisuian forms yet.

Inteleon is actually probably in the high tier for viability in a singles style format cause it’s fast and hits hard. Give it a choice specs or choice scarf or scope lens focus energy set and it does work. Even with weak defenses I’d argue excluding Megas which don’t exist anymore it’s much better then decidueye samurott blastoise meganium sceptile infernape (maybe cause of power creep infernape was much better in its debut gen then inteleon ever was) torterra emboar chestnaught delphox primarina

I think your wrong. I did some research and and after checking alot of times i believe Stat wise swampert has earned his strongest starter title and is therefore the strongest starter pokemon . Hey i could wrong though.

I'm not displeased with this video because of any particular preferred starter (probably because this video didn't include any of my preferred starters because they're all in Hisui and Paldea) my issue is that "Shouldn't count Megas because Megas can no longer be used" so I'd like to see an updated version of this video excluding Megas and including Hisui and Paldea.
0:55 hold up, that does not count really considering you can’t evolve it along with the Starter Eevee in Let’s go or the Umbreon or Espeon in Colosseum
I suggest these rules:
1. needs to be Fire, Water, or Grass type Pokémon from the first stage
2 Needs to be able to evolve twice in the game you start with it!

Am I the only one to notice that Pokebinge swapped Incineroar’s colors?
Here’s my ranking:
1. Greninja. Got banned from Gen 6 OU and dominated Gen 7 OU and has an amazing playstyle
2. Blaziken. Works as a baton passer and because of that, it got banned until Gen 8.
3. Cinderace. It can counter all of its weaknesses, and got banned
4. Rillaboom. With grassy surge, it became a real threat in Gen 8 OU.
5. Serperior. Contrary and Leaf Storm made a huge threat together with specs or a scarf.
6. Charizard. It’s mega forms both became amazing Pokémon, it’s just that it has to be a lead for it to be viable.
7. Swampert. Little to no weaknesses and is amazing on rain teams.
8. Venusaur, can tank hits relatively well and got banned from the UU tier in Gen 7.
Greninja Got Banned Because of Protean Ability with torrent Greninja is Less Useful than Protean and Battle Bond.

if you're counting competitive incineroar should be much higher due to being known as the single best non legendary Pokemon in vgc (competitive double battle) or (very good cat for incineroar)
I am a protean greninja fan, a char y fan, I don't play competitive, but even I know that Incineroar is the best starter pokemon, 1 above all competitively and viability. It has intimidate, the best competitive ability, fake out, the best support move, u-turn to switch and reset intimidate plus safe entry, parting shot, an uturn upgrade, knock off, the best dark move competitively and flare blitz, best fire type physical move. He basically retired landorus T and arcanine. And you places him on 8th? Bellow typhlosion? Who was nowhere near ubers, or finalist in vgc ever. Damn.
Primarina is ranked WAY too low. So what if its slow? It's a special attacking TANK that's basically a bulkier Starmie with an amazing typing and movepool. It's a travesty that it's ranked below Empoleon, Freligatr and Typhlosion.
I agree that Primarina is ranked a good deal too low, and it seems to be because this list is also taking into account their Pokedex entries, which is the main reason why Typhlosion, of all possible things, got placed so high up unjustly. If I'm not wrong, I think Primarina is considered to be the best gen7 starter in competitive singles (thanks in no small part to having a great type combination), and is definitely the best starter to pick in-game as well, which is fitting if you ask me given that Alola is based on Hawaii

@@nikunjkhangwal To me, it actually seems like a lot of the criteria for this list is based off of their Pokedex entries and not just how strong they are from the perspective of being competitively viable or how good they are for an in-game playthrough. It's because of this that Typhlosion got such a high spot on this list despite being probably the worst fire type starter competitively

LG Pikachu more than makes up for most Pikachu being weak. High speed, decent attack and special attack, and a wide movepool. If this Pikachu held a light ball, it would easily be in OU.
Without a light ball, not only does Pikachu have a disadvantage to every starter on this list, but his HP is really poor.

Electro ball is a better move for it than Volt Tackle, because it is going to outspeed many water types.

I disagree with Raichu's ranking in this video, and I prefer him over Pikachu. He's actually able to kill other Pokemon using his more powerful electric shock better than Pikachu's, and is much stronger in battle. Sure he's like the mature older version of Pikachu, but he's actually just as cute in his own right. I'm giving respect to that underrated Pokemon being my second favorite to Gengar.🧡💛🖤⚡
There’s a reason why people love the stronger starters
Except for a few Pokémon such as pikachu and eevee most of the biggest names in Pokémon tend to be vivable picks for a play through or competitive, this goes for the starters especially as they are the face of your team and besides them there really isn’t a lot of good early game Pokémon (Gardevoir is a outlier as it’s ussaly a early game Pokémon but it’s balanced out by being kinda weak until it’s final form)
I chose Cinderace in Sword Cus its a Fire Type while Not knowing its the 2ND POWERFUL FINAL EVOLUTION
