Hi Laura! Loved this video! I used to add lemon to my foil salmon and then I learned the acidity reacts with the foil and causes metal to leach into the food. That may have been why you used parchment (and if so, please disregard) but just wanted to spread the word. Now I just add the juice once it’s finished cooking. Love your channel always❤
I have a 4 month old and am quickly learning to prep for meals around naps instead of trying to do everything all at once. I love roasting a whole lot of veggies that can be used as a side for various meats and meals through the week.
Hey girl! I just realized we share a birthday. Course I was born in the 50s! I was watching your grilled cheese video earlier today. When you were peeling the broccoli stem, I thought what a great idea to peel off the stem and it’s so thin. You could just lay that on the sandwich, but then you threw it away. But you gave me a great idea to use the peeler to make super thin slices for sandwiches. You’re brilliant!❤❤❤
Cooking the salmon in foil like that is a great idea Laura. I'll definitely do that next time I bake salmon for dinner. I season the salmon with curry, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, pimento paste and I add some chopped up lemon and orange peels. Very flavourful 😋
This is fantastic, very helpful. The advice about the parchment inside aluminum foil is a great idea, also the way the foil is seal, great idea too. The wilted spinach recipe is wonderful touch too. I love the way she explains how to's. This is a favorite video for me.
I love that it's not all blamed up and not enforcing certain products. I like to see what people actually eat and have an honest opinion. I can't take it when it looks like an infomercial. When most people cook they aren't in a dress, heels or suit!

Great quick recipe. Might try it this week! Oh also, dont throw your foil in the garbage, if you rinse it off or get rid of any food residue - which in this case there wont be cause of the parchment - you can put it in the recycling bin since its pure aluminum :))

Quick meal prep -- put thawed chicken breast in cold oven at 450 degrees for 25-30 minutes.. Saute rice in a pot with a bit of oil while microwaving water. Add about a 1/3 of heated water, moving cup/hand away quickly to avoid steam burst. Add the rest of the water, should be boiling or very close. Cover, reduce to low, 20 minutes. I like to use less water when cooking rice - 1/2 cup rice to 3/4 cup water per serving

Throw away foil or parchment paper when done. Slow bake at a low temp or at a higher temp for a shorter cooking. Salmon is easy Peezy.❤🐟
Thyme is pretty but you want dill…. Dill lemon salt pepper, olive oil, a light seafood seasoning…. Butter… pouch……let sit. Place in hot iron skillet with more butter and blacken, flip… Drizzle honey on top. You can deglaze pan and a little cream for a sauce … capers?… serve on fried potato and onion bed. Mmmmmmmm!
