I actually think championships are a bigger deal when you are a child or teenager. When you are a grown adult, a favorite team winning a championship doesn’t change our lives personally, your team wins a chip, and it's back to work, you don't get any of the money, you don't get a ring or trophy....but seeing a championship as a kid can really elevate a kids world.

My Dad worked all the time, but once when I was about 7 or 8, he took my brother and I to a Braves night game. At the time, Joe Torre was the catcher. The game went in to extra innings and we had to go because my Dad had to get up early for work.We listened to the game on our 1964 Plymouth Valiant radio on the drive home. Just as we were pulling in our driveway, Joe Torre hit a homer to win the game!

My Dad worked all the time, but once when I was about 7 or 8, he took my brother and I to a Braves night game. At the time, Joe Torre was the catcher.
The game went in to extra innings and we had to go because my Dad had to get up early for work.We listened to the game on our 1964 Plymouth Valiant radio
on the drive home.
Just as we were pulling in our driveway, Joe Torre hit a homer to win the game!
