I used to play PBS Kids every day as a little kid. It’s crazy that it has almost disappeared from the internet. A few years ago I tried to find PBS kids to reminisce, but couldn’t find anything.

I watched qubo my whole childhood, say 2005ish-2012ish and I’m pretty sure “when the going gets goth” is fake, it looks like someone traced stocking from the anime panty and stocking.
I’m leaning towards fake as well. The original post honestly gives off the vibe of one of those four panel memes to me so I’m thinking it’s just some joke that the dudes friends were playing along with.
Plus I highly doubt that two shows made within the internet era would vanish completely without a single trace, at the very least there’d be low quality screenshots or an IMDB page with little to no info on it.

The funny thing is some of the clips in the Davey and Goliath part aren't actually from the show. In fact, they're not even from a children's show. They're actually from a dark MADtv parody.

My mom literally owns a VHS copy of Davey and Goliath. I remember growing up with that show as well. It was never a favorite of mine and I don't recall more specific memories of it very much, but I do remember it's theme song and unique aesthetic. I am really surprised to find that it is considered lost media.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. I think you're confusing it with Ruby Gloom, which is a Canadian show so it probably would have aired on Qubo.
I could have sworn wtggg was a show concept done by a twitter artist. And I've never seen this show at all and I'm Canadian. I would have remembered it, even if they only aired small parts.
I *really* don't believe it's real. And even to me, the drawing itself doesn't look like it was actually done in the 2000s. I very much believe it was drawn by a twitter artist who vanished.
If it DOES exist and it is Canadian, then it's possible it exists *only in French* and was never actually dubbed in English. Though even then I've never seen a Québécois show like this either.

@@diegolorente8435 Checking back on the post, I'm pretty sure the person who originally posted it made the show up in that drawing. If you look at their art style and the poster for wtggg there's hints that it was drawn by the original poster.
And if you reverse image search the image literally NOTHING pops up. And him saying it was something his friend DM'd to him doesn't make much sense considering the image wasn't found anywhere else online, and why wouldn't he ask his friend where he got the image? How come the only place the image is sourced from is that tweet?
I could have sworn someone I knew at one point who was mutuals with him said it was a joke as well but I really don't remember
8:15 I vaguely remember going on a field trip to Chuck E Cheese and seeing a VeggieTales song playing on the TVs (I believe it was the Belly Button song).

I vaguely remember going to Chuck E Cheese's when I was a kid and they played Veggie Tales videos on that stage area. It was the first and last time I've been there. I remember being afraid of the mouse XD

i feel that the new shows that they implemented on Qubo is what lead to their downfall, i grew watching qubo and decide to watch the new shows but i hated them, they seem bland and the writing for the shows were kinad sloppy. the shows that i liked the most were, jacob two two, turbo dogs, pecola, rescue heroes, and dex hamilton alien entomologist.

@@KevinMartinez-cl8or If you're referring to that annoying nonsense they put on during the commercial breaks just before it shut down, I agree. Super Geek Heroes was TORTURE! I'm was trying to watch this channel for the Inspector Gadget marathon reruns, and then I'm assaulted by these dumb "Cut The Rope Teaches English" things and this poorly animated educational thing about nature where all the animals are constantly pissed off at you for some reason. I only really bothered with the channel when it had Nelvana stuff in there, but I always saw it as a dumping ground for lame European edutainment. And Jacob Two-Two. I really liked that one.

the Qubo one is weird, whats weirder is me staying up most nights to see some night owl qubo shows (past 12am), and during those days i never EVER seen those other shows that were mention (brain brain, and when the going gets goth)
@@TrashWoodBand well I have to disagree on that, reason being that I would spend my most of my afternoons after school watching qubo or looking up the schedule on the website (I also did hw) and not once have I ever seen the names of the two shows
Yeah, I agree the qubo one is weird cause of the it having like two programs, where I am from night owl on qubo would show old shows like He-man or trippy shows like Animorphs. I never recalled watching Brain Brain or When the Going Gets Goth because one it could be location-wise and two it could also play at odd hours in the night. All I remember watching from Qubo is Jacob Two-Two, Willa's Wild Life(Idk the main character's name), Pearlie, Barbar, and many more that I forgot about(my memory is a little foggy, since i havent watch these shows in such a long time). Also, I would like to mention that Qubo is still an active channel here since I remember watching the channel not that long ago. (after feburary 28th, but it could be a false memory)

Ok with Davy and Goliath the film he used with the demon/ zombie Goliath (the dog) was actually a joke skit from Mad TV. It was the same idea as "Clop's" a spoof off of cops where the clay cops arrest famous clay animated characters / toys. You can actually look up these videos as they are pretty funny 🤣
On the lost media page for the “When The Going Gets Goth” someone commented saying this, “The girl name is veronica VON goth. apparently she is pretty savage, and the series is about this character going on trips, likely adventures. The show also aired on "WTGGG" apparently, the show was also supposedly good”. It also says that the show had 13 episodes, but I kinda think it’s fake (I wish it was real though, the girl gives me stocking vibes from paswg)
I've never heard of When the Going Gets Goth before, but it looks like shows I used to watch. Growing Up Creepie and Ruby Gloom.

Your vids are really good, im surprised you don't have more subs for some reason. Maybe people are thinking you're copying other scary or lost media youtubers but honestly i like that you include different stuff and if it is something repetitive, then you put a new spin on it for everyone.
People really don't know what qubo is? That was my favorite channel on my TV, all those shows were a very important part of my childhood, hell I used to stay up till midnight just to watch he-man and she-ra on there

Like for me it was always 35.2 and it was paired with ion tv, so it might not make sense to some.

Another show that has missing episodes is the CB Bears from Hanna-Barbera, I've been trying to find episodes online, but haven't came across much. The other segments with CB Bears also appear to have missing episodes. It's odd how I haven't seen many people talk about this one.
Oh yeah, CB Bears. Didn’t that show consist of Blast-Off Buzzard and those cowboy guys? That show is really, really obscure so I’m not surprised that it has missing episodes. I don’t think that Hanna-Barberas much more well-known shows like Huckleberry Hound or Yogi Bear could even have lost episodes, because they’re more well-preserved due to being pretty iconic.
I’ve looked after episodes of this show too, but I haven’t found much. There’s not even a page about it on The Lost Media Wiki.
I’m a pretty big fan of old cartoons, and that includes Hanna-Barbera, so I was wondering if there’s any more cases of lost media in the HB universe?
@@themememaster6775 Skatebirds also appears to have lost episodes. The CB Bears also included Heyyy, It's the King!, Shake, Rattle and Roll and Undercover Elephant. Your right though, the show has missing episodes that don't appear online anywhere namely due to how obscure the show was.

I remember a creepy Christian cartoon that had a freaky robot in it. I remember the opening started with 2 Arabian kids running from something (I think it was a tiger). The kids dropped something that looked like a map or something rapped up.
Damm Qubo I remember I watched as kid I do remember some show like "Willa's Wild Life", "The Davincibles", "Cosmic Quantum Ray", "Jacob Two-Two" (One of my favorites), "Jane and the Dragon", "Pearlie", "Artzooka" and "Grossology" I can Only remember these show
Turbo dogs, Sally Bollywood, Sandra the fairytale detective, Henry and bucket full of dinosaurs, Anne of green gables, Timothy goes to school, Nutri-Ventures, Gofret, Todd's world, Alfred the hedgehog, Marvin the tap dancing horse, there's so much more but hope these recall some memories.
Hey, I actually think I might've played PBS Kids Play before, I don't recall much of me playing the game, but it's nice to see I'm not the only one who remembers it!
I sometimes watched Qubo on Saturday mornings and I do remember Jacob Two-Two, it was about some kid named Jacob and there was a lot of wild stuff he'd get into, then there was a show called Sally Bollywood, which was about a young Indian girl named Sally who solved mysteries with her friend, Dewey, then I remember another show that I forgot the name but it was in CGI and had anthromorphic characters, and it was about a grandpa tellings his grandkids about his childhood in Ireland.
Most of the shows on Qubo were more obscure forms of childrens shows and/or from outside the US(mostly from Nevlana, an animation company from Canada)

OH OH, I REMEMBERED (granted, vaguely) WHEN THE GOING GETS GOTH! I BELIEVE IT AIRED ON A CHANNEL CALLED “The Hub” which it then turned over and became the “The Family Channel” and then it changed AGAIN briefly to a cooking channel and it changed back to “The Family Channel”. I can’t remember the specifics, but I remember watching it at some point and I remember enjoying it! I’ll see if I can find a link to prove its existence

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Ruby Gloom. I'm Canadian and I'm pretty sure the show does not exist at all and was a concept made by a twitter artist. (Wtggg is rumoured to be Canadian but if it is it never aired on any channel here)

It is really hard to find good iceberg videos, and Book of Valis is probably the only person on RUclips that can still give me chills about such a video style. I really hope he doesn't stop making those videos.

I used to watch Qubo when i was just little i watched all of the shows with my brother we enjoy all the shows we grow up back then. Good memories.
The Mr. Potatohead show was weird. It was very sly humor and it was meant for a middle child age audience, but it was based on a Playschool toy, and Puppet shows are notoriously lumped in with preschool programming, so it really never found the audience it should have. I get the feeling they either knew it wasn't going to be renewed or only were contracted to 13 anyway and ended the series with a finale. And that finale was the only one released on home video.

Dude I'm surprised that Eco World wasn't on here.. Eco World was an online game developed by PBS I believe, and you could create obscure looking animals, and it taught you about how to be eco friendly and about the environment

I do remember PBS kids play, I remember getting on to it once but not being able to the next time I went to the PBS website back when I was like 4 - 5, sometimes I think to myself “did it even exist?” Im 14 now and I’m happy that I got closer (or however you spell it) to this 10 years later.
