A Blast to the PAST 1980s Style! I take out my new RE Release of the Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin! I never had one when I was a kid but it was always on my list to get. I was trying to be careful, cause this baby is a shelf queen! Built her myself on a rainy Sunday afternoon. My Tamiya RC Midnight PUMPKIN Re Re BUILD - Upgraded Ampro Hop UPS - 1st DRIVE - FUN COMICAL RC Truck from the 80s =) Special Thanks to @AMPRO Engineering and @poor boys RC to help me get this kit together. That pumpkin runs smooth! My first hobby grade rc was the blackfoot. Back in 1989. A friend of mine bought one two. We had a blast for the next almost 10 years and 5 or 6 RC's each.
Dude those wheelies were awesome!!! I love it when it got caught on the tailgate, epic Pumpkin style, right there! So many cool shots, too. The slow-mo turns we're sick! Great work pal! 🤙
Hey, Chris! That rig looks like a TON OF FUN!! Great camerawork my friend. Those hop-ups really look like they make the truck run smoother - great job! :D
Sweet! I've been wanting to rebuild my original lunch box for about 25 years now and have one of those Trinity motors brand new, still in the case that I've been curious about. Looks like it'll run fantastic. My truck has the Kyosho Lemans 360ST in it right now with bearings and shocks and everything I could hop it up with in the 1980's. Rooster ESC still in the box to install also. Gonna be sooooo cool. I've got a stack of bodies to do also. Pumpkin and Lunchie and the chrome pumpkin and wheels. So excited. This is exactly what I want to put on my shelf and actually run a few times for smiles with friends. Old, old school. LOVE IT.
More More More I want to see more. What Ampro parts are under the hood? It sounded brushless am I right? Am I asking to many questions lol. Great video.
