Hi Rabia, I received a Cricut Explore Air 2 as a Birthday Gift in 2021, and in September 2023, treated myself to a Cricut Maker 3. Love both machines, but like you, Cricut Design Space can be so frustrating! After an update in Design Space I have been unable to connect either machine to Bluetooth, and the only way I can use my machines is by the USB Cable for both of them.
I am on my third Cricut now as I had one of the old type in the pre Design Space days, I then had an Air and now have a Maker. It’s a brilliant machine but as you mentioned the software is annoying at the moment. It does have issues but they are trying to fix it. However the machine itself is amazing in it’s capabilities. I am learning SCAL5 as an outside software which has extra features and then just import my svg files into Design Space.
Wow! I’ve read about the machines that used cartridges 😊there was a time before Design Space tho?!! The good thing is the software issues can be fixed - and the Cricut hardware is def amazing already 🥰
I'm considering buying one. I'm a graphic designer and would only use my own designs (vector graphics made in Illustrator). Cricut access wouldn't be anything I would need to pay for would it?
Hey! Congrats! Yes you will need to pay if you want to keep cricut access - this is all the images and fonts etc. If you cancel you can still use design Space just you wouldn’t have access to those projects anymore - there are a small number of free ones you can use or you can upload your own 🥰xx
@@RabiaKhans I have. It is just very limited and hit and miss. A real shame. If i had known its limitations i think a 3d printer with a milling head would have been a much wiser purchase. We live and learn. Thank you for replying to me also.
I just got one, and I have to say, I am very, very disappointed. I cannot get it to calibrate properly, no matter what I do. Wish I had never invested in it.

Hello! Cricut Access is totally optional - you can download the free software (design Space) and upload your own designs for free! 😊🥰

The software is this machines downfall. Glitchy and wants you to login to the internet to use it.
