I made the mistake of buying a Cricut Venture for over $1000 when all I really needed with a Joy Xtra. Wish I had seen this before. Want to buy my Venture? 😂
Oh man! The Venture really is for someone who produces a lot of volume or has the need to make really large projects. Hang in there. Maybe the Xtra will go on sale soon and you can get one then. :)

The mat looks like it’s too big. It raises toward the end of the mat when it was reading.
I wish I had you two as teachers in high school! It would have been much more fun. If you are only interested in making simple projects with paper, vinyl, and iron-on, the Joy Xtra is sufficient. If you want to make more complex projects with a wider range of materials, the Maker is a better choice. The Joy Xtra is much more compact than the Maker, so it is a good choice if you have limited space. The Joy Xtra is less expensive than the Maker.

Came here after my Liklok Indiegogo contribution was ripped off. Backed in April, no machine in October. Some other people reported receiving TWO machines! Unfair! Buying a Cricut.
There is a way to file fraud charges with indiegogo. Had to dig for the link - will see if I can find it

I wish cricut had a tumbler heat press. I feel like more people do tumblers rather than mugs
Agree. The mug press is nice, but a tumbler one that can do both like HTVRONT's or Vevor would be nice.

I just bought a new Cricut Maker 3, Mug Press, Easy Press 3, Hat Press, all the tools and every cutting tool available, and every color of card stock, vinyl, mugs, hats, shirts, sheets of wood, metal, and all the different colors of markers. Now I’m freaking out because I have no idea how to use it all! lol I just signed up for Cricut’s yearly subscription. I just subscribed to your channel!

What would you pick if you have to- Cricut or Brother scan n cut? Mainly for labels and stickers?
Cricut. If your focus is mainly stickers and labels, I’d go with the Cricut Joy Xtra. 🙂

I saw in a Facebook group that some people are having trouble with the Cricut Joy Extra mat loading correctly. Has this been fixed?
Not that I know of. I have experienced the issue but not every time.
So I’m new to world of cricut I want to make a Lightbox Grinch paper box. I don’t have a Cricut. Is the Cricut Joy Extra as good as the new models Cricut?? Also I’d like to make Wood cutouts ?? Should I buy a Silhouette? Since Software is better?
Great questions. The software is very similar although you can do some cool things with Silhouette that you can’t do with Cricut. Both will cut paper and card stock, but you cannot cut basswood with the Joy XTRA. Only the Cricut Maker and the Silhouette Cameo can do that.
Can we make the mugs if we don’t have the mug heating mchine?
You could try to use an iron or mini heat press but it will be a little challenging. If you don't want to have to use a mug heat press, you could use permanent vinyl and stick that to your mugs. If you do, it's recommended you hand wash the mugs.
Will this be very similar to the original Cricut Maker? I have that one. I don’t have the Cricut Maker 3. I also have the Cricut Joy. Would it be needed for me to even get the Cricut joy xtra? I don’t have Bluetooth on my Cricut machines, but I guess Bluetooth on the xtra will be a plus.
It is fairly similar to the original maker, although the cutting area is not as wide, and the XTRA cannot cut thick materials, or some textiles.
My question is: why did you have to print the sticker from the printer? Does the joy extra not print stickers?
Yes, none of these cutting machines will print. So you have to print with a regular inkjet or laser printer before you cut.

Will make one in the next day or two. :)
Keep the plastic cover on your mats to keep them clean. Over time they will get dirty and you can clean them but best to perserve them by putting that cover on after each use.
What laptop you useing
Dell XPS with 17" monitor. You can use any laptop except Chromebook.
