WOW! your designs are super awesome ! Love the looks of the colors and choices of plates, Art Foamies , stencils inspiring ! God Bless Thanks your wonderful!
Yes! I would love to see more videos, with your favorite stencils, and also to see a video using those stencils which are not your favorite stencils for a challenge. I have a bunch of stencils, that I don’t like and wish I could use .
Hello beautiful :) loved seeing you in front of the camera you didn't look uncomfortable, well done to you for stepping waaaaaay outside your comfort zone, loved the pages that you made, so awesome and thank you for sharing x
Another great Gelli fix, Denise; another night of insomnia thwarted! Plus, it was great to see the face that goes with the voice and your hair looked fine! I would like to see a vid on your favourite stamps and stencils. Thank you so much for sharing!
loving this, binging this and now onto part two !!! I'd do anything to be sitting outside with you and gel printing for an afternoon!!! so fun and wow you have so many fun supplies to do it with!
It was very nice to see the face behind that calm, relaxed voice. I always feel welcomed and enjoy all your videos. Would love to see more geli printing. TFS! Oh... prints turned out great btw lol Joni
well I didn't feel calmed and relaxed showing myself on the camera! lol You all make me feel so great though! Oh there will ALWAYS be more gel printing videos! lol
This is one of my most favorite videos ever. Watching your process as you played with your printing supplies was such a pleasure, and almost a zen experience in relaxing. You have a lovely voice, and a great creative eye. I thought you looked great. I'm glad that I'm a subscriber!
I would love to see your favorite stamps & stencils! I loved seeing yoursweet face. Now I can put the lovely voice to a face. I love your channel. Best wishes.
awww thank you! It's nice being able to put a face with a name/voice isn't it. I always picture everything. lol I will be doing a video in the future of my favourites! Thanks
I’m watching this while at a friend’s, house sitting and dog sitting. I just brought all my supplies. So I know what you mean, you may or may not use but you have to have all with you. I’ve also enjoyed your videos on gel printing. I’m was so afraid to just play and make mistakes. But in the end it’s just for me. I’ve cut apart those mistakes and made flowers, strips for borders, quirky butterflies. TYFS.
Yes exactly!!!! That's awesome that you've gotten over the fear of making mistakes. I'm still guilty of it at times. But it is just paint and paper. Lots more where they came from. And like you have done, often there are parts that we like!!! Have fun!!!!
Aww, it's so good to see your sweet face! I loved seeing you in the intro. Yes please, I would love to see you break down your favorite stencils and stamps and texture plates and foamies. Wonderful idea! As always I love to watch your work!
Thanks so much Kelley! Love getting comments from you! I will be doing a video in the future of my favourites! That will be fun! Might be hours long though! lol As my husband says, I say everything is my favourite!
You need to remember that we all are watching you b/c you are just that good plus you give us new ideas! So please stop apologizing for everything! It gives us the wrong impression. Its OK to not be perfect. If you don't know a product name, find out later and put it in your comments. Sometimes families makes noise-- but aren't they a blessing; and it shows that we can still art with them around. And never ever apologize for your husband-- he's being supportive (tell him he's your hero! you're so lucky to have him!!). Most of all, don't put yourself down b/c you're doing a great job! You're putting yourself out there for all to see and succeeding admirably. God for you!! Thanks for your hard work!
Thank you. This was a voice over for the video. So I had looked and looked for the product and couldn't find it. That's why I was apologizing, cause people do want the links. When I apologize about my husbands noise, I wasn't apologizing as in how rude of him or anything like that. I don't think he is doing anything wrong. He's doing what he loves, as I am doing what I love. And he was doing something for me! lol I was just apologizing in case it was annoying for viewers to hear. I think it's a Canadian thing. We're too polite and apologize for everything. It's not that we're ashamed or anything like that. We just don't want to inconvenience people or annoy. It's meant in that way. lol I will try to apologize less. lol Thanks
Don't worry about looks, Denise, you look just fine and you have the nicest voice, I love how you talk quietly about what you are doing. I much prefer your style to some excited chat. I would love to see you working with your favorite self made stencils. I can't afford to buy those fancy stencils, they are so expensive, so I'm making my own. It would be very helpful to see your expertise with those, if possible.
Thanks Brigitte. I don't have a LOT of self made stencils. I have thought about getting a Scan N' Cut so I could make more of my own. But I haven't seriously looked into it. Maybe one day. A Christmas gift from hubby one year maybe. Do you have a Silhouette? You could use that to cut some. Or just simply draw and cut construction paper. It won't be as durable, but you can always make another when it tears!
@@DeniseLush yes, I used plastic sheets to cut stencils into and I made texture plates out of all sorts, like lentils and structure paste. All good fun.
Love this video! You did brilliantly facing the camera. My daughter has severe anxiety and I can struggle too at times so I can appreciate where you are coming from but like others have said, you do you. I really appreciate your generosity in sharing your artwork and processes. Lots of love xxx
Thanks so much Sasha. It is very uncomfortable. I often have to force myself to do things, especially social things. I keep telling myself, you'll enjoy it once you're there, or once you do it. You'll be happy you did. lol Otherwise, I wouldn't do a thing except hide out in my art room and play ALL THE TIME! lol Which is what i REALLY want to do! lol Thanks again!
🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵Welcome to my world. In the desert I have to work so fast it's ridic. So dry and the heat melts my washi. But I love your colors and I love my foamies as well. They always include a little free one as a thanks. No worries about noise.
Why are we so hard on ourselves? My family knows I'll try my best to slip out at picture taking time! I come to your channel because I love what you create and your generous sharing of techniques! I hope you get more at ease with facing the camera but, only if it is important to you! You do you!!!!
Thank you. I know we are all like it. Well most. Then you have some who can't get enough of being in front of the camera. lol (insert eye roll emoji here lol) hee hee
Love watching this. Fabulous! I’m just getting started with gel ringing and you are making it easy for me! And , yes, I would love to see you work with your favorite stencils. Can’t wait for Part 2 of this video. Have a great day. 🥰
Thank you so much! You're going to have so much fun Gel Printing. I just became a Gel Press Creative Artist, so I will be sharing lots more gel printing videos!
You look fabulous Denise!!! However, I can relate to being apprehensive in front of the camera. I would probably have a million videos if it weren't for having to record myself, lol. I love watching you create! You're very inspiring! I've made my own stamps from one of those BIG dollar store erasures, and they've held up for a long while now. I'm off to see part two... swoosh...
well this video is from 4 years ago. A lot has changed since then. But I will make a note in my book for RUclips video ideas. Feel free to give more suggestions.
Wow! Great prints. You have an envious collection of stamps and stencils. Love their effects. I love nickel azo gold too. Another favourite is Indian yellow hue. Enjoy watching all your creations. Thanks for sharing your process.
I had written a response to this yesterday but I am not seeing it here! Wonder why. Sorry about that. I too love Indian Yellow Hue! I tend to grab those two more than Cadmium yellow now!
Yes! Especially Golden's Indian Yellow Hue! I learned from Betty Krause that if you mix Indian Yellow with white you get a beautifully soft and bright yellow unlike any other! Goes well with so many color mixes, and brightens up dark pieces.
I plan on doing one some time in the not too distant future. I have lots of other videos planned that need to come first. But it is definitely on my list to do as soon as I can.
Denise, please don’t worry about how you look 👀, you look absolutely fine, and this video is really really stunning and fantastic. I really really appreciate your hard work and dedication to your work. Thank you so much xxx Mags
I love this video! ❤ Every print is great and I am going to watch Part 2 immediately. I would love to see a video about the stencils, art foamies and stamps you use with your gel plates.👍 I fully understand your dislike of appearing in front of the camera. I have a rather husky voice so I don't even leave voice messages on a phone unless I absolutely have to... especially not if it is for someone I do not know well. I hate hearing my own voice on a recording.😖 Thanks for all the great videos - specifically about gell printing and album making 🎨🎈
Yes I feel like I don't sound like myself when I listen to my videos. (People would probably find a husky voice very sexy! wink wink! lol) I will be doing a video of my faves! In time. Thanks so much for your support!
It's such a pleasure watching your videos 😊 I am an absolute beginner to the gelliplate and get so much inspiration from you. wow. Is there a video about how you are making the foam stamps and also maybe stencils? Sorry for asking but I got a little overwhelmed by so many videos and couldn't find this topic. Would be awesome to know.
Thank you so much for your sweet words. Here's a video about the stamps: ruclips.net/video/Yi5Ux2s9--0/видео.html I don't have anything with making stencils. sorry.
I so enjoy watching your processes and when I listen to you it is just like we are hanging out in your studio chatting! Recently some friends suggested I put together a video (also gel printing) and I would be deathly afraid! You do a great job and maybe you will get more comfortable when you try to do more direct into the camera stuff. I would really like to see a video of your favorites as you mentioned. Thanks!
Thank you! That's awesome that it feels like we're just hanging out! love that! I hope I get more comfortable too cause that was really nerve wrecking. lol
Don’t be shy! You are awesome.💗 Love how you show everything & tell us colors & what stencils or stamps you are using. It’s SO helpful. Have learned more from you, so many other uTubers just want to chat & never get to it!! Thanks, you are so generous! I seem to have missed where the stencil that had numbers, different sizes came from?
Hello Denise I love your work , your colors always look so fresh and shiny. My colors look rather dull, I use golden paints. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Cheers Debra
i didn't start gel printing until recently. Finally gave in. I love it but don't know what to do with all the prints. I have made a few into backgrounds for cards and a couple went into my art journal. any suggestions for what to do with them?? I have been watching your videos. Love your style. You have a very calm, soothing voice.
oops I read your comment on part 2 before reading this one. lol So you've already done what I suggested. lol You could make book marks too! But I too make way more prints than I know what to do with!
Just watched this video again and you did some fab prints! Just ordered more Carabelle Studios texture stamps! So much for not buying anything in March!! It was great to see you. I’m the same! You can see my hands and the odd stray boob 😂😂😂 but not me as a whole. There is just far too much of me! ❤️❤️❤️xx
Denise, l still believe you are the best Gel printer in all of RUclips. You are beautiful as you are. Besides, printing can be physical work and demands being comfortable. I dislike gals loaded up with rings on every other finger, fresh painted nails, and noisy bracelets. Don’t need the distraction when watching a demo. So like your stash of foam stamps and stencils. Thank you for sharing.
You had great results printing on the fabric. Any hints? I can’t get it to show when I gelli on fabric. Do you gesso first? I’ve tried acrylic paints. Maybe I need the fluid. Any help is appreciated. This project is stunning.
I did not gesso. I did find it not showing as easily on fabric as it does paint. You may need a little more paint than you would normally use with gel printing on paper. I'm not sure. This was my first time playing with the fabric on the gel plate. Just cut a few scraps and experiment! Thank you.
Hey sweet Lady! You look as lovely as you sound! :-) Oh, and nobody here is going to judge you on craft supplies - because we all know, we can never have enough anywhere we are!! :-)
Thank you. It's sometimes silly what takes so much courage to do. And even still I'm a little stomach sick that it's out there! lol Can't take it back now. lol
@@DeniseLushI don't think it's silly at all. Unfortunately there is the very real risk of trolls on social media and words do hurt, even when we know they're not true or justified. On a completely different note, I am so excited to see these doors lol ... Are they for the doorway or cupboards?
@@pippipants Thank you and that's exactly it. I already have my own insecurities. So if someone were to point on things that I already know, or something different to just add to the list. It would be a little crushing. The doors! They are turning out sooooo beautiful! They are for the doorways so the animals cannot get into my art room and chew everything up. But I do have furniture pieces that my husband has built and I did the paint finish on. Plus he will be building me a small desk. Lots of homemade stuff! All very exciting!
i have some fluid acrylics but mostly end up using plain ole craft paints... but seeing your nice Golden acrylics and how they layer in a lot of those pulls, really makes me wanna buy decent paints LOL... but i do get quite a few awesome looks with the craft paints i have. i gotta use what i have first cuz i have a lot of crud LOL ... love love love your prints though
@@DeniseLush I use Americana style basic basssssic craft acrylics. as well as Craft Smart brand from Michael's cheap craft acrylics lol I have student grade gouache and the cheapest of cheap water colors, too... nothin too nice. I have *one* Pebeo paint... and maybe 8 of the fluid acrylics by some decent brand... it's escaping me. but yeah.. those fluid acrylics I have as well as so cool & different. I'm still using them, but only on certain projects. lol
It's Golden Fluid Acrylics. I LOVE them. They're a little (kind of a lot) pricey. I usually ask for Golden Paints for my birthday and Christmas! lol Thanks so much for your sweet compliment!
Thanks for another great video. I appreciate all your time and talent. Denise, how do you clean your foamies? Do you clean your stencils? Boy! I sure understand about being camera shy! Valerie
well.......shhhhhh (I don't clean my foamies) shhhhh . I have though. I just ran them under water. And I do not clean my stencils. Unless it's something sticky (modeling paste, glue, etc) or something that will react when wet (distress oxides, certain inks).
I went to see where I could get the Golden fluid acrylics! Why are they so expensive? I found them at Michaels but 29.99 + depending on the pigment? For a 4 onces bottle!
Golden paints are expensive but you will pay more at Michael's for everything. I would look elsewhere. Golden's are my Special paints. I save my money for them or ask for them for birthday/christmas. lol but you can gel print with Liquitex basics too!
Nice video, love your prints! Ok, I’m totally with you on being in front of the camera. I did a couple of melodramas at a local social club, and had a great time doing it for the live audience. But here’s the thing....they filmed them, but I never watched them. I knew if I watched, I would be super-critical and would probably never be able to do it again, and definitely wouldn’t enjoy it as much. Too bad you don’t have someone to edit your videos. It’s so much easier if you don’t have to watch yourself 😂
Thank you! Yes, I do believe they are hard to find. But Art Foamies does have a website. You can check with them to see about options for purchasing. They may be able to help you out!

(People would probably find a husky voice very sexy! wink wink! lol)
I will be doing a video of my faves! In time.
Thanks so much for your support!
I love what you did! Nice job!!!
Thank you!
Love the gelli prints 💜
Thanks so much!
Here's a video about the stamps:

I don't have anything with making stencils.
Thank you so much!
The stencil you are wondering about is from The Crafters Workshop. It's called Number Scramble.
Preciosa combinación de colores, me encanta
Gracias
Hello! Nice to meet you Denise! You look lovely :-)
Thank you! 😊
Love the video.....
Thank you so much!
Awesome demo. Thanks for sharing
Thank you!!!
Yes, I would love to see your most-loved list of stamps and stencils.
will do!
YOU are beautiful and I love the way you experiment ❤
Thank you.😀
So kind.
Great lesson. Thank you .how do you clean your stencils, art foamies, and texture pads? Thanks
I don't! Sorry
Awesome 😁👍
Thanks Julie!
Hello Denise I love your work , your colors always look so fresh and shiny. My colors look rather dull, I use golden paints. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Cheers Debra
Thank you.
I don't know. Is it the colors you're using. Or the combination of colors? Or are you being too hard on yourself?
i didn't start gel printing until recently.
❤️❤️❤️xx
Thank you.
It is a very vulnerable feeling to put yourself out there on camera. Nerve wrecking.
Denise Lush I agree. Always had a hatred of cameras! I’ll keep people guessing o think! 😂😂😂
@@theartycraftytart7759 lol yes. I want the pictures, but I hate getting mine taken. lol
Denise Lush 😂
The greatest freedom you will ever feel is when you let go of caring what other people think.
That is so very true and a hard lesson to learn.
It took me 50 years to get there. Hope you do it much sooner.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. It means a lot. ☺️
Wow!❤️❤️❤️
Thanks
Well done!
thanks
Awesome xxx
thanks
Beautiful colours and all the patterns. I got a question: how do you clean your carabelle studio stamps?
I mean the rubber texture
I don't! I honestly don't. If I got something sticky on them I would.
Thank you.
Denise Lush Thanks. I’ll give it a try. 😀
Hey sweet Lady! You look as lovely as you sound! :-) Oh, and nobody here is going to judge you on craft supplies - because we all know, we can never have enough anywhere we are!! :-)
hee hee that's what I thought! lol We're in a safe environment. lol
Thank you so much. I was so nervous. so thank you.
Well done for being brave! I hate having my picture taken, videos, hearing my own voice etc. etc.
Great idea to get outside xx
Pls do a video on your favorite stencils n stamps
Will do!
Nice video!
thanks
i have some fluid acrylics but mostly end up using plain ole craft paints... but seeing your nice Golden acrylics and how they layer in a lot of those pulls, really makes me wanna buy decent paints LOL... but i do get quite a few awesome looks with the craft paints i have. i gotta use what i have first cuz i have a lot of crud LOL ... love love love your prints though
lol
I use Liquitex Basics paints as well. But yes, there's just something about the way Golden layers. sigh...
Thanks!
I'm still using them, but only on certain projects. lol
@@ibkristykat Yes I have some Americana as well.
What is the brand of paint you use? It looks so much nicer than the acrylic I use. Your work is beautiful and you present so nicely. Thanks
It's Golden Fluid Acrylics. I LOVE them. They're a little (kind of a lot) pricey. I usually ask for Golden Paints for my birthday and Christmas! lol
Thanks so much for your sweet compliment!
You may have felt like you were talking t yourself but we all thought you were talking to us.... 😉. Loved the gelli tutorial ! @anonymous.palette
lol Thank you!!!
And thank you!
Thanks! 😁
I save my money for them or ask for them for birthday/christmas. lol
but you can gel print with Liquitex basics too!
Please do the video for what stencils you use...
I will. It may be a little while, but I will!
Yes. But then I'd probably get mad at the person who edited it! lol Saying "i can't believe you posted that!!!"
lol
The Rebecca Meyer?. Foamier stamp what co is it and did I spell her name correctly to look it up
I see you've found the links!
what paper do you use in this??? what do you use your designed paper for after you have finished with them? Thanks,,,
I use Recollections 65lb cardstock from Michael's.
You'll see in Part 2 what I use it for!!!
Love your prints especially the art foamies but we dont get them in the uk so jealous
Thank you!
Yes, I do believe they are hard to find. But Art Foamies does have a website. You can check with them to see about options for purchasing. They may be able to help you out!
There are some available at Art from the Heart in Harrogate
@@serenbeck thanks for supplying that info!
