The off court personal issues mentioned in this video are not even a fraction of his off court issues. I am a family member of his daughter. At 2 years old, His Daughter was in the ICU because of a drowning accident. Josh did not want to help pay for daycare and was attacking his daughter's mother with his huge team of lawyers. The mother had to take their daughter to work to clean an airbnb and while trying to work, the baby slipped out the door and fell in the pool. Her Mother found her floating lifeless. She was able to resucitate her with CPR and the baby was taken to ICU. Josh was made aware of the incident within minutes of his daughter being taken to ICU. He was at NBA all star in Miami when this happened and decided to stay in Miami instead of flying out to Arizona to be with his daughter. He then ignored the calls from the hospital and never followed up to check up on his daughter. While his Daughter was in ICU Josh was posting himself on instagram, partying it up with a bunch of escorts. If this doesn't tell you what kind of person this Man/Child is, nothing will. No one in our family likes him. His daughter is precious and an absolute cutie. I'm not exactly sure on the details but from what I heard, his daughter and the Mom have to get around in public buses.
It looks like he never learned any humility after his talent was recognized. Someone he respected should have rolled up on him and said, "guys like you are a dime a dozen in the NBA. To stand out, you have to work hard every day. Every state in the country has ten guys like you who are willing to work hard to get to the NBA. They will take your job." It's too bad. But he's not the only guy out there whose high school years were the best years of their lives. Happens to most of them, really.
Loved his athleticism, loved how much of a dog he was and most importantly, I loved how great he was at facilitating the ball. He had such high basketball IQ but it seems like as soon as he lost his confidence he lost his game. I thought we were watching Tracy McGrady who could play the point guard when he was at Prolific
With you all the way except the 'should have stayed in college to mature' stuff. That's such a myth. He acted out in college too, surrounded by tons of immature coeds and immature party friends and an administration that enables his bad behavior and professors who fawn over him and give straight As even when he doesn't show up. How could anyone mature in that environment?
That’s a good point. I think getting his legal consequences out of the way and letting his game mature might’ve been beneficial, but maybe that’s hindsight since he got thrown in the deep end and drowned lol
I was thinking the same thing. We celebrity worship in the US way too much which ironically comes to the downfall to many of the people we are worshipping. He needed to have someone there to humble him and make sure he paid for his actions. As usual though, if you're rich and popular, you won't pay.
I worked as a beer merchandiser at the grocery store he was supposed to make an appearance at while he was in Phoenix. He had a CROWD waiting for him, that supported him and wanted him to do well. Once he no showed, he lost ALL support in PHX.
@@swishcountyproductions But it wasn’t all bad bcuz this was when James Jones got the support of the city, because he actually showed up instead to apologize and even bought Everyone a case of beer.
It's funny he was actually considered the player with the highest ceiling in his draft class, and maybe he was. 6'8 with long arms, showed potential in shooting, scoring, defense and even a bit of playmaking.
This just goes to show how many careers get ruined by the one-and-done process. He was an absolute beast at times at KU, but he clearly needed more time to grow, both as a player and a man, and the NBA doesn't have the patience for that. Stay in school, kids.
@ricster_stm up until recently, that was college. Gives players development time and has the added bonus of direct mentorship from coaches and professors.
@@ricster_stm the NBA has the D-League. Teams just don't use it that way for some reason. A player can go to the D-League right out of high school too.

Is averse to discipline and structure in general and will have a hard time with decision making unless curtailed The Celtics are a disciplined organization and that’s a turnoff for him, plus whatever he may have herd about Boston that he did not verify for himself. Typical of a follower. As a result he went to a lesser organization where the structure and support for him was probably lacking from day 1. And he never progressed. Had he been drafted they would have developed him into a much better player (see what they did with Robert Williams)
It goes unnoticed because no one was watching suns games including suns fans 😂 They were selling tickets at like 4 bucks during that time. So since no one watched the games no one really knew much about him or cared, because the other rooks were killing it, and because lonzo and fultz were the main targets to call a “bust”

As a Magic fan, I feel like if Orlando doesn't want him, nobody does. Haha. That being said, it's interesting to see who and how they develop. I actually see a pretty direct comparison (defense aside) to Jalen Suggs. I feel like the difference is what is mentioned many times in this video. Maturity. The difference between, for example, Chauncey Billups and Jackson might simply be what they want from life. It seems that Jackson wasn't willing to sacrifice his life to be an NBA player. That's the type of drive most NBA players need, and I'm not shocked or surprised that some don't have it. I don't think I would have it. Suggs was taken 4th, struggled his rookie year, but has seemed willing to put in the relentless work and dedication. Time will tell.
Today kids are too caught up with trying to be the greatest and Head to the NBA ASAP instead of just being themselves and improving on themselves in every area and just letting life happen for them. What I'm saying is that now and days both the kids and the grown ups are putting too much pressure on the kids and warping the view of the game itself and the true reason why the NBA is the best. When I grew up it was understood that the NBA and NFL were way ahead of the college games to the point of calling them completely different games/sports. Going to the league out of Highschool was rare AF. That is the problem most players can't cut it in the NBA but can't seem to understand that. With that said get your money young man and don't leave any on the table.
As a Kings fan, I remember some people hyped thinking that he might fall to us. Glad we got De'Aaron Fox instead. When he came over in the trade for Marvin Bagley, I honestly thought it might be interesting to see how he would play with some of our main guys. He never really got a chance here so I don't think it's fair to say that he was the worst player in the league during his stint with us. He was pretty terrible though and showed why he only deserved garbage time minutes. I don't feel sorry for him though. He made millions even after abusing his kid.
Trobb is like our josh Jackson ..he only lasted 50 something games before being traded in his rookie season. I was so confused a guy like Tom. Robinson who was judged the most nba ready from the 2012 draft played so bad. He looked so lost on the court and never prompt during plays. Not saying Jackson is any better but at least his rookie campaign with the suns is decent.
As a ku fan I hyped this dude up a lot turns out more than I should have lol. Ku beat Kentucky that season and in that game josh put up 20 and 10 outplaying fox, monk, and bam. He also scored 23 points in the tournament outplaying miles bridges. I think his problem was that “dog” scouts thought he had was actually just attitude problems. So much of the NBA is oppertuntity and he didn’t take advantage of his. The suns gave up on him too early because he was a idiot off the court. If he wasn’t they would’ve been alot more patient with him on the court.
I live near Detroit and met some people that played against him in HS. Said he was absurdly, overwhelmingly good. Shows how strong the talent is in the NBA and how hard it can be to make the adjustment to playing a role
He’s probably too reliant on his physicality when in high school and college, so other parts of his game never really developed. Once he got to the NBA his strengths were just the norm, and his weaknesses were magnified.
If Josh jacobs went to that Celtics workout, we could have seen a Tatum, and booker led suns, and knowing how the suns have been for the last 3 years, who knows how that could have changed the nba
Idk why, but Josh Jackson was a player who I tried to follow, despite not being a Suns fan (MFFL). When he was traded to Memphis, it seemed for a second like they might have gotten a steal, but it's sad that he just couldn't put it together. At least he wasn't Anthony Bennett
It's sad but a lot of highly touted prospects from Detroit just don't have the work ethic to develop any further once they make it to the league. I'm from Detroit. There's too many of these types of players in our history and I don't really know why. Maybe it's the same everywhere and I just pay attention to Detroit players because we hear about them.

They will take your job."
It's too bad. But he's not the only guy out there whose high school years were the best years of their lives. Happens to most of them, really.
Great videos man, entertaining and educational.
Preciate that man!!
I remember he was going to go to MSU. Or at least a huge target. That msu team would have been insane with bridges, tillman, ward, winston, etc.
Izzo probably would have toughened him up too.
This video kept the AAU ball out and how this happens more and more and how he was older then everyone else so it made him look better
I remember watching him at Kansas and in High school and thinking he was T-Mac who could play Point Guard, he was special
I clicked on the vid by accident, found a gem of a channel 🧑🏽🦯🔥

Goofy part is the girl was suspended from her team for starting the altercation
I worked as a beer merchandiser at the grocery store he was supposed to make an appearance at while he was in Phoenix. He had a CROWD waiting for him, that supported him and wanted him to do well. Once he no showed, he lost ALL support in PHX.
Such a bummy move man
@@swishcountyproductions But it wasn’t all bad bcuz this was when James Jones got the support of the city, because he actually showed up instead to apologize and even bought Everyone a case of beer.
It's funny he was actually considered the player with the highest ceiling in his draft class, and maybe he was. 6'8 with long arms, showed potential in shooting, scoring, defense and even a bit of playmaking.
As a Suns fan I was admittedly stoked we got him instead of Tatum. Safe to say I may have been off. What a scrub on and off the court
I remember hearing Josh voice for the first time it told tell me everything I needed to know about him.
So sick of ESPN and other major media fluff pieces on athletes who make millions but aren't worth a dime.
This just goes to show how many careers get ruined by the one-and-done process. He was an absolute beast at times at KU, but he clearly needed more time to grow, both as a player and a man, and the NBA doesn't have the patience for that. Stay in school, kids.
The NBA needs a minor league system like the MLB
@ricster_stm up until recently, that was college. Gives players development time and has the added bonus of direct mentorship from coaches and professors.
@@ricster_stm the NBA has the D-League. Teams just don't use it that way for some reason. A player can go to the D-League right out of high school too.
Money talks.
He left the streets, but the streets didn’t leave him!
🔥🔥 vid! Earned a sub. Dope content

We need an Anthony Bennett video
You had me intrigued after “4 month year old daughter high”
He's still relatively young and just didn't work on his craft and these guys now that's coming into the league better take notice cause the draft goes on every year and new players come in and your spot on a team is slim to none if you don't work constantly
Never understood this. As a KU fan I said when he was in college he wasn’t it. It just didn’t look right.
He was an immature AAU player
@@MyMyManMelo_ I completely agree. Raw talent for sure but nothing more. He needed to go somewhere that wouldn’t try to use him much for a few seasons. Humble him.
@@Andrew-Ryan if he was going to succeed he need to go to an organization like Boston. But he cancelled on them. A person who is immature and reckless without having even gotten into the league is not gonna be disciplined enough to 1, grow his game in his own accord. Because it require a lot of self discipline and 2. Is averse to discipline and structure in general and will have a hard time with decision making unless curtailed
The Celtics are a disciplined organization and that’s a turnoff for him, plus whatever he may have herd about Boston that he did not verify for himself. Typical of a follower.
As a result he went to a lesser organization where the structure and support for him was probably lacking from day 1. And he never progressed. Had he been drafted they would have developed him into a much better player (see what they did with Robert Williams)
@@MyMyManMelo_ can’t say I disagree with anything you said lol
Bro probably has the tism
I started watching this and then I realized I was watching a documentary on josh Jackson and decided to leave this shitty comment instead.
Drafted 4th ahead of D. Foxx, Markkanen and D. Mitchell. Out of the league six years later. One of the biggest busts that isn't talked.
It goes unnoticed because no one was watching suns games including suns fans 😂 They were selling tickets at like 4 bucks during that time. So since no one watched the games no one really knew much about him or cared, because the other rooks were killing it, and because lonzo and fultz were the main targets to call a “bust”
Love your videos !
Hope to see you on top soon !
Preciate ya man!!
Much better than the crud Mike korzemba is making lately
Still the og
@@swishcountyproductions I agree. I used to love his videos but they’re just lazy common knowledge videos nowadays. Not sure he’d even make them if it wasn’t for sponsors. There’s a reason he has 2 millions subs but doesn’t even get 100k views on some videos.
The coolest part of this video were those slick teal 'Couv Grizzlies throwback uni's 10:45
I always felt if he went to a veteran team with more discipline he could have been a nice role player. But JJ couldn’t even survive in detroit so there’s that lol
Dragan Bender, a cool name
I so wanted that to be an attack in Dragon Ball GT, maybe one by Omega Shenron
Straight Bust called it coming out of high school. Dude had nothing that stood out fundamentally to excel in the league.
I feel like some of these scouts are going just off highlight videos and clips just like we do lmao
$28,000,000 Career Earnings...He Won at Life
No doubt hope he invests wisely
He has 6 kids with 6 different women all under the age of 4. He pretends like his kids don't exist. If that's what you call winning at life.
This dude was pulling up to Pistons games with Sada Baby 😂😭🪦
This dude had a crazy ugly jump shot in college. Too bad none of his coaches at a younger age bothered to tell him his J was a trainwreck.
You do great work👏
Preciate you 👊
As a Magic fan, I feel like if Orlando doesn't want him, nobody does.
Even if he never developed but has good work ethic, he could at least be like a Herb Jones type of player
Bro typed a story book. Stfu
I wonder if josh will ever watch this
Hopefully he does. He's an embarrassment of a human being.
I live near Detroit and met some people that played against him in HS. Said he was absurdly, overwhelmingly good. Shows how strong the talent is in the NBA and how hard it can be to make the adjustment to playing a role
Josh Jackson's biggest problem is he's a head case.
Can you do a video about Harry Giles?
Definitely will in the near future
So he skipped that workout with the Celtics and we got jayson Tatum instead
Him and Bender were such a draft pick waste for the Suns. Really wish we got Fox over him in that draft class.
Damn I forgot all about him
He’s probably too reliant on his physicality when in high school and college, so other parts of his game never really developed. Once he got to the NBA his strengths were just the norm, and his weaknesses were magnified.
This was a great analysis
I don't even know who this dude is
He was so good because he was older than everybody
This dude was my favorite player in high school and college damn it sucks what happened to his career
He is currently fighting a rape case that was filed in New York on August 4th, 2023
Him getting an 8 on his leadership evaluation at 4:58 just goes to show blind and/or dumb people are if a guy has talent
You are a really good story teller when it comes to these NBA guys who just couldn't cut it at the top level. Great research as always.
Preciate your support g, really means a lot
What has happened to Josh? He had a great preseason, then got cut. Since then, he's fallen off the radar.
Mikal bridges ended up fulfilling that role
Good video
That draft he was in was crazy now that I think about it
I remember watching him at Kansas and thinking that he wasn’t as good as people were saying he was…
Nice call
I was definitely a fan of josh Jackson during his college days and was highly disappointed in the flop he gave us in the nba
Gotta make a Jalen Green and Kilian Hayes “how bad they actually were” vids
If Josh jacobs went to that Celtics workout, we could have seen a Tatum, and booker led suns, and knowing how the suns have been for the last 3 years, who knows how that could have changed the nba
The Celtics were not gonna draft him after seeing Tatum and him workout.
Remember when the suns wouldn't add him in deal for kyrie years back?
When is someone gonna make another video about THEM KINGS!!!!
This dude at worst would’ve been a quality starter or quality bench player but his mind was beyond fucked up
5 minute interview with these guys will tell you more about them than their stats will
It's sad but a lot of highly touted prospects from Detroit just don't have the work ethic to develop any further once they make it to the league. I'm from Detroit. There's too many of these types of players in our history and I don't really know why. Maybe it's the same everywhere and I just pay attention to Detroit players because we hear about them.
