Hey Ivana, I have been watching your videos from quite long time, I am also a foodie so I love your content. I loved this video and totally agree with all your key points. It's kind of sad that these 10 points shouldn't just be followed by solo travelers but is also needed to be followed by local Indian women to be safe. And yes India is much more welcoming than dangerous if you keep in mind all these points. :)

India is a place where if everything is working out perfectly, it's a great country but one bad experience and it is called a rape capital. But, there are many desperate people all around the globe committing henious crimes, in India we have a weak judiciary system, people are not reprimanded for wrongdoings and in a certain way it's an 'Anarchy'. So, please do not take risk.

I understand why you were terrified before coming to India. But I feel the tips that you talked about hold true for travelling anywhere.

Why would any one compromise on safety everywhere else but India ?
I am a solo female travel vlogger as well, n I recently uploaded my Bhutan experience, and I could sense that place is much safer, emptier , female friendly etc. But all these precautions hold up.
Are you understanding what I mean ?

U are Right. But, Some Countries are much safer than India. Of course, Accidents can happen anywhere, but a general perception of Safety still holds valid. If you travel to North East, you will safer than rest of the Area. Likewise, Singapore, Japan, Korea, China, Phillipines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia are relatively safer than India. Europe is also safer than India.

Haha so true! There also something like that with touching; some people want to take the blessing from a white person so they touch them. Yesterday a man touched my wrist and brought his hand to his heart. Now I know he's taking a blessing but if you don't know that you might get confused and think it's harrasement. And not only men do this. An old lady did it on a train too haha

@@IvanaPerkovicOfficial yeah...they do...it depends where they r from and how they gesture... India is diverse in that aspect..like my grandma doesn't allow me to touch her feet for "goddess" thing, but my brother have to..haha... blessings r more oral..they just say ..jeete raho(live long)..but once I met one really cute grandma from Himachal...she kissed my knuckles nd blessed me..that was cute..!!

Soumya? Why are you interested in scams? Take care of the mind it is the biggest scamster. We Indians are also being fooled by the western crooks. There are other Evil western Chumps who have made such cheap videos you can watch them out!
The western NGOs, Missionaries and Media agencies are working heavily against India to give it a bad name and form a bad image!

When I travelled for the first time in France, I was given a travel tip by few that the black ppl will attack & rob the travellers & be very careful abt them. Also, I made it a point not to take any risk, so I always used to be back to the hotel before 8 pm.

I appreciate the tips. There is just one tip that I disagree with: self defense classes. I'm a dude, and I've taken karate classes for a year. But my karate instructor (I think 3rd dan black belt) made it clear that I should not count on these minimal skills for self defense. He said I'd need to learn for at least two years to count on the techniques. Until then, the best thing to do is to run away from the situation.

Agree. You always want to get away from the situation whenever possible. But if you have no other choice it's good to feel confident when punching somebody.
