    This is why I picked the board at 254cad because how it covers all NEEDS and cuts out the board spam, otherwise I was at a 480-520 purchase getting what I wanted. Somehow this board doesn't have more reviews out there because if there was a "sleeper" x870 mobo this is it.

    Just ordered this for an upcoming 9000X3D upgrade from my current 5800X3D build. I'm normally a huge advocate for not buying motherboards you don't need, but I have a little money to burn these days. This thing is _by far_ the most expensive motherboard I've purchased in over 20 years of building.

      This line up, both AM and Intel are stupid expensive, I don't understand why motherboards got up so high.

    I'm going from ASSus to Asrock if I could ever get my hands on a 870-E Nova!

      Both Asus and Asrock are " Divisions of the same bigger company - ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Like Chevrolet and Buick are divisions of GM.

    I would say this is - in comparison to the other brands - a good spec sheet. They clearly state what gets disabled and what not.
    X870/ X870E has massive issues with lane sharing due to the 40Gb USB 4 that also can affect the GPU PCie 5.0 slot.
    I would say that Asrock has made the best solutions with their boards.

    Can you please review the x870 steel legend, compared to the x870 pro rs

    I’m making a black and white themed pc, so the color scheme is actually perfect. My only issue is the m.2_2 conflicting with the pcie slot. That’s so dumb and I’m gonna need both for what I want to do

    B650 boards like steel legend and others cost same or more with less performance. Blows my mind how the market is

    For me who building an all-white PC the battle between these and Gigabyte's X870E Arous Ice is fierce. The decision is very hard, these cards have a lots of black components, and the Gigabyte is rather silver than white. Aaah, why can't manufacturers satisfy everybody's needs with more designs and colors!

      I wanna see more bad ass boards like the monster hunter and sonic 870s (? Not sure if they were actually what I was looking for). The LiveMixer was a good attempt but yeah you can't really re-color these things so it would be very cool to see

    Great brief board review. I'm looking at the X870 Pro RS for a white build (using a 7800X3D and a Sapphire 7900 GRE), but I'm still torn between this board and the X670E Pro RS. If I don't plan to use the 2nd PCIE slot or more than 2 SATA ports, is the newer 870 the way to go? Thanks especially for breaking down the M.2/SATA/PCIE shared lanes.

    The CPU's for this motherboard may or may not launch next year. There is that. But having the PCI 5.0 direct to CPU is good for Battlemage. That's why to limit losses.

    what board supports pcie 5.0 for gpu as well as 2 more pice slots. Was looking at the Asus PRIME X870-P WIFI ATX but my head folds in with the m2 nvme limitations on the pcie usage.

  • @panic_2001
    @panic_2001 Месяц назад

    OK for the price, but nobody in this price range needs 12xUSB at the back. There is no display port at the back + the PCIe lanes are missing elsewhere due to the USB overkill at the back.

    It does not have everything I need, I will never buy a board without post code, clear cmos button, and have lane sharing there are only two X870 boards that have everything I need, the ASRock X870E NOVA and the upcoming NZXT N9 X870E.

      You can’t just pull the fucking battery out? That’s a damn dealbreaker for you? I don’t think I’ve ever needed to clear my cmos and if I did I can pop my battery out or use the jumper

    • @DailyTechNeeds
      @DailyTechNeeds 7 дней назад

      It has post code led if that's what you're talking about. I think most mobo in 2024 has that basic feature.

    • @pinnacleexpress420
      @pinnacleexpress420 6 дней назад

      Doesn't the lane sharing only matter if you're using both a soundcard and a gen 4 m.2 nvme, or 3-4 actual HDDs
