Your leaving out the fact with the benelli you need to buy the full capacity tube and install it afterwards. Which is like 300 bucks plus gunsmith if your not mechanically inclined. Then to full compare it to the clone you need to put on a mlok forend which is another 200. 700 bucks isnt a small difference in price. Plus your looking at the high price for the clone which comes with i assume that weird camo paint job. But if you drop that it probably shaves another 200 bucks off the price.

@@high633 The full capacity model is another $99 to $200 on GB and there is a lot of those in stock. If you want the full tube plus mlok, it's $2200 total. If your sole purpose is to attach a light, then buy a clip accessory for the tube for a fraction of the price and you're good.

FWIW a friend of mine just got the MAC 1014 clone and he's run cheap bird shot, buck, and slugs and hasn't had a single hiccup yet. He loves it, so now his brother has one too. He's also got a MAC clone of the M2. Those are around $350 on battlehawk armory right now which is insane! I paid around $2,400 for a gen 2 M4 LE with the telescoping stock and multi rail, oversized controls, factory 7rd tube... I don't regret buying the real Benelli especially if I were to trust my life to it, but holy cow they're expensive. Only silver lining is even a Benelli costs less to fully kit out than basically any rifle. You pick up a SCAR, MR556, or anything else in that tier, you'll have $5-7k in it by the time you're done. The gen 2 M4 needs NOTHING unless you want a red dot. Other than that, throw your velcro cards on and go.

  • @recoilrob324
    @recoilrob324 7 месяцев назад +4

I had a 1st Gen Benelli M1 Super 90 that absolutely refused to function with anything but full power heavy buckshot. Now those are not gas guns and use the recoil spring inside the bolt to cycle so they're a bit different...but I'm betting the problem encountered here is the same one, that being the hammer spring is too heavy. Of course to cycle the bolt has to fully re-cock the hammer and that effort is a lot to overcome especially since the bolt makes initial contact so low on the hammer that it has little leverage. Remember that's one of the ways we tailor 1911's to their ammo by adjusting the radius of the firing pin retaining plate.
Anyhow...the hammer spring was being compressed right to coil bind when fully cocked...and a simple removal of one coil made the gun run 100% with anything looking like a shotgun shell afterwards. Loved that gun...and just wonder how many 'fussy about ammo' guns out there just need a tiny tweak of spring tension to fix them? If you have a 'fussy' gun...check that hammer spring.

I'm German and like all Germans grew up with WW2 Vets as Grandfathers and Grand Uncles (in my case) and i also experienced many a Summer Night BBQ at my Grandfathers & Parents House with a ton of other Axis Veterans. I never ever heard any of them who worked together with Italian Soldiers at any Front say anything bad about them. The worst i heard was that Italian Soldiers always loved to make Fun of how both they and the French make better Wine, Food etc. but that's at best typical "Soldier Banter".
But there definitely were a lot of Italian Higher Ups who made very stupid Decisions, but that is not to blame on the Soldiers of Italy.
Also i have to mention the insanely overlooked "Decima Flottiglia MAS" of Italy in WW2.
Their Exploits and Missions are legendary and in fact to this Day are still taught to Navy Seals in the US, Kampfschwimmer in Germany etc.
But of course nobody on RUclips or anywhere else likes to mention them, because of the "Italians were bad Soldiers Meme"

FYI, you are not supposed to shoot without a choke. Just have correct choke for the shot - cylinder or improved cylider is ok for slugs. Now the thread on the barrel is most likely gone. As far as the turkish shotguns go, I 100% agree, they are not there yet. Maybe some day.. But this makes you appreciate crafstmanship and know-how that goes to (more expensive) OGs.

Had a Gforce Arms SAX2T. It ran 3" shells out of the box without issue. 2-3/4" were hit and miss and also caused super weak ejection. After about 80 or 90 rounds it cleared up and ate whatever I fed it. Paid 350 for it.
Biggest issue I had was the trigger not resetting after a shot. It was happening at random. I opened a support ticket with GForce Arms and they sent me shipping tags to send it in to have em work on it. RIght before I sent it off I decided to take out the trigger pack and take a look. After some time I figured out it wan't even the trigger. It was the safety. Turns out the notch on the crossbolt safety where the rear of the trigger indexes into it was getting lodged into the channel for it, if I squeezed the trigger hard.
So I cleaned up the channel of the safety, taking a few thousands of an inch off. (Of course keeping plenty of material still there for the safety to work)
After cleaning it up it wasn't an issue again.
Going in I expected problems being it's an 350 dollar semi auto turk shotty.

Initially it just hung up on everything, birdshot, slug, buck, whatever. I found out it was basically just the feed ramp that was too sharp an angle. Polished it up and now it runs everything. Yes even cheapo bird shot. I think it was a well spent $600. Not gonna shell out $1600 for a clone when you can get a real one for $200 more but $600 was a good price

I bought a Panzer Arms M4 and replaced the stock with their adjustable one, threw on a Vortex red dot, Midwest Industries handguard, muzzle brake choke tube (because why not), a crimson trace light I had lying around for another build I never got around to and a full length mag tube. Including ammo (500 00 buck from black aces, and 500 turkish slugs) the total cost was about the same as the Orthos. I've thus far put a little under 500 rounds of various slugs, 00 buck and high velocity buckshot through it without issue. So far.
The turkish slugs are garbage tier, at least one of them was loaded super light and barely kicked (gun still cycled fine though), and just looking at the rifling on the slugs themselves as well as the "hollow point" on the tip, they were only good for range use. The 00 buck from black aces was/is fine.
Is it a Benelli? No. Is it just as good? No. Is it "good enough" if you just want the looks and a fun range toy? Absolutely. I wouldn't trust it for home defense, let alone actual combat use. One day I'll get the real one.

Turkey is plenty capable of producing any quality you want. It’s the importers that are setting the specs. They are basically telling the manufacturers what price point they want, and they manufacture down to it. This gun does have a lifetime, transferable warranty though. However, for less than a grand, you can get the LE Beretta A300 Patrol, put on an optic, light and sling and still be under $1500.

Looking at getting a Panzer M4 SPEED PRO they’re around $600.
Look solid MLok, Pic rails, ports, pistol grip. +2 tube extension if you want to buy it. A 1:1 replica you can put any Benelli parts on there.
For $600 I can get a tactical shotgun with wood finish and then change out parts at will to make it reliable. But then it’s like dammit should I just get the A300 then

At that price point I wouldn’t do it. I bought a new m4 le model with the tele stock and full capacity with night sights for 1900. You gotta shop a little. I will always pay more for a known product. I can see the turknelli at the sun 500 mark but not this. I am curious if the gun was new when you got it. Even a real m4 wouldn’t low brass until broken in with a few hundred buckshot and slugs. At least that was my experience and the experience of several other owners I have talked with.

In the game Hearts of Iron 2, Italian tech teams were all pretty good but almost universally lacked industrial efficiency as one of their skills. I always think of it when I see Italian products because that it was so spot on. Beretta might have been one of the few that did, I can't remember.

It could be possible that the managed recoil buffer stock, is affecting the inertia cycling system of the bolt. Using lighter shot shell loads, with this style stock, may contribute to ejection problems.

Bro sorry for my bad english, ı have translated for google translate . Shotgun cartridges in Turkey. It is designed for use in Turkish hunting rifles. Since it is difficult to buy a gun due to the law in my country, illegal guns are generally used in the villages. Turkish cartridges are used in these weapons. When we import these weapons abroad, the size of the cartridges confuses us. The reason is related to the cartridges you have. There are small differences between cartridge sizes in Türkiye and America.

This is a “modified” clone which is why it’s $1,600, a “modified” beretta or m4 equal to this would cost a lot more.
For example, the “agency arms” modified benelli m4 that has similar mods to this orthos costs $4,800.
Comparing $1,399 to $4,800 is a drastic difference.

This will be a long comment. I bought A Taurus P92 AF for 424.$ On 02.07.09 As with everything I buy I want to know all about it. So when researching this tool I found out that Beretta couldn't complete the build quaintness required by the military. It was easier to duplicate all there tooling and ship it all off to south America to Miguel Taurus. Each item even had Beretta stamped on it. So you never knew if you got a Italian tool or one from south America. Once the contract was filled Italy thought it would cost too much to have all the tooling sent back. Miguel made them an offer and thats how the Taurus company began. I know that was off topic but fallow along. On 02.23.2016 I bought a Mossberg JM930 PRO for only 691.01$. Before I ever used it I took it to a friends house that thought he had to have the best in everything. He popped off every round in it and and said "Damn this is as good if not better than my Bonelli"! How much did it cost? He asked. He was sick when I told him. Unfortunately I lost my collection in a boating accident.

If I had to pick something in lieu of a Benelli, I wouldn't go for a Turkish clone. Beretta has shotguns that seem like better "economical alternatives". As for the Palmetto State AR15, I dunno. If you're looking for an affordable, entry level AR...for quality vs price point, the Smith & Wesson M&P15 is really hard to beat.

My first shotgun was/is a Cesar Guerini Summit Sporting (Italian hand made) still a smaller producer than Beretta, but i believe one might get better quality at the same price range with for that reason. Id definitely buy the Benelli in this case tho, too small of a price difference to go for a knockoff, you know they had to cut off quality somewhere and id also rather support that old Italian craftmanship.
