Inspired! I love seeing Kerbal shenanigans, especially when they are brilliantly planned, and very well executed. Thanks for the great post. Nice work. Looking forward to much more. Take care. q;)
Thanks for doing this. Your vidoes are full with awesome footage, they are so intensive, so remarkable... Keep doing this, your name will be important and known trough ksp comunity.
this design is pretty cool. i'd be surprised if it isn't possible in real life. imagine a car jumping 1km or further... :D love the drag stabilisation and the dampening thrusters with the parachute. all of these are systems that exist in current air- and spacecraft, so i don't see any engineering issues that would prove excessively difficult if one were to try this for real
Add a reaction wheel to significantly reduce the time it takes to recover when crashing on the way up thus also reducing the amount of time that you vehicle is sideways, if it is sideways it will catch more air thus slowing it down
6:19 It push you on top, this brings you in a position of nose up, then your strong boosters will push you in this direction. An flying construction, but not an efizient one. Sry for bad english. Its a Rocket with wheels...
Wait... this is Lacuna Coil? My god, they sound way different compared to back when I first heard about them... uh, 10-12 years ago maybe? >_> Anyway, nice idea with the ramp! But here's a challenge: Constructing a cargo tansport rig for big, otherwise static objects like this ramp, maybe based on the wheel/rocket assembly that this ramp has. Then use it to build a whole stunt-drive-course of ramps! :D It combines efficiency with insanity. ^^
That sounds like a great challenge. I'd love to try it, but unfortunately the ramp is a bit performance heavy and my game wouldn't be able to handle more than one. It originally had more fuel and struts and beams, but I had to remove everything that wasn't vital in order to record a video of it with acceptable FPS.
I thought you quit youtube or something since you havnt uploaded in months lol. Glad you're back though! Enjoyed the vid, I thought you had it on the last jump. I think if you would have had a longer launch ramp, I think you would have had it in the bag!
Thanks! I designed the ramp to kick me up to go over the buildings, I think I could also get more distance if I changed the angle to be a bit shallower. This maybe something I need to revisit.
I do like the video, i really do, but two things that i didn't like were that you used the air brakes in air( which i felt was like wings), I also didn't like that you used those rockets as you landed( which i felt was powered flight a little). Other than that, great video! :)
Thanks for the appreciation. I didn't put a lot of thought into the car in this video, both the airbrakes and the landing boosters were added for style, however I noted that both of them hindered my distance not aided it. The airbrakes added a lot of drag and slowed me much faster, and the landing boosters activated with the parachutes pulling the nose up, which caused them to apply some reverse thrust. By the follow-up video to this one I had removed those two things on a car designed to jump farther.
"Sir why are we calculating the mathematics for a ramp jump?"
"Shut your mouth this is gonna be rad."
-sir, why are the jump length and height very closely ressembling the length and height of our space center?
-sh-shut it it's gonna be rad I said
This is screen shot worthy
Stonks
@@Eraatosthenes what
That landing after the first one tho, too good
Roarezzz
1:48 if you want just the landing
Solace2 the third attempt tho

Scroll down to the value of t, and hit play. It makes the accretion disc move.
Isaac Westawski wtf
Bonus points if you can land on the VAB.
And as always -fly- jump safe !
Takuan Soho, I agree with you, and I bet the pilot is Nikola! XD
I just came here from your jumping from minmus to kerban and I'm thinking Of course
Same
Awesome, now try to drive that ramp up an even bigger ramp 8)
hankscorpiouk i really want to de something like that xD
-So what's KSP ?
- this is a game where you can lan- no no no wait
Inspired!

Thanks for the great post.
Nice work.
Looking forward to much more.
Take care.
q;)
6:06 Lol I genuinely laughed out loud at that result; definitely "fixed" it XD
Jump from Minmus to Kerbin, land off a mountaintop, carjump from ramp to ramp all the way back to KSC and fly over it, and do a backflip.
TruMint Yeah ok hold on let me just become god real quick to do that.
I know it's probably obvious, but I find it cool that the air pushed against the airbrakes, lifting the nose and thus lifting you.
I guess you didn't "clear the runway"
I love how you designed the ramp! XL landing gear to move it and can than lower the ramp on to its support stuctuer was well thought out.
This is absolutely amazing. I'm suprised by how strong the ramp is, and that car was awesome!
Thanks for doing this. Your vidoes are full with awesome footage, they are so intensive, so remarkable... Keep doing this, your name will be important and known trough ksp comunity.
The Duke boys are proud!
reminds me of that guy who tried to jump over a river from canada to the US
06:11 who needs ramps?!
awesome vid btw ;)
ramps are overrated.
Ramps? Where we're going we don't need, ramps... 6:11
would be really cool to land on another ramp so you dont have to use the boosters on the bottom
Yeah I may revisit that idea sometime. The main reason I didn't use another ramp was framerate drops, but I got the welding mod since then.

It kinda works a bit like an arrow and has a bullet design....I’m impressed
What a cute KSP channel! Totally watching everything here now.
"That's not what I expected" is such a Kerbal statement,
“I can do better” no I don’t think you can. That was the most flawless execution of the plan possible on what I assume to be your first try.
Spellbound (Instrumental) - Lacuna Coil
Awesome video, by the way. 👌🏻
Nice work! i cant wait to see more content like this!
Everybody gangsta til the racetrack redesigns it’s self 😱😱
kid:dad what does air brakes do /dad: they make your car jump without a ramp 6:15
Rules say not allowed to use powered flight, then uses vertical srbs to slow descent- powered flight.
Disqualified: Powered flight.
Landing jet.
Really enjoyed the video!
Haha. Time to jump from KSC to the island runway!
I really want that rover because it hops really well
honestly, i'm amazed you had the patience to create such a perfectly smooth ramp
if there is a ramp on the other side too will be perfect!
I like this guy, he includes the fails.
"guy"
Just ignore the huge ramp with retractable gears and boosters that's currently taxiing over the runway.
7:00 Hey, don't you remember the meme? "If some thing doesn't work, MOAR BOOSTERS!"
Add a reaction wheel to significantly reduce the time it takes to recover when crashing on the way up thus also reducing the amount of time that you vehicle is sideways, if it is sideways it will catch more air thus slowing it down
You've contracted the Jumps.
hands down one of the best no comentraie vids for ksp the only perdon who i think could beat this is matt lowne also i bad spell
This makes me want to try sending a rocket into space using only a ramp to exit the atmosphere
My head constantly "WHERE ARE U AIMING AT??"
Get rid of those air brakes and add more boosters! Oh, and let Jeb drive
Doing Jeb and Val real proud mate.
When you started flying before you hit the jump, I laughed so hard... XD
Dang
Your car is so good it jumped the ramp...
You know the m2fs kids that are like jumping with the thing on their head
nasa could never 🤦♂️
you kinda created a working batmobile
6:19 It push you on top, this brings you in a position of nose up, then your strong boosters will push you in this direction. An flying construction, but not an efizient one.
Sry for bad english.
Its a Rocket with wheels...
I copied this and almost hit the end of the runway from the start.
NeedsMoreBoosters which engine did you use and what is that circular thing which he placed on the back of the cockpit
car jumping? looks like a fly to me
good vid btw
only with kerbal physics
5:03 you didn't fly but the ramp certainly did :D
I would call that powered flight..
3:50 never forgetti
Here's a challenge for you:
Jump over the high "K2"-Peak in the closest mountains!
Imagine NASA or another space agency doing this IRL
Awesome, never seen something like this done!
you have made a car/plane!
Wow, awesome jump. This car looks like a fly :D
This song... I'm so fucking high right now...
He deploys the parachute so late lol
and a jump to the island? using more aerodinamic car
When you jump the ramp instead of the runway
Your car looks eerely similar to my first one
When she was jumping the space centre the ramp kept braking then all of a sudden it didn't brake
Kerbal physics! You never know if you kill or dont kill a kerbal!
Spectacular! Well done!
I just got a Spanish Ny-Quil ad.
KSP is when you need to use rocket engines to move a simple ramp
Nice! Well done, great planning, subbed!
Things to avoid:
Cheats (ok)
Powered flight (ok)
Wings (ok)
Dying kerbals (a see a problem here)
XTREME
Have the ramp run onto another rank and then have it jump over the ksp!!!
the *car* jumped over the *kerbal space center*
girl you earned my like and sub! :D
Flips for days!!!!
mad max space program.
6:16 - who needs ramps ? xD
Wow! This is amazing.
who needs wings when you have airbrakes!

Kerbal rocks my jocks
Hahaha incredible awesome video! No more! (maybe you can try with other rocket fuel type)
I thought you quit youtube or something since you havnt uploaded in months lol. Glad you're back though!

u could have made the runway if you used airbrakes as wings...
use it slows u down but u can glide
Now jump the mountain range.
6:18, I've had many of those moments in KSP!
"WHAT THE FUCK IS JEB DOING OUT THERE"
Jeb: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
a second Ramp to land on.
How to cram five minutes of failed jumps in one video.
Bro you said things to avoid powered flight, but you used power for your landing in the first jump, still giving a like tho!
Great work!
Just add "moar" boosters
Its more of Nikola wicked really.
perfect stunt
ty for music!
did you use infinite fuel?
great stunt man!!!

what a fun project you set urself. subbed for more fun :)
