@@nimra1984 Yes, it is almost as if Yannick had a day of rest and Medvedev had none. Meddie's legs were gone in the third, he didn't bother to cover for the long line backhand anymore and Yannick only had to execute one long line backhand after the other. So many free points. But wait, Meddy really had no day of rest, that's not very smart for the organizers to favor players from one group vs the other?

Sinner got stronger and stronger towards the end of the match. His backhands down the line were incredible. He takes it so early it's almost back on the other side of the net as soon as it lands at his feet. It's getting like ping pong how fast these guys play these days.

Totally agree. It's like they are playing table tennis. Sinner is almost doing half volleys from the baseline and not missing. Ridiculous! Players never used to take the ball as early as this except Federer and previously Agassi! Crazy!

Medvedev would have deserved as well but he had no legs left in the third set, it is a shame 2 players of the semi finals have 1 day of rest and the others play semifinals immediately the next day. In the tiebreak Meddie's legs were gone, he stopped covering for the long-line backhand and Sinner only had to string the shots one after the other.

Yes, I really don't understand the decision to give one player 1 day of rest and then make the opponent play immediately after their last match. It was very visible it was lack of legs that cost Meddy the match, as he was not covering for the long line backhand anymore in the 3rd and Sinner juts strung winner after winner. Wondering if Meddy didn't have a small muscular problem because his movement pretty much stopped in the third.

Good to see Sinner getting better and better, and taking out Medvedev whose grunting starts to annoy me more and more. in the 3rd Medvedev's legs were gone. and he stopped defending the long line backhand so it was free points for Jannick.
