I think Jannik must find other tools to win than base line hitting because in this way his body will claim a toll sooner or later
You have to be in superb condition and form every ATP match to play as "The Demon" plays and remain without injury. Let's all hope he can do it. Lleyton Hewitt deserves to have Alex in every Davis Cup match possible from now on.
Congrats to both players, this was important for both in different ways. For Alex to see that he can compete on a high level. In 2024 so far, if you can keep up with Sinner, you have a chance to beat anyone theoretically. And for Sinner, he handled the post grand slam fatigue period very well with a win. Once again, he shows us that a true champion in the making. He has learned how to win, how to focus on the right points, pushes the right time, not to panic and just win. It is still too early to tell, we need to see his clay and grass seasons but so far, he is becoming a true, elite winner.🏆
Despite his loss, I'm seriously impressed by De Minaur! The last time he played Sinner it was a total blowout and now he actually gave Sinner a seriously challenge. But what can you do? De Minaur is simply playing the best player in the world right now.

Alex did all the needed, playing at his best . Sinner just managed him with his 60-70% maybe being glacial at the crucial points . This is the main difference between a great player and a champion. Congrats my italian pride
I really enjoyed the level of this game. It cannot be easy in a final to fight iff the tension and still play so well. Kudos to both players. Makes tennis such a joy to watch
For the last two years De Minaur's progress is remarkable, but you can not win an even match against the likes of Sinner and Medvedev, you have to be the better one. If one is octopus the other is the spider, reaching and hitting everything in sight. Sinner has still room to grow, upside is crazy.

De minaur was playing the tennis of his life, beating Rublev and Dimitrov, crushing every neutral ball but still Sinner was able to outclass him. Very impressive. I think he'll become world no1 during the year

Rotterdam always witnesses the different atmosphere and aura in each year. It was another breathtaking ATP tourney that was played throughout one week. The stable upturn of the professional Italian tennis competitor continues along with the AO24 title. It was really a tremendous title which was clinched by Jannik Sinner in Rotterdam, plainly demonstrating a valiant and intrepid performance from the beginning to the end. It points out that he will contend more resolute and unfaltering in the following periods of 2024 season. Massive congrats to my favorite male tennis competitor!
I've always thought that De Minaur deserved more. He's fast, he's intelligent, the top 10 is definitely his place. As for Sinner, I think he did not play his best tennis in Rotterdam but, still, he won. That's what champions do.
Yes I also wish Andy would stop tarnishing his reputation as the number 4 (behind Fed, Rafa, and the "Djoker" of course) in that elite group of last Century and the first 15 years of this Century.
Last year's Sinner would have lost a game like this, so encouraging to see how he's matured so quickly. De Minaur is deserving of a Top 10 spot. His backhand is lights year ahead of where it was at the end of 2022.
Sinner is already a much improved player and has all the weapons now. It's so great to actually see de minaur working so hard on his game. The mere fact that he challenged sinner from the baseline and even hit bigger than him sometimes is astounding. At this rate, alex can crack the top 5. He has the all court game and he is getting some power in his strokes. He can play topspin and flat, hit volleys, defend insanely well and can be ultra aggressive. He probably only needs to improve his serve. High quality points.
Sinner played horribly. He was super tight which led to way too many 2nd serves which in turn led to too many baseline rallies. And he still won. If Sinner had relaxed a bit more and stopped pressing so much, the scoreline would'v been 6-3 6-3 without all of those breaks of serves.
Jannik not playing his 100% but winning anyway speaks volumes of the player he is. Winning the most important points. Playing his best tennis under pressure. Simply mentally unbeatable. Ranked n.3 but definitely n.1 😎🇮🇹🏆

Does anyone remember when these guys met in the Next Gen finals? I had never seen Sinner play. De Minaur had dominated every match I watched and thought he was clear favourite. Sinner absolutely bodied him, I couldn't believe it. Dont think De Minaur expected the power and athleticism. Since then, Sinner has been my favourite young gun.
Just a reminder that everyone is praising de Minaur for putting up a fight (and he truly deserves it all) but Sinner didn’t gave him a set, didn’t even let the first set to tie break. (he gave ONE set in the whole tournament, 4 set total in 2024) He is doing great so far and people started to have impossible expectations like he will pass every game 6-0 6-1. Jannik also needs good challenges and opponents so he can develop as a tennis player to get better. He will lose a set, a game, a tournament and it is good to lose time to time so he can learn from them too which he did in the past and he has become this player now. Thankfully he is a very self aware kid with a good team around so he hopefully keeps being grounded despite all these mayhem around him🤞🙌

De Minaur played an incredible match, a true wall, he improved so much on serve and I predict this year he will be 1000 winner and consolidate his ranking. He's speed and precision is unmatched. Congratulations to Jannik for the mental strength it was obvious he was not in the AO form but he managed anyway to stay always ahead of ADM in the scoring.
Sinner is still improving his game year by year, this dominant at 22... he will be a 10+ Grand Slam winner
Mental maturity and extremely hard work have brought Sinner where he is today. Forza Trentino !!!

Gran partido! Éstos son los partidos que me encantan, muy parejos, técnicos, físicos, inteligentes. No, cuando sólo el que está de un lado todo lo hace bien, y el otro no.
De Minaur has improved so much! Keep going kid. Sinner, The BestvTennis player in the world at the moment, no doubt.
Man I'm Italian so clearly I'm a Sinner fan since the beginning of his career... but de Minaur has improved a lot and, maybe more relevant, it is so evident he is such a nice person, it's impossible to hate him
Congrats Sinner ! Very close match
Sinner is far and away the best player right now. 2500 points this season so far. I’m hoping he can keep the success going, lot of people were writing him off back when he had foot blisters
Sinner could potentially be having a season such as the Djokovic 2011 season, he looks like he’s at a higher level than every other player on tour and if he stays fit and mentally strong I think he can do it
He’s growing muscles in his body
Contrary to Carlitos who was already built at puberty
If this guy puts 5 more kg spread between leges harms and Abbs
He will be unplayable
Already is
@@luislizard2626 yep sinner is similar to Djokovic and Alcaraz is similar to Nadal.
Three out of four ain't bad and I also truly believe that he can compete with the big boys on the dirt.
Wait for Carlos on clay (Not favouring anyone) i support Alex all the time but his performance today was very good
@@performance3132 Carlos got knocked out of a clay tournament earlier today. He hasn't been himself since he smashed his hand in anger during the match against Djokovic in Cincinnati.
Sinner = love/ italians = suck

3:07 Sinner reads that inside out forehand cross court so well...de Minaur is still in his wind up and Sinner's already on the move to be in the perfect position for a pass. Pure instinct. So good!
De Minaur played well this match, higher than his usual level. He shouldn't feel any shame loosing to Sinner who is still in form coming off of that AO championship.
Fantastic match. De Minaur improvements are stunning too.
Well deserved 1 and 2 place!
Congrats to Sinner, but very impressed with De Minaur’s level, always enjoyed watching his matches, but he’s now definitely playing top 10 level!
Without a doubt best player in the world right now.
Funny thing is he played subpar today and still beat ADM in straight sets
Sinner played horribly & STILL won, lol. Only 56% 1st serves in & 39% 2nd serves won. Out aced by Demon 10:4. Top guys need to stop being so scared of D Minor. They need to remember they have bigger weapons. Ruby & Diminished were foolish to let him beat them, but wtv, Sinner still won, so we got there in the end.
@@got2bjosh In tennis the winner is the decisive point, statistics are used to understand the dynamics of the matches.
Champions win even when they don't play at their best, Sinner is a champion.
@@luigibadiali9461 What in the banal, pedestrian statements saying nothing while attempting to sound smart. Go talk to the mirror before you think of trying to explain the obvious to me. Numbers are numbers. They alone don't tell the story of the match. You need qualitative and quantitative analysis. If someone looked at the scoreline or percentages they would be perplexed at how Sinner won that match seemingly so comfortably, but as I stated in my summary, the psychology of the match points to what was really going on. Sinner was TIGHT. Once he relaxed, he played better. The match was always Sinner's to win. He just needed to get out of his own way.
Like Nole when he played bad and same win, for that seems that Sinner is one of the god of tennis, incredible and very rare actions
@@got2bjoshuhmmm actually he served better in first than in second set… probably you should downsize yourself
De Minaur is very strong; and so do many other opponents.
Every match is a battle, but... you have to fight for every single point and make a masterpiece.
And at the end of the match so far Sinner is the best in recent months.
So we enjoy wonderful tennis, but as Kyrgios said, Sinner is the king, and he recognized this before the point because Sinner's game is like that of a chess player.
The ground play is just fascinating to watch, even in highlights its so mesmerizing. Hats off to both. Congrats to Jannik, and looking forward for next De Minaur play - the beast!
Wow, DeMinaur played the perfect game of his life and lost, that means just one thing...Sinner is becoming a monster!!
"The Bad Man" is no monster he's simply the best male tennis player on the planet right now.
Barring injury he'll dominate everywhere except on the red clay in Paris this year.
@@tonymiller6847 He could make a deep run at roland garros as well. Remember he beat zverev there a couple years ago
Incredible tennis and ball striking. Sinner is a beast. He just had a bit more firepower and mental fortitude. Great match. Well played by both.
This is one of the best matches I've seen in ages, love love love how well AdM has been playing, can't wait to see more good stuff from him. And Sinner is a beast, obviously - wouldn't be surprised if he finishes 2024 as #1.
Deminaur played much better than expected, unfortunately Sinner is really know when is the time to push and grab those critical points
Sinner's reach is insane. That lob he reached on the stretch
Wow the athleticism in this match. Looked like a very good match to watch
Yes I also believe "The Bad Man" will dominate for many years to come.
Gaddamn, what a level! ~2 years ago I was thinking the tour will become boring due to level drop at the very top since the Big 3 retired/stopped playing most tournaments, but I was definitely wrong. Tennis is in good hands :) De Minaur is one of the most improved players over the last 2 years! And Jannik is on his way to #1, simply unstoppable.
De minaur was playing the tennis of his life, beating Rublev and Dimitrov, crushing every neutral ball but still Sinner was able to outclass him. Very impressive. I think he'll become world no1 during the year
I Love this young man, Jannik Sinner. What an athlete, and such an excellent model for young tennis players. Jannik's win today gave me Joy. Congratulations to such a gentleman. Thank you.
FORZA!!! 🧡🧡🧡♥️♥️♥️
Sinner's 52 week stats are legitimately terrifying.
Jannik, like Richard said. maintain your fantastic kind attitude and you will win a lot more big titles and you are already the best ambassador what could happen for the tennissport. You are already now a great champion. Glückwunsch Jannik! Bleib wie Du bist!
I wouldn't have been surprised if either had won, there wasn't much in it at all. Congrats to Sinner for making Italian tennis history.
Came to see this year's favorite and look at Deminaur. He plays one of his best games!
Sinner is an example for all youngers players. Sometime is necessary stop your routine and check all things that you can improve and be focus and your work. Now he fixed all issues and started to win. A Big example to Alcaraz.. Sinner is for a big things for this year.
Btw Minaur is playing in a good level. He is improving a lot his play. Good for him.
Sinner is on fire!!
Regards.
De Minaur is continously improving his game, for most of the match was on pair to Sinner
Shows us how good Sinner really is
Rotterdam always witnesses the different atmosphere and aura in each year.
Shades of Djokovic Murray’s battles perhaps? What a match
Yes I also wish Andy would stop tarnishing his reputation as the number 4 (behind Fed, Rafa, and the "Djoker" of course)
in that elite group of last Century and the first 15 years of this Century.
De minaur played awesome, he's going back with lots of confidence
Congrats to *Sinner* whose form is simply amazing.
*De Minaur* also is on the rise, a contender playing his best ever tennis.
Last year's Sinner would have lost a game like this, so encouraging to see how he's matured so quickly. De Minaur is deserving of a Top 10 spot. His backhand is lights year ahead of where it was at the end of 2022.
Great match and the no grunting part made it even better
He is awesome now the next Roger Fed ...unstoppable
Sinner is a consistent player. Hoping to see more of him in ATP finals.
@@got2bjosh yeah but even on second serve and neutral rallies from the baseline, i do not expect de minaur to hang on with sinner.
Jannik not playing his 100% but winning anyway speaks volumes of the player he is. Winning the most important points. Playing his best tennis under pressure. Simply mentally unbeatable. Ranked n.3 but definitely n.1 😎🇮🇹🏆
Only a great Sinner could beat today an amazing De Minaur. Greetings from Rome Italy
Ragazzo sei uno SPETTACOLO!!! Non mi divertivo a vedere il Tennis da anni...e adesso non perdo un incontro... Onore a De Minaur che ha giocato una partita SUPERLATIVA e una settimana di grandissimo Tennis. Bravissimi entrambi CHAPEAUX!!!
Congratulations Jannik! I admire your strength
Impressive Sinner against a strong De MInaur.
3:55 What a point! Sinner was *everywhere*! Fair applause from De Minaur.
Thankfully he is a very self aware kid with a good team around so he hopefully keeps being grounded despite all these mayhem around him🤞🙌
Eccellente commento, non potevi dirlo meglio 👍
@@leominerva3494 thank you! People need to calm down a bit and appreciate what he has achieved so far and realize that he has just started and a long way to go. There will be ups and downs so he will learn how to handle them, he has that strong mentality already.

@@No_co_OK Happy for you :)
As a Novak fan, Sinner will be #1 by next year - I’d consider him the new favorite on hard courts, while he’s no pushover on grass either. No way he squanders a 2-0 lead against anyone in a GS anymore. He has that confidence now. Also, thought de Minaur was just a “getter” but the guy is on a level right now. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him and Rublev spend the year trading 5th and 6th places
Breaking Sinner twice without a huge forehand or backhand is a hell of an accomplishment. Only reason he won’t reach top 3 is he is also easily broken
Congrats on winning Jannik!🦊🎾🏆🇳🇱 I respect you guys for respecting each other's opponents.🇮🇹🤝🇦🇺See you next tournament.🫶
What a great match! Play level is Open caliber. Congrats to Sinner AND De Minaur! Well deserved.
Fantastico e unico , complimenti Sinner😊
Loved seeing this matchup pitting Sinner's power against de Minaur's speed.
Fantastic tennis from both!
Absolute tennis brilliance from both players 🎉
Sinner must continue to work, like he is doing, if you win even when you didn't play your best tennis means a lot💪🎾
Yeah, this final was SO tense and Sinner did not play his best, but against D Minor it was still enough to clinch the win. Tbh, I've said that about Rotterdam from the jump. The air was thick with tension from the very 1st match on day 1 all the way through the final.
Alex is getting closer to the finish line. Great job, both!
