In 2024 so far, if you can keep up with Sinner, you have a chance to beat anyone theoretically. And for Sinner, he handled the post grand slam fatigue period very well with a win. Once again, he shows us that a true champion in the making. He has learned how to win, how to focus on the right points, pushes the right time, not to panic and just win. Again I reiterate, there's a reason Sinner is a grand slam champion. He was way below his best today but still managed to find a way. This is what champions do, they know when to raise the level and shut the door. Sinner did exactly the same thing today, he raised his level at the clutch moments. You cant win every game or every point but you need to win the most important points. Tennis is an individual sport where mental fortitude plays an highly important role. Sinner failed to serve out the first set but immediately broke back. 90% of the players would have collapsed after that game and lost the set. I have been following him ever since he won his first future title in January 2018. But, take nothing away from De Minaur he pushed sinner , probably his best performance against Sinner till date. Sinner just way too mature mentally. In the second Sinner failed to consolidate the break of serve and it was 3-3. But the first point of the 7th game where Sinner did a stretched backhand pass to start the game ,that was awesome and De Minaur just faded after that because his reaction towards his box suggested that theres nothing more he can do..Jannik Sinner - what a player , what a talent. Thank you for saving tennis's future...

Just a reminder that everyone is praising de Minaur for putting up a fight (and he truly deserves it all) but Sinner didn’t gave him a set, didn’t even let the first set to tie break. (he gave ONE set in the whole tournament, 4 set total in 2024) He is doing great so far and people started to have impossible expectations like he will pass every game 6-0 6-1. Jannik also needs good challenges and opponents so he can develop as a tennis player to get better. He will lose a set, a game, a tournament and it is good to lose time to time so he can learn from them too which he did in the past and he has become this player now. Thankfully he is a very self aware kid with a good team around so he hopefully keeps being grounded despite all these mayhem around him🤞🙌

If someone looked at the scoreline or percentages they would be perplexed at how Sinner won that match seemingly so comfortably, but as I stated in my summary, the psychology of the match points to what was really going on.
