I want Sinner to take this one because Medvedev’s already got one but man, I really do love seeing Daniil play. Even if people say he’s boring to watch (which is ridiculous in my opinion) when he’s on he just forces that extra ball every time, pushes his opponents to their limit and demands them to be creative and tactically smart. To me seeing Meddy duke it out with Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverev (and ofc Nole) is the closest thing there is to a Nadal vs Djokovic match right now in terms of the style of game. Hope we see a great final on Sunday and may the best of the two win it all
I feel like the match in this video showed a major tidal shift in the power dynamic between Sinner and Medvedev. For a set or so Daniil was in a mentality of "You're going to chase the ball wherever I hit it until you screw up or I find an opening", but then Jannik just completely turned the tables on him. I estimate that Jannik will retire with 10 or more slam trophies along with 20 or more Masters trophies and 2 gold medals.
A FEW OBSERVATIONS ON AN INCREDIBLE FINAL MATCH: 1) The first two sets were a combination of first-time final slam nerves, an insane groove that Meddy got into for almost two entire sets (it started ending late in the 2nd), and the utter surprise of his approach to move so far in, which took him a while to adapt to. 2) I couldn't believe Sinner won set 3 despite playing from behind, and hitting on only 48% of his first serves against Meddy's close to 70%. 3) Jannik's ball striking and court coverage is so superb, that if he even just improves his net play and drop shots to average levels, his potential ceiling is just insane. 4) I rooted like crazy for Jannik, because he is IMHO the next superstar along with Carlos, and because he is such a lovable person to boot, but II really feel for Med, who when playing at his best is as good an all-around player as anyone, and also a really nice guy. 4) Jannik is so talented, so mature and calm, and such an avid learner, that I am sure he will still improve a lot, as hard as that may seem. 5) Carlos is still my favorite, but I must admit, what a pleasure not to hear a single grunt from Jannik throughout the match.
If they were both fresh I’d honestly give medvedev the best of 5 advantage, but he’s had so much time on court I cannot imagine that not showing up in an ugly way. I guess we’ll see though
Medvedev did so well to keep this match kinda close, because honestly Sinner was incredible in this match. Could’ve beaten nearly anyone in the top 10 6-3 6-2 honestly.
If medvedev wants to win he has to show up playing attacking, dictating tennis. If he plays defensively, sinner will win without a doubt as he now has belief and conviction in his shots, and his volleys to put the points away.

I always said Sinner is the new number one 💯. Biggest treat to Jokovic.
I don't like Medvedev tennis style but i respect him as a player and man. Very strong but i support Sinner

you should think about the dictator in your country😂
AO 2024 is for Meddy not Sinner.
That’s what the Novak fans said. Don’t underestimate the Sinner
Very true brother
