Very informative and interesting!! My husband has PD diagnosed in 2020. I really appreciate your show. So practical and so needed in the PD world. Thank you!!
Love these podcasts; been streaming them all weekend ! I was diagnosed in beginning of 21 then I had a housefire and lost everything! Had to put parkinson's on the backburner!! [Exercise was all i got trying to keep up with contractors. "Door handles not knobs!" 😅] Settled into my home New Years 24. Ever since my parkinson's has progressed physically; glad I found you. I need to get educated fast.
Wow! I'm so sorry to hear of the house fire! I had a family friend experience a similar situation and it took so long for them to get settled in their new home as well. Having that on top of PD....geez! I hope settling has helped calm your symptoms.
@@thesecretlifeofparkinsons ty, 15 months. Time to learn and focus on them. Certainly a great opportunity to make my home more compatible for my parkinson's. I'll keep listening to you and Brian ❤️
Thx for this episode. Our MDS mentioned the gut-brain connection and research into dysbiosis and Parkinson's years ago. Powerful stuff for prevention, slowing progression and maybe cures someday. Also appreciate Martha sharing her journey. Any chance you could get one of the doctors or scientists that she referenced on the show to go into more details?
"Everybody poops!" except pwp. 🤔 And I can say that cuz I am a pwp. I have been using this probiotic (sugar shift) for 3 wks now and I can absolutely say I have more on times. And my tummy issues are much improved.😉 Thank you Martha!!❤❤❤🙏
I’m currently 8yrs diagnosed with PD and recently did a gut Microbiome test with Viome and the results were very interesting and showed some imbalances linked directly with PD. I have been taking the customized Viome pre and postbiotics for 2 weeks now and have to say that my bowel movements have improved and my OFF times have decreased. It’s early days but I’m definitely hopeful that getting my gut microbiome in order may help with my PD symptoms.
Postural Instability Gait Disorder, PIGD. My previous neurologist, dismissed the different archetypes of Parkinson’s. My current neurologist doesn’t seem to know much about them. But there is solid information out there about different types of PD. What I had come across showed up to four types of it but Tremor dominant and PIGD with the primary ones. My PD seems to have become much more prevalent since I had Covid which led to my seeing a doctor and being diagnosed with PD months after Covid, I believe it has an effect on PD. Great episode guys, excellent info!!
Both of them are MDS, oddly my first neurologist(epilepsy specialist) was more attuned to this. 1 thing for sure, every doctor is different.@@williamallen7836

Covid spike protein “rides” around in LPS from the gut bacteria and can exacerbate Parkinson’s. It certainly did for my husband John.
Thank you a really impressive lady.
Yes she is! I'm so glad we had her on to share all her wonderful insights!
Thank you 😊
Great podcast ❤

How much of each? What time do you take it? Thank you for your comment.

Which of the products you sell - is the formula that helped John?
What is the product that helped your husband?
Martha said at first it was the Sugar Shift, but I know she said as his symptoms changed, so did the probiotic needs.
