Thanks for the information. I've had (was diagnosed) with parkinsons 12 years ago and along with many others have found a way of slowing/halting PD with B1 Thiamin Therapy
Good info, I'm definitely in the honeymoon stage, my meds work. I take them consistently, but I know I'm off in the morning when I wake up as I don't take any medication's for overnight at this point. I can still function one off in the morning, but it feels so much better when the meds kick in. Apathy was the symptom that got me to go see my doctor, it wasn't the motor symptoms, not the stiffness or the tremor, but when apathy hit and I saw the episode on apathy on this channel, and found out it could be an early symptom of PD, that got me to my doctors office. Even with medication apathy is the symptom I need to be mindful of regularly. 😵💫
great questions on the advanced parky. he is 100% correct in the advanced stage your dealing with everything he mentioned and more like bathroom stuff. going places and be close to the bathroom is crucial. i wish they would come out with the skin patch that feeds your meds . the fda rejected for a second time on the abbie 951 please do more research on that.
B1 will help with most nonmotor symptoms including apathy, anxiety, energy!! I’m still not taking any levadopa. Dr Patel told me there has been no progression in my scores and to keep doing what I’m doing😊. Please look into it for yourself 🙏🏼
Can you tell me what important questions to ask my Dr about DBS ? He and the Neurosurgeon are going to meet with me and my husband in 2 wks. about it. Thank you 😊
We have 12 podcasts on DBS with 5 different stories. I would listen to Episode #112 to learn more from a nurse practitioner and Episode #7 to learn about Roz's patient story before she had DBS. You might get some good information there.
How many has he/she done? If you were their family member would they suggest the surgery? Everyone is different, but what should you expect to improve after surgery?
Why push meds so soon instead of pushing exercise? I started my meds gradually. No discomfort and no insurance issues. I could not work if I had done it otherwise. SemiRetired now.
Much love & gratitude to you, Jessica! You talk about the hard stuff that we would rather avoid but do need to know

Outstanding episode! Apathy is one of my most troublesome symptoms, exercise helps if I can get myself to do it lol.

Great info in this video, thank you!!!
Could you get the doctor to talk about PD and other diseases. In my case, just turned 80, recovering from COVID KP3, diagnosed with PD in June 2023.😊
Thanks for the helpful info.

The DBS is the hope of patients who have Parkinson's disease
I have 4 people who have Parkinson's and they get better after the surgery of DBS
