@rowan Exactly. I don't get why people lump RDR2 and RDO as the same experience and say that Rockstar neglected, and it didn't live up to its potential. Only RDO didn't, RDR2 was a complete single-player experience.
can i just say that the intro at the beginning of the video was just a work of art and would have made the best trailer for a game in the history of trailers
Bit of a stretch but man I hope we get an update and/or DLC that's only for RDR2's Story Mode. Honestly I'd prefer Eliza over Mary, but cutting Eliza makes sense story wise. I'm honestly in favor of just cutting Guarma all together in favor of having a Southern West Elizabeth or New Austin Prologue (Nuevo Paradiso, Mexico replacing Guarma in the game, not in the story, with The Blackwater Massacre Mission, a New Austin or Sou. West Elizabeth gang camp, and the addition of Jenny Kirk & The Callendar Twins NPCs) to boot, and let the game only have the 2-part epilogue and 5 main story chapters (Chapter 6 being the New Chapter 5) with that Prologue. with all that said, Frank Heck & The Companion Mechanic should also added (honestly don't see why the companion mechanic was cut). Arthur's original appearance (face only. make the original outfit an option) & Eliza Bloom can remain as cut content
@@Edax_Royeaux Well, I'm not disagreeing with you with that. It was just stuff I wanted to see if they did go the DLC route. But, instead of GTA 6, we're getting a Remaster of RDR1 (they'll ruin it like they did GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas' grouped "Definitive Trilogy" Remasters)
Truly, I genuinely think not only will it be "RDR1: Remastered", but the company they'll hire to do said remaster, will be like them going back and ruin the OG Magnum Opus games they made.
They'll probably "Remaster" GTA 4 (TLAD & TBOGT DLCs won't be included but also permanently made unavailable to purchase which is my prediction ofafter RDR1, and if that happens R* will lose my entire support
Arthur actually mentions a a women and a child he had when he was 17 he talked about how he would go visit them often and then one day he went to see them and it was a cross in the front yard he immediately knew what it meant some guys had robbed them. He says this when you're riding with eagle flies venting to him
@@R.M.S_ Yeah, I think they faced a lot of animation and clipping issues in development, which is why they cut a lot of unique clothing items. You can still even see it in the game with the coats and holsters.
In the Mexico part of the video, when the sound started playing i got heaps of nostelgia from loading up the game to spawn in mexico and steal donkeys now im only eleven and my mum had rdr1 and undead nightmare and when I played rdr1 it was from when i was like 5-7 it was really fun.
They could have left Frank Heck in there and allowed John to finish the mission for Arthur in the Epilogue. New Austin needed more content already. What a waste.
I'm pretty sure that the Arthur from the trailer was just a rough unpolished animation, since everyone in the trailers have pretty awkward facial movements and expressions. I have to say, i have 400+ hours in all red dead games combined and probably 1000+ hours of youtube and music watched and even i didn't know some of these. I was sort of familiar with most of them but they had little extra bits in them that i hadn't heard of, and I've never ever heard of Frank Heck so thank you guys for making a fun fact/secrets video about rdr2 that could suprise even me. Keep up the hard and good work.
Arthur did have several face models during development. One could tell they originally just had a different vision for his design where he was supposed to be rougher, more hardened and less conventionally attractive like the final model.
@@themadtitan7603 That is true, I've seen that one many times but their example on what Arthur would originally look like is from the trailer which was just an unpolished beta look into the game.
@_sim0nn637 True. Trailer 2 Arthur looks awkward in between stage. But Beta Arthur looked genuinely cool and like a different vision for the character.
@Edax_Royeaux They were referring to Arthur's original design, not characterization. But you're right, Arthur sounded notably angrier and more hardened based on the cut lines. There's remnants of this in Chapter 1, where Arthur is more confrontational and impatient compared to the rest of the game.
5:09 That's actually a cut character named Leon's Niece. Eliza had a role where she would've been in the game in the prologue. I get why you think that's Eliza, but there is a lot of misspread arround that topic. Eliza had a total of 5 confirmed missions. One in prologue, one somewhere around chapter 3 and a epilogue encounter which would've taken place near Tilly's epilogue encounter. (The epi encounter for Tilly could've been reused from Eliza imo)
They also cut Boadicea, Arthur's horse he mentions in a mission with Hosea, which was a Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred with higher stats than all other HHBs found in the game, and this horse can only be spawned by mods, which also hints at a section of the game where you could play as Arthur in Blackwater before she got lost (or died) in the massacre
@Edax_Royeaux The gang did, and that was because they stole one of their own. Not just petty revenge for the sake of it. This was just Arthur on his own, and he learned from Dutch that vengeance is an idiot's game. But perhaps he did, and that was when he learned that revenge leaves you empty.
They cut a outfit you can see on the internet . The one where Arthur wears a red bandana, duster coat and and blue and white vertical striped shirt , you can actually still make this but the red bandana was cut .
Thought I'd clear up who and what Eliza was originally meant to be. You might be surprised to hear this, but you actually got it wrong. Here's the facts: According to Roger Clark, Arthur's son Isaac was supposed to be in the game, and freeze to death immediately in the Colter chapter, but that got cut. The audio files of Arthur and Eliza arguing have coordinates, and the coordinates are in the west grizzlies. Eliza was supposed to be some girl that Arthur got pregnant before the events of the story, then the baby died in Ambarino, then she becomes a love interest. She likely would've died or left when Mary came in. Dan Houser said that Arthur originally had two love interests, but they decided one didn't work. It's obvious now that the one was Eliza, and they kept Mary in. But considering her small presence, she likely had some cut content too. As for that chapter 5 mission, we got clarity on that and who that was. That was not Eliza. Roger Clark said that there was a cut mission in Guarma involving Leon's Niece (the one armed dude who's friends with Hercule). If you go into the game files, you can find the "Leon's Niece" model which is actually the same model as Eliza. It appears that when Eliza got cut, they used her model for Leon's niece. But, that got cut too. The coordinates of that mission are in the files, and they appear to be in an inaccessible part of Guarma. Guarma was supposed to be much larger, and you can find the original map in a GTA 5 Online tattoo. It was supposed to be open world. But, the open world part of Guarma got cut, and a lot of content/chunks of the map along with it.The Leon's niece mission was one of them, because that took you to a part of Guarma that was no longer accessible in the final product of the map. Eliza's model ended up making it into the game for that widow with the baby that you can see in a side mission. The baby could very well be Isaac's model. Pieces of Eliza's model also ended up being used on other characters. Her body was used on some Valentine hotel cleaning ladies. Her clothing was used on Mary. You can even see a necklace with Eliza's face on it on Mary. The Leon's Niece clothing was also apparently used on different characters, although I forget who. That's the information to the best of my memory. I hope that cleared things up.
Fact another one which was scrapped out is that Arthur was going to survive TB and The Micah fight mission only that they scrapped the idea because of RDR 1 story
Eh, I'm glad they removed Eliza's bigger role as I feel it was the right call for Arthur's arc, but the rest is amazing content that would've improved parts of the story, given us more content or fit the game better.
@@themadtitan7603 Nah man the Mexico thing would've been bad for the story. In the first game Mexico was supposed to be very foreign and so was New Austin, so it seemed more like he was just visiting. If he had been to Mexico before the events of rdr1 he would've been sure to have met many of the side characters in rdr1, and if Rockstar didn't add them in, then that wouldn't have made sense with the lore of rdr1. As for the rest of the cut content, I'm not going to rewatch the video and comment on it again, but when I did watch it before, I still felt it wouldn't fit in.
@@monokill7699 I've always been iffy on Mexico and New Austin too tbh, but if they had included them it probably would've been in a Chapter where the gang goes there without John, like after Guarma. Besides, they already contradicted RDR1's lore in the way you're saying by letting John do missions there. But anyway, in terms of foreign locations, I'm more so talking about Guarma which had so much potential to be RDR2's equivalent of Nuevo Paraiso from the first game but was cut to small, limited section of an island. It fits all the theme of the gang finally making it to the tropical paradise they were seeking only to find it a nightmare and disillusion them with their goals.
@@themadtitan7603 I really do wish they had added more content in Guarma. It was such a short chapter that had so much protentional but ended up being kinda disappointing. Apparently Rockstar added New Austin very late into creating the map, simply because the fans saw blackwater and were hoping for New Austin too. Honestly I think the game might've been better off for lore without it, but then after the epilogue it would've been more boring.
@@monokill7699 True. In the leaked development map, New Austin wasn't even a part of the game and was probably added because people complained that it's missing. as you said. I would've much preferred a new desert state for RDR2 and had John explore it to make the epilogue more fun rather than shoehorn New Austin and mess up the continuity like they did.
I’m not big on these two narrator videos. Both narrators don’t feed off on each other and at first I thought it was the same narrator using different takes. I found it very distracting and would prefer one narrator.

@rowan Exactly. I don't get why people lump RDR2 and RDO as the same experience and say that Rockstar neglected, and it didn't live up to its potential. Only RDO didn't, RDR2 was a complete single-player experience.
Definitely could feel that it wasn't as complete a game as it might've been. I have mixed feelings about it these days
can i just say that the intro at the beginning of the video was just a work of art and would have made the best trailer for a game in the history of trailers
I don't understand why rockstar hasn't added the navy revolver to the single player
Because rockstar abandoned rdr2 in favor of gta online and gta6
Imo the calendar bros could have been dlc like tbogt & tlad
I think the DLC ship has sailed. It seems like they don't want to touch this game with a 10 foot poll.
I usually dont like videos where two different people talk but yall are an exception i love your voices
Arthur actually mentions a a women and a child he had when he was 17 he talked about how he would go visit them often and then one day he went to see them and it was a cross in the front yard he immediately knew what it meant some guys had robbed them.
He says this when you're riding with eagle flies venting to him
they also got rid of the lasso being outside the satchel and being visible
That intro alone made me smash the like button. Bravo good sir. 👍
8:37 kinda sounds like agent 14 from gtav
They also cut custom gun belts where you would have been able to select holster positions and they'd have unique stats and features with em
Why did they cut the deeper customization elements and all the cool outfits. We wouldn't have been stuck with the off-hand holster if they kept this.
Also, originally, there were leg holsters we could wear. One of the Beta Arthur images show this.
I think its bc of the animation will get fkd up
@@themadtitan7603 I think that holster dosent really fit Arthur
@@R.M.S_ Yeah, I think they faced a lot of animation and clipping issues in development, which is why they cut a lot of unique clothing items. You can still even see it in the game with the coats and holsters.
How is it you guys made a better RDR2 trailer than Rockstar ever did, as a mere intro to this video?
love the content kkeep up the good work!
Dude that opening went hard as fucking hell
Great video bro! Nice explanation 🔥
5things that would make this game even more badass and enjoyable than it already is rdr2 the new standard bearer
What a waste.
bro what song was that in the beginning that edit was fire
that intro in the beginning?! perfection.
Always loved the green shirt for Arthur. I wish they still put it in the game and the idea of putting a long sleeve shirt under it
That edit at the beginning 🔥
The voice actor even said that Arthur was originally more angrier in the earlier chapters and he had to redo lines later in production.
(The epi encounter for Tilly could've been reused from Eliza imo)
ayooo its daan!! whats up broski?
They also cut Boadicea, Arthur's horse he mentions in a mission with Hosea, which was a Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred with higher stats than all other HHBs found in the game, and this horse can only be spawned by mods, which also hints at a section of the game where you could play as Arthur in Blackwater before she got lost (or died) in the massacre
scrapping mexico is the greatest mistake made in rdr2's development
Yeah thats something I was thinking about today, was if you could have npc characters come free roam with you.
There is an online Interview with Rob Nelson were talks about the cut companions.
Your work is impressive 👏
Rdr for life
Great video! First one I watched of yours and sub'd as soon as I saw what your content's about. Keep up the great work!
The opening edit alone has earned you a new subscriber 🔥
One of the best ARTHUR Intros ever
Great video! Instant sub! ❤
What’s the song used in the intro. It was epic🔥🔥
It would be good if someone manages to restore all the cut content of this game
A lot of it has been restored through mods like the companion mechanic, beta outfits, and the original John model
Great video as always
Fire intro btw seeing Arthur's revenge for isaac and his wife would've been cool
Does Arthur say he avenged them. I only recall him saying that he asked around and was told that some muggers killed them for $10.
@@themadtitan7603 Given the gang wiped out the Braithwaites over a kidnapping of a kid, it's probably a safe bet the muggers are 6 feet under.
This is great keep it up
The biggest fail was to skip Mexico and go for Guarma
They cut a outfit you can see on the internet . The one where Arthur wears a red bandana, duster coat and and blue and white vertical striped shirt , you can actually still make this but the red bandana was cut .
Base game, chapter 4 and I enjoy riding through Austin
intro actually goes hard
Bruhh that intro was hard af 🔥🔥🔥
6:30 Arthur here looks like cross beteeen him, Micah and Javier
What is the name of the song you used in the beginning?
casually the best intro ever
I love this game so much. Thank you for the Video ! ♥
what soundtrack was used for the bg music in the Frank Heck part of the video?
Thought I'd clear up who and what Eliza was originally meant to be. You might be surprised to hear this, but you actually got it wrong. Here's the facts:
According to Roger Clark, Arthur's son Isaac was supposed to be in the game, and freeze to death immediately in the Colter chapter, but that got cut.
Shrek 2 fairy godmothers cover of i need a hero would’ve fit the opening 😂
The tone of voice you use throughout the video is inconsistent but otherwise this was a well made video
It’s two people
@@RandomGaming-why damn really? I didn’t even know lmao
Fact another one which was scrapped out is that Arthur was going to survive TB and The Micah fight mission only that they scrapped the idea because of RDR 1 story
When the time come you run and dont look back
I REALLY wish Mexico and Guarma played a bigger role in the game. I would've love to travel and do missions in Guarma and Mexico 😞
samee ❤
Great video yall, just earned a sub! Keep it up🔥
Arthur: what’s wrong with him besides being dead
Stranger:chollara
What cover of the song did you use?
that intro was hard asl
Man .. i might be high but i swear i had that frank heck photo
The woman on the boat in the Guarma chapter is not Eliza but Leon’s niece
I'm pretty glad most of these weren't included, still it would've been quite interesting to see!
Damn... That song !
Love you intros boys
thank you
Awesome intro what song is in the intro
Holly crap this only has 600 views! Good video
I’m not big on these two narrator videos. Both narrators don’t feed off on each other and at first I thought it was the same narrator using different takes. I found it very distracting and would prefer one narrator.
I actually enjoyed this video; so rarely do anymore. Most players are online now. I love single player more. Played the story 10 times nearly 😂😂😂
Best single player game ever online is garbage :}
Such a missed opportunity with Guarma
Great video and all but, can please someone tell me which Make It Rain cover is it in the beginning intro
They need to release an edition that has all of this and let’s you go to New Austin as Arthur.
theres a mod that lets you go into blackwater & new austin as arthur.
You could honestly just do a whole video on Guarma cut content
wasn't it something more along the lines of 60% of planned content was cut?
Why is buddy whispering 💀
Frank Heck looks badass tbh.
Agreed.
Why are some of the voiceovers sound like they are whispering??
my guy, I need to know that particular song and singer from intro. Saw comment that it's the worst, but my heart beats faster every "rain" word. Fell in love with that voice, and I need your help to help myself.
all the intro songs should be in the description, but its make it rain cover by yoli mayer or something
here i got you the link :) ruclips.net/video/Ie_uj9HD56g/видео.html
@@zonkers. tysm!!!
What was the cut content from Guarma?
I hate that you can’t explore as Arthur that’s the only thing that holds this game back.
I really wish rockstar added Mexico to rdr2 because it was my favorite part of rdr1
That intro is hot.
Your intro is fucking awesome!!! Totally had to screen shot the the shot with the horse raring with lightning in the background. It is now my phones lockscreen.
Now I'm sad we didn't get to see Issac....
I think in the long run, it was the for the better of Arthur's character arc.
They can bring this all back in rdr3 if they wanted too
