I love the cameras in those cabinets that you found! I have a bit of a vintage/antique camera obsession. They're fun to shoot with!
Great stuff, Jimmy. A house with soul....designers try like hell to recreate this, but never succeed. Thanks

where were those streets again? i might have missed it in the video.
You are very generous Jimmy thanks for the tour.
Awesome tour, Jimmy. Thanks for opening your doors to us. I actually brought home to NC an old drafting table that I found on the streets of New York! I was able to take it apart and load all but the top into my luggage. I did the same with an old Mixmaster mixer from the streets of Lancaster PA. Yeah, I've got the sickness too. Scott
I love the way you describe the stuff. it's a testament to your "vision". You see beyond the surface. Great collection Jimmy. #makermecca
This video made me feel waaaaaaaaaay better about my to-do project list, haha!

+Chris M not at all
Someone cut and edit up all the "Streets of New York" bits, put a techno beat under it, and send it to theneedledrop. It has to be done :D
Wow! this is why I love living near where your farmhouse is. My farm house was built in 1856 but the adjoining acreage has a the remains of an old grist mill I wish I had some of the old grinding stones. I'm sure on your journeys around the area you have seen many around homes and hamlets etc. Thanks for sharing.
Man, thanx your awesome to watch. Gives me a different view when we go out. Truck is busted right now but we have loaded it up. Thanx keep up the good work
i found this comment in the streets of new york
I picked a Bad day to play a drinking game and have a shot every time diresta says on the streets of new York!
Great song in the background around 8 minutes in. Not what I would expect at all. You continue to surprise me Jimmy.

28:20 that real big light socket is called a "Mogul" you can but an adaptor that reduces it to the standard "Edison" bulb size .

... this is david waelder, i found him in the streets of new york!
His house was probably from the streets of NewYork
He's probably too
Having lived in upstate NY your video brings back memories. You know what came to mind? Last fall on Making It Podcast you mentioned wanting to open your property up to the Maker community...one group activity could be is that each cohort could collectively work on a something of yours that could use restoring (e.g. the table, etc.). Reminds me of all the items I see on the sidewalks of San Francisco on my way to and from work each day.
brilliant stuff jimmy
Let's make it a drinking game. Drink every time he says "on the streets of New York".
And just like that I'm blind.
Wasted after three minutes haha
Wish you would do these every 10k cause I really enjoy them!
Congrats on hitting the 600K mark, and thanks for the farm house show and tell.... far away from the streets of New York.
I no longer live in NYC, yet I relate, I love this! Reminds me of finding stuff on the streets! Thanks

Jimmy Diresta AKA the Mirror whisperer
Hi JImmy, congrats with the 600k subs, and thanks for sharing this video. Very nice to see where you live and what stuff you surround yourself with. And nice to see Taylor as well, can't wait to see her first video!
Awesome stuff, Jimmy! Can't wait for the printing press!
also i found this house in this house on the streets of new york so now we rent it. LOL!!
It's nice to see the other side of you Jimmy. The bit add the end with the Mrs made me laugh. As that's exactly what my Mrs says. Or I get when we see things oh no you don't just leave it, we haven't got the room.☺️
LoL I did the same thing, wife is always giving me that look... "No more projects husband!" and somehow I always end up with more projects than time.
If im not mistaken they are not married. I saw in one of his videos he said "Taylor my girl friend"
They will probably get married when she is old enough.
Thanks Jimmy for the awesome walk through of your house, i love the fact that its rustic
Cool place, Jimmy. Thanks for the tour. BTW, do you have a timeline on the ground breaking of the pole barn?
you should rebuild the phone booth it would be awesome

Directa l love the fact that everything you have has a history behind it. Greetings from California.
Awesome tour man! Thanks! I too have "the sickness"! Congrats on 600k!!! ;)
Now that's a house, each piece of furniture has a story. Gotta appreciate that in a world where Swedish standardized furniture is taking over.
I found this comment sitting in a garbage can in the streets of New York, as it it, didn't change anything.
How in the world does Jimmy DiResta not have over a million subs?
yet...
Well yeah
Junk men just aren't as popular as you might think.
Speak to yourself peasant, look at him now
2019 now... 1.5 million subs and I'm one of that number
Love it Jimmy, love it!
Congrats on 600k Jimmy! Thanks for the incredible builds, awesome videos and some of the behind the scenes stories! Great stuff! One question,... where did you find Taylor?!?!?

Nice,.
Great video mate. Thank you for posting.
U live in a beatiful place man.
You are the mirror man.
Thanks for showing us around😀
Awesome Jimmy thanks
What a cool looking house Jimmy! I font tons of stuff too. But since I started hearing about bedbugs, I stopped looking for furniture. One time I found I huge old school looking clock and I carried it home for 3 miles when I was in high school and I got it home and plug it in and nothing happened, so I place it face down on the kitchen table and open the back of the clock to see whats wrong inside it and a million freaking cockroaches come shooting out and scatter all over my mothers kitchen and she's flipping, trying to kill them. We ended up needing an exterminator. My aunt has some of those same chairs, with the supports in back. I think they are colonial style. I hate my reflection, so I would never grab mirrors, but I see them all the time. I wish I knew how to contact you because my aunt passed away last week and her son abandoned the contents of her apartment in Ozone Park and she had tons and tons of 1940s and 50's decorations and the sink in the kitchen was big enough to take a bath in. All 4 inch thick porcelain. The whole building used to be a convent and it was a 6 story walk up with all those same kind of tiles you have in your kitchen and in the bathroom floors of this house.
haha bugs are a risk!!! hit me up any time jimmydiresta@mac.com thank you for the support!! always!!!
Someone who listen to Dave Brubeck's Take Five is necessarily someone good ! ;)
You get extra points for giving things another life. Thanks for taking us into your home Jimmy.
