Great video. Helped a lot but I forgot to plug in the connector to the paddles so no manual shifting 😢 Get to do it all over. 😂

I just ordered the carbon fiber one. Bu the way. how do you like them? Does it feel flimsy? Or does it feel solid when shifting?

These paddle shifters are very solid and I love how they look. They're definitely an upgrade from the factory paddles.

Did anyone here run into issues with the downshift paddle? Mine fails to downshift after changing the paddles out. Upshift works fine.

I did have that same issue when I first installed mine. You need to check the little copper piece inside the switch and make sure it's in place. When you pull the paddle that part slides and makes a connection that tells the car to shift gears. If that part isn't lines up correctly or pinched, it won't let you shift.

@@jdcustomsusa thanks for the advice. So, I pulled the upshift paddle apart to get an idea on how it works, I then employed that method to the downshift paddle. After that, the updhift paddle decides to not work! Hahaha but all was good, 2min later, I fixed the issue. This whole process was long but I actually enjoyed the challenge. Once again, thanks for the informative video, mate!

@@high-explosivemedia I had to play around with both paddle shifters after the initial install too. It was definitely one of the more picky parts to install, but once you see how they work, it's not too hard to get it right, I'm glad the video helped!

I hope you didn't pay $1700 for them. I got mine straight from the factory for $680.

Where? Can you send me the link where you bought them? Looking to get some myself

The exact paddle shifters I installed were from Autotecknic and they're $560 shipped. There are less expensive options available also, which start at $370 shipped. jdcustomsusa.com/products/autotecknic-competition-shift-paddles-nissan-r35-gt-r?variant=28517015748685
