So, excited for this! I got huge into Aerosmith when I was like 12ish. I had two Aerosmith t-shirts that I wore all the time, and people at school use to joke that they must be the only two shirts I owned. Legendary band. So, I guess just for context, Aerosmith was one of the biggest hard rock bands in the 70s, and these guys lived every cliche you can imagine of sex, drugs, and rock n roll! Steven Tyler (lead singer) and Joe Perry (lead guitar) were known as the toxic twins due to all the drugs they were doing. So much so that by the end of the 70s it caused them to break up. They were broken up for like 8 years, and everyone just thought they were down and out, but in the late 80s they surprised everyone, they cleaned up (though literally months ago, they had to cancel shows they were doing in Vegas because Steven Tyler now in his 70s relapsed and how to go back to rehab again), they got back together, and had a miraculous come back in the late 80s, about the time I discovered them. They hit another high in the 90s with a series of very popular videos on MTV, including this one, starring Alicia Silverstone, a popular actress at the time. Not "Cruel Intentions" though. Her biggest was "Clueless", among others. "Blast From The Past" with Brendan Frazer was a favorite of mine. The brunette in the video is Steven Tyler's daughter Liv Tyler. They are real people, they don't front, i've seen some of their vlogs and they show their trailer park and their run-down trailer that they try to make the best of and make it their own, its amazing and refreshing to see. they are so authentic. i grew up in a small town in a trailer park, and it's that small town vibes, authentic. they are my favorite as well. i can relate and absolutely watch them every night. good people! and to find out that they've been together since school is amazing. I love that you did an Aerosmith vid, I grew up in Boston saw them many times when they played local clubs when I was old enough to get in but then the drinking age was 18. I got to know the guys in the band fairly well wish I could have kept in touch with them. I was in a couple local bands and they would pop up at the studio/rehearsal space, clubs etc when they were not touring etc. I will always love Aerosmith. The music scene in Boston was a close knit group everybody knew everybody. I pretty much know most of the local bands that made it big and the ones who should have. The girl in the green sweater in the vid with Alicia Silverstone is the singer Steve Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler. She's been in movies. Loved her in Empire Records if you haven't seen that watch it. I loved reading this. I’m not from Boston, but Connecticut, and my mom managed a little club in Willimantic, CT called the Shaboo in the 70’s and 80’s. She told me about all the bands she’s seen come through there, because the club booked a bunch of huge bands right before they made it big, and Aerosmith was one of them. And in fact, that club is where they performed Dream On live for the first time, and I never even believed that until I saw an article talking about it in the Hartford newspaper years ago. I always just thought it was something my mom “misremembered” about the 70’s lol. Ill always be jealous of the times she must have had there, because all the bands would just hang out after the shows and usually slept upstairs in the extra rooms above the stage (if I recall the club was originally an inn, so a lot of times, the owner would just give the performing bands a room for the night and a bottle of whiskey if he couldn’t afford to pay them properly lol).

Happy Friday Bisscute 😀 For a first time react to aerosmith this has to be a contender for their cheesiest twisted kinda breakup song ever. I recall it getting a lot of airplay a bit controversial due to including his daughter Liz Tyler there's also similarities to cryin the other song of the get a grip album. I guess is supposed to be feminist but you'll wouldn't get away with that in real life , reminded me a bit like a younger Thelma & Louise. There's also a orchestral & acoustic version with more focus on the piano & vocals , you can see why Steve Tyler's known as the scremin demon due to those high pitch's always on fire with the acrobatic moves & Joe Perry's riffs are always epic. I wouldn't rate this us their best, far from it but it does have a catchy chorus , i think you were more detracted by the video so hopefully your come back & dig into them going live, you probably should have started out with the earlier 70's songs like there breakthrough sweet emotion or dream on, anyway I still enjoyed your react, Steve may be right about that kinda love driving me crazy, I'm not sure being wiser & older if that's a wild ride I'll want to go on, but I'm sorry you don't have a pal like that to spend a roadtrip with I'm sure there's someone out there that happily would. I love that you did an Aerosmith vid, I grew up in Boston saw them many times when they played local clubs when I was old enough to get in but then the drinking age was 18. I got to know the guys in the band fairly well wish I could have kept in touch with them. I was in a couple local bands and they would pop up at the studio/rehearsal space, clubs etc when they were not touring etc. I will always love Aerosmith. The music scene in Boston was a close knit group everybody knew everybody. I pretty much know most of the local bands that made it big and the ones who should have. The girl in the green sweater in the vid with Alicia Silverstone is the singer Steve Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler. She's been in movies. Loved her in Empire Records if you haven't seen that watch it. You definitely have to check out their stuff from the beginning in the early 70s and go thru the years and see how they progressed.
I loved reading this. I’m not from Boston, but Connecticut, and my mom managed a little club in Willimantic, CT called the Shaboo in the 70’s and 80’s. She told me about all the bands she’s seen come through there, because the club booked a bunch of huge bands right before they made it big, and Aerosmith was one of them. And in fact, that club is where they performed Dream On live for the first time, and I never even believed that until I saw an article talking about it in the Hartford newspaper years ago. I always just thought it was something my mom “misremembered” about the 70’s lol. Ill always be jealous of the times she must have had there, because all the bands would just hang out after the shows and usually slept upstairs in the extra rooms above the stage (if I recall the club was originally an inn, so a lot of times, the owner would just give the performing bands a room for the night and a bottle of whiskey if he couldn’t afford to pay them properly lol).

For a first time react to aerosmith this has to be a contender for their cheesiest twisted kinda breakup song ever. I recall it getting a lot of airplay a bit controversial due to including his daughter Liz Tyler there's also similarities to cryin the other song of the get a grip album. I guess is supposed to be feminist but you'll wouldn't get away with that in real life , reminded me a bit like a younger Thelma & Louise. There's also a orchestral & acoustic version with more focus on the piano & vocals , you can see why Steve Tyler's known as the scremin demon due to those high pitch's always on fire with the acrobatic moves & Joe Perry's riffs are always epic. I wouldn't rate this us their best, far from it but it does have a catchy chorus , i think you were more detracted by the video so hopefully your come back & dig into them going live, you probably should have started out with the earlier 70's songs like there breakthrough sweet emotion or dream on, anyway I still enjoyed your react, Steve may be right about that kinda love driving me crazy, I'm not sure being wiser & older if that's a wild ride I'll want to go on, but I'm sorry you don't have a pal like that to spend a roadtrip with I'm sure there's someone out there that happily would.
