In Sotfs the respawn may feel increased, i knew about this but it took more to camp the respawn of "the little fucker" than the area boss itself in NG++ lol.
Maybe try killing him BEFORE he rings it? Just be careful not to hit the bell. It's an easy backstab and eventually you can kill him enough to stop spawning altogether.
Why not just go to the ledge on the right of the stairs and kite the bell ringer zombie away from the cubby it is in under the stairs? The whole point is to NOT let the bell ring (every respawn after the bell rings will mean there are more mobs to kill).
This didn`t work for me. I killed the zombie BEFORE it rang the bell, then started going towards the fog gate. It didn`t ring immediately, I started fighting the smaller army of Mastodon knights guarding the gate and the bell suddenly rang up. I ran back to see what the hell is this about and... nothing. The hollow was dead since I killed it, there was no one near the bell, it was simply ringing on its own.
@@adolpino They never showed up for me. But I think that might have been a bug, I killed the hollow again and that time, the bells weren`t rang. But I just ran past everyone now, soon as you figure out how to trick the two Syans guarding the fog gate, it won`t matter that much.
I'm scholar of the first sin. I guess it's a thing in that version anyway, after I killed the bell ringer I walked off thinking it was safe. And then the fucking bell rang again. Came back, and there were like 2 or 3 of the fuckers in the room I killed the last dude in. And after I killed those 3 another came out of the ground. Killed him and they stopped after that it seemed. So far anyway. Point is you may end up having to kill more than one bell ringer
+Frank Wier Sorry for not being more clear about what I meant; I was a bit confused myself when I wrote that. Basically what happened was I killed this zombie, ran back out to the hallway with the pillars and then all of sudden THE BELLS RANG AGAIN and the sorcerers appeared. I died and was ticked because I thought the zombie must be respawning like in the earlier rooms where they come out of the ground. So I respawned, came back, killed him again. Then waited for another one to come out of the ground and killed that one. Only *then* did they stop coming out of the ground. So it's not an infinite respawn out of the ground but just wanted to note that I had to kill two before I was sure the bell wouldn't be rung.
Just know, there are also other two fokkers waiting for you to kill the one under stairs and then they take his place.
The one place I didn't check. Thanks a lot!
I didnt even know that existed!
I managed to get to Velstad and beat him on the first try and without a summon, i got stupid lucky!

I killed him but the bell is still ringing 2 minutes later.
Just reset and killed him again, bell is still ringing. Infinite enemies....

There are 3 hollows there, just hiding in the sand,

Every and all enemies have a respawn limit of 15 times. You need to kill them 14 more times. People die if they are killed.
