Ask not for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee. You'll start on the 'Undead Ditch' bonfire before the boss room. Continue towards the hall where you hear the bell ringing, and head behind the stairs. There's a tiny hidden room where a hollow keeps ringing a bell that can respawn the ghosts. When all of this is done, you only have to worry about the knights. Thanks for watching

Fascinating documentary. Since it was in 2013, I am surprised they do not use a graphic tablet for the rough animation / Lay out. Instead they are using pencil and paper. So it means that they have to scan the result ? Is this an artistic choice ?
To put it simply, doing the animation in pencils is just a cultural thing for anime. They still do it in pencils because it's how they've been done for decades. Some productions do use tablets, but hand-drawn is still the most popular way to go in Japan. There are ways digital tools have streamlined production of animation, but pencils are still how it's mainly done. (Also some have the opinion that a fully digitally-produced anime would look too artificial.)
