YOU HAVE TO DO A MAJESTIC GREATSWORD RUN trust me YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT YOU BECOME ARTORIAS try out powerstance too for a total of 3 special moves besides the one handed ones
one thing you can do to push slightly more damage is buff up your blue flame with crystal magic weapon, it actually increases the damage of spells you cast with it
Good tip! Love how Yaz is too humble to mention that he already knows. I imagine he chose not to use that method, cuz it's overall better to use blue dagger w/ staff rather than blue flame buffed with crystal magic. Just my thought.
It’s very funny that blue flame becomes the best catalyst in the game with an aromatic ooze, especially being able to cast soul spear at a low height makes it useful for point blank casts
Yo Yazz, make sure to NOT kill Maughlin when you do the pyro run, he sells the penal handcuffs (from the lost sinner set, after beating that boss and spending 1k on him) which improve pyro damage by 7.5%! If you really want the tseldora set, you can farm it from the spider-hollows before Freja or just rush lost sinner and kill Maughlin after getting the handcuffs.
@@BowForGloryThere are many things this guy didn't know. And a lot of these videos are from Suggestions. If you don't believe me, he got a lot of help for the Poison build. And lastly, what's wrong with helping someone? Does it bother you? Do you HATE seeing people being helpful?
@@Cerise__ in my opinion, giving advice when not asked is not helpful always. Sometimes it's annoying. There's nothing wrong if someone asks. You see it everywhere.
Yearn is stupidly powerful, a lot of the situational abilities are surprisingly versatile - like most people avoid Poison Mist for being a weak version of Dark Fog but it's great at aggroing hidden mobs or getting rid of poison moths if you're focusing on a melee build. Shame literally nothing affects its damage.
Considering that hexes and pyromancy scales off the same stats and anything resistance to one will be weak to the other It's not a bad idea to do both on 1 build.

I have never used only sorceries, I usually add pyros, hexes or miracles for avoiding dmg resistances, but sorceries certainly inflict dmg. Soul greatsword is my fav.
When I started my first character on DS2, I saw your video with faith build not so long ago. Finally completed the main story with thunder/hex spells, pretty strong. But damn, sorceries are on another level
Eyyy been waiting for another vid from you man. Good shit. As a thank you, another tech. The hand creatures in Black Gulch (named Ridgebacks for some reason) are in puddles of *Oil.* if you shoot them with a fire arrow or roll through them with a torch, it lights it on fire and kills the Ridgebacks after a few seconds. Makes for easy large shard and chunk farming and the souls you get for every kill more than makes up for the cost of the one fire arrow per puddle where they're sitting.
HIGHLY recommend a Blue Flame run one day. That and the Mace of the Insolent are some of the most fun builds. Either dual wielding them for the double buffed catalyst melee caster; or with the Sanctum shield for the added casting options.
Only just randomly found your vids yesterday and have already fallen in love with your stuff, I adore DS2 for the sheer open ended build variety and the ease & options of choosing where to go & when to ascetic - great work dude, looking forward to watching the rest :) *edit* Also, if you wanna get more outta your brightbugs - you can give them unlimited duration by getting yourself wet when you pop them, then quitting out and coming back in to the game, some glitch with your character being wet makes the brightbug not expire until death / area load. I use the pharros mask to set it up in any location, but if you can roll in some water etc then you can also use that to apply the wet effect :)
I think that Elden Ring barely topped DS2 in terms of spells, but DS2 definetly crushed Elden Ring in every other category when it comes to the Caster system and support.

Funny thing. When you had to melee fight dragonrider at the start, the staff would've hit harder with r2 than the dagger due to ds2 handling catalysts differently. Stuff like chimes and staves do deceptively high damage.
