Hi babe! Something that really helps our family is setting a timer and letting them know "hey you have 5 minutes left of TV, I set a timer, once you hear the beep beep it's time to turn it off" and then once the alarm goes off say bye to the TV and ask him to help turn off the timer. Seriously sounds dumb but it helps with everything even at the playground when our toddler doesn't want to leave we set a timer and never gets a tantrum because she prepped!

I totally agree with you on your approach with turning the t.v off. What we do in our house hold, is use a 5 minute warning, (ensuring that Corey has heard) we use Alexa for our timer so he can hear the timer sound go off. He does often repeat this approach to us "in 2 minutes mummy" But you know what Amy, you do what's best for you and your family unit ❤ you really are doing such an amazing Job ! I love that you’re communicating with your toddler like you are. Another thing I find helpful is immediate positive distraction after potentially triggering moments. I saw he was helping with the dishes afterwards, so you’re probably already kind of doing this.
Amazing food! Great video. I recommend to wash with water any kind of rice before cooking. Any kind of rice in general has a lot of dust we don’t see by eye.
High five on the coconut blackbean rice! I make a greaaaat one too. Haitian version i saute epis (spice) first, its differant herbs and spices pureed. Then the next similar steps❤ Its so good i love eating it as is, rice is life!!! 😂
@AmyMacedoVlogs ohhhhh I see. Just rinses out the starch and dirt and makes the rice less mushy but yours looked great anyways..I'm Puerto Rican so my mom told me always rinse the rice lol
What I do for my kids is a tell them 5 minutes before like okay you have 5 more minutes to play that way they can still play a little longer and Know that it's about to stop then I'll try to keep reminding them and that way they are better prepared and not as fussy and since he is so young maybe wait for the show to go off and then say oh the show is going off let's say bye bye
I use the PC ones from Superstore (it's a canadian grocery store) but I'll have a new vlog going up today at 3:30 pm est where I make my own homemade tortillas! 🥰
