I've never heard of green onion pesto, but that sounds fantastic, thanks for the idea! I love seeing people do use-it-up/pantry challenges. I need to get back to that, too, It's hard not to over-cook when we're making things like pasta and rice-based dishes. I love making a veggie lasagna to use up a lot of veggies, and it freezes well so make two, and divide the second one into single-portions for down the road.

@@trinity.linton You and your hubby are doing such a fantastic job of making the most of everything, it makes my heart happy to see families like yours here on YT!!! You can always put some meatballs on the side to use up some of all the meats in your freezer! I'm no kind of vegetarian but for some reason, I enjoy veggies lasagna more than meat sauce lasagna.

Totally not related to your pantry challenge but what size and brand are your Dutch ovens? I wanted to get one and didn’t know it the big one would be too heavy or what size I should get. Also love a good freezer challenge. I do my meal planning based on what is in the freezer so I have been feeling like I have been on a freezer challenge just with grocery prices but love all the great use it up ideas. I might need to try corn dogs. My husband used to love them and we bought some hot dogs that weren’t a favorite so that sounds perfect.

So I have a similar one linked. My dutch ovens were gifts and I was not able to find the exact brand of mine. The brand is BRANDANTI. I will say I like them but the coating is coming off so I probably wouldn't recommend them for really long term dutch ovens. The corn dogs were amazing!

@@trinity.linton Thanks for the advice on the Dutch ovens. I think I am going to try the Sams club brand because my concern is spending a fortune and then the costing being bad. Going cheaper and more disposable seems to be a better plan because those prices are all over the place but the grey color was beautiful 😁
