Damn, this is so high level. Naval’s genius is the ability to take highly complex subjects and to break them down into a way that are easily understandable & relatable. Much respect and thanks for sharing, Naval!
My key takeaways: - You can build leverage by learning how to code, or being a communicator by podcasting, creating videos, etc. - It's not putting 10,000 hours into something. But you take 10,000 tries/iterations at something. - The people with the best judgement are amongst the least emotional. The things that prevent you from seeing clearly are your emotions. - The more outraged somebody is, the worst their judgement is. If they appear like an angry person, getting into fights, you don't want to hand the keys of your car to this person, let alone the keys to your company.
Naval you have a brilliant mind. Your insight into the best investors reading science and philosophy instead of Investment books was something that I found particularly profound. Keep up the great work!
This is worth listening several times and absorbing every nugget of wisdom from it. We live in a world of infinite leverage. First go and earn leverage. Permissoned (capital, labor) and permissionless (code, podcast, books). Once you have the leverage your judgement matters a lot because your leverage allows you to make huge movements in the real world. Warren Bufffet. But CEO pay. Judgement comes from reading widely. Top investors don’t read investment books. They read history and philosophy in addition to other things. Emotions sometimes get in the way of your good judgment. Wisdom is knowing the consequence of your actions. Judgement is applying it to the real world.

"accountable for judgement, judgement is exercise of wisdom, wisdom comes from experience, experience can be accelerated through short iterations."

Naval bhai you rock, you so beautifully encapsulate life philosophies and life skills in these small modules, more power to you
These snippets are so good
Christopher Surnname couldn’t agree more!
I just don’t deal with angry people anymore. They’re all out of my life now.
Brent Nally great to hear. You don’t need that energy.
Same! It's so easy to cut out negativity and once you do it's like a fresh air.
I like this vid. Knowing the long term consequences of your actions also requires good thinking..
Great insight here Naval. Thanks again for this.
Am pretty sure Naval's MBTI is INTJ
Let me guess, you are INTJ too right?
INFP here
