It actually kindof annoys me that they have a whole area with a puzzle, and a boss, and they hide this whole section behind some jellyfish around the corner of a cliff.
The best part of looking this up is that I already found that place. That is the only reason I knew to search for the Gargoyles. I found them 2 years ago and completely forgot how I found them.

Don't even know hot to get to the starting place T.T . Killed the zombie elk and the dragonboy but I am horribly lost and with the bloody archers lurking, every expedition gotta be without many runes on you....
After you kill Radahn, go to the Soul of Grace at Fort Haight and look west; you'll see a bunch of rocks floating in the air. The entrance is under there.
I've been probably looking for this passage for a whole hour cuz I want to do Fia's ending. Funny thing is this is my second playthrough, and I had found the stupid passage first time. I love FromSoft but their mapping system in this game is a*s, way too vertical placements overlapping.

It's a diferent zone, you need to defeat Radahn in Caelid for it to be accesible.
After you kill Radahn, go to the Soul of Grace at Fort Haight and look west; you'll see a bunch of rocks floating in the air. The entrance is under there.

You have to go to Caelid and defeat Radahn first.
Then go to Mistwood and navigate through the crater.
