Thanks for the great how to video. Did you say you use a custom mix of wheel bearing grease and PB Blast ? in your video it looks like you were using just the grease from the can.
Sometimes if you let the rubber soak in oil or pb blaster of some kind, it can be saved, but most of the time, if the rubber is brittle, it is best to just replace it
i prefer using a sidchrome rachet as a hammer ..sorry bangy thing .because if your going to use the wrong tools for the job make sure you use the most expensive tools in your tool box
Any ways to shorten up the shift throw on an A body with a B body pistol-grip? MAYBE a e body shifter with longer arms? ??? Any ideas/suggestions are welcome
The easiest way is to use the shift levers from a actual Pistol grip shifter. They are longer and shorten the throw up quite a bit, I have one, but I didn't use it

hi there, i bought a used OEM hurst shifter for the f-body, i mount it to the Borgwarner St10 and the did not mange to get to reverace , i rebuild it and lubricate but no luck( did not change anything , visual inspection show no internal damage, what you think?
@ramthaLord that is really interesting to honest with ya. My first thoughts would be to take the shifter apart and reapply fresh grease, but I think there could be an issue with the adjustment in the shifter arms that connect the shifter to the trans, but I may be wrong. In my 70 charger, I had issues getting it in reverse, and all I had to do was back my reverse rod out one turn and everything shifted much better. Hope that helps in anyway
You do not take that part of the shifter apart, Dan Brewer at Brewers performance even recommended against doing that. Just replace that part if necessary.

Interesting, usually you see the super shifter 3 with a large mounting bracket that mounts the shifter back about 1 foot for b bodies.
