Geez. Every game, the narrator is like: "The Patriots offense moved the ball with ease, running up over 400 yards of total offense. Curtis Martin was unstoppable. The Patriots defense forced 8 turnovers and held the opposition to less than 100 yards of total offense...... ......Final Score: Patriots 3. Opponents 37."
to those who womder why kraft broke with parcells. this disaster of season was why. let key offensive players walk amd all bledsoe had left was coates and martim
I have taken notice, that even during the 1996 season, they did not see eye to eye, lets not forget during that superbowl in 1996, it almost look like he did not want to prepare the team and KNEW he was leaving the pats regardless of the outcome. Just look at his face during the 1996 afc championship, it looked like parcells did not want to be up there on stage for the lamar hunt trophy presentation and looked like he wanted his team lose that game so he could make his plans easier to go to the jets.
+Jose Mercedes i think bellichick would have staid if kraft offered him the head coaching job."of course bb with bledsoe for years on end? that would have been awful
Parcells walked because he was hired by the owner previous to Kraft, James Orthwein. They had a handshake agreement that Parcels could have full control of the roster. When Kraft bought the team he didn't honor that "agreement". The relationship between Kraft and Parcels was over before it started.
Love my Pats, but damn Curtis Martin was overrated. Good back. Hall of Famer? Hell no! I don't know how he got it. And how he retired the 4th leading rusher all time, I'll never know. One yard at a time I guess.
You know, I feel the same way and thought maybe I just missed something. Love the guy, but he just doesn't seem like a HOF running back......when you think of the others.
@@theatreofpain3183 he was amazing in his prime same thing with terrell davis, i think terrell was better in my opinion but he got hurt i think after his 7th year or so 2001 i do believe.
Hopefully you'll have the 1997, 1998 and 1999 season for the Patriots up soon. Thanks SMC6 for posting!
This is where Parcells missed BB. He said that during the Two Bills documentary

+Jose Mercedes krafts says now his mistake after 96 was letting bill go...but hes talkimg about brllichick, not parcells lol
True what sucked that parcells took his entire coaching staff with him so he could not get belichick on the team.
